So, in 2012 the Mayan calendar ends, and the polls are suppose to shift. Many people predict the end of the world, while others seen a shift in consciousness. I was just wondering what everyone else thinks (or maybe knows?) is going to happen.

I'll laugh if nothing happens at all in 2012 or specifically, the 22nd of December of 2012. It's most likely a load of old crock designed by 'New Agey' type companies wishing to cash in on the typically vulnerable and gullible consumers. Just like the Y2K was an idea spun by some technology companies to make people buy their Y2K-safe stuff. It is nice to believe we will all shift into the next dimension, or Jesus is going to rock down on a cloud and save us all. But if you want to shift or get saved, do it yourself; no wonderful deity from Pelaides or Heaven is going to do it for you. It is your choice after all.

I also don't believe in the end of the world but will make sure to build a nuclear fallout shelter with capability of 30 year stay-in.
I think that every person that gets into possession of several millions of dollars should build at least one super-shelter for his family. There should be made also many super-shelters for many important scientists so that there will be a continuum of knowledge that will surpass the 1st transition if something goes awry and it will! Maybe the world has already ended several times over for each and every soul who believed strongly enough in such a prediction.

Isn't that supposed to be the foundation of Subjective Reality?

Surely, a handful of humans died at exactly midnight New Year's Eve at the Y2K moment. How many of them believed in their heart of hearts it would mean the end of the world?

And while we may have perceived their physical deaths as coincidental, how do we know exactly how THEY perceived it? Perhaps, at the critical moment, in their minds they saw multiple mushroom clouds, or a great comet hitting the earth, or perhaps even Jesus riding out of the sky in holy glory.

If you want the world to end badly enough, it will do so. But it's probably going to be just a private show. Most of the rest of us will still be right here, enjoying the Grand Illusion.

I wonder whether you guys would agree that the world is changing, and has been changing a lot faster in the recent decade. I have known about this '2012' festivity for about 10 years now and have read on it, studied some on it and have found others who do the same.

One of the reasons my partner and I are buying a large block of land is to be able to accomadate many others if there's a need for a shelter place in the future. Naturally that's not the main reason as such, but the idea is there in the back of our minds. It will be situated over 100mtrs above sealevel. The climate is changing and I do believe that we will see many more extreme weather forms and what not happenings in politics. It's building up. Stuff is already happening before 2012 so it's not like the huee cablooie will happen on the 22nd december 2012 ..pm beam me up scottie.... I haven't been wondering about nuclear missiles stuff as it will be a game over anyhow then. You die when you do right? However, I'm contradicting myself a wee bit here I mean would you like to still have kids when you think it will go that way? Too doomy gloomy for me

2012 is supposed to be an important year for the supposed world elite. Apparently it marks a new era for them. In real terms, it probably has more to do with the free trade/freedom of movement agreements. For example, the EU expanding to include Turkey, and the north American union. The ultimate goal is removing national borders as we know them in the present day. As to whether that's a good thing or not, is down to personal opinion I guess.

I'm not expecting anything else to happen.

changes are happening RIGHT NOW on an unprecedented global scale.

Everything is becoming globalized such that eventually no country will be able to sustain itself without others. As of right now an economic hit in china directly effects the American economy. Further nations are turning into Unions and currency is merging into one.

I personally don't see this as an entirely bad thing. It seems to be the natural course of socio-cultural development for humanity. There may likely be some bumps in the road.

The thing about 2012 is it is not just one thing that says the world is going to change like 2000 or interpretations of Nostradamus. Hundreds of different things are pointing at dates around 2012. From now through especially 2010-2012 there will probably be big changes in all wings of the world such as politics/government/etc. I believe there will be some kind of shift in 2012 possibly to a different state of mind or we could all just be thrown into a more astral like world! Many remote viewers say they can not look past a certain date in 2012 and many mediums have channeled beings talking about a shift.

In 2012 I shall be 21 years old. My personal belief is, Aliens are going to come and observe us, not harm, just watch. As for the world ending....You never know. I asked my brother what he thought about 2012 and the world changing. He told me that each year earth moves slower and slower while spinning on it's axis (not sure if this is true, but my brother is pretty damn smart. He took college when he was 15 years old. He's 18 at the moment and already as 63 credits. He will be attending UCF for areospace/mechanical engineering as a junior double majoring). One night me and him got to talking, he told me he knows for a fact We aren't going to be living on this planet forever. Just look at history....Anyways, I asked what he would do if the world did end. He said by the time the world ended he would already be up in space =] I laughed and said "I'm coming with ya man"
I have no doubt in my mind that the world will end, as to the specific date, who cares. All I know is, I know in the future I'm going to be living up in space before it happens.

when i looked at prophecies and predictions, you easily forget a simple rule we call paradox.

the mayan calender ends, i must say they where most accurate.
on the other side of the globe that is.
events have a rule of time.

when knowing the future, a choice becomes available.
allowing the prediction to come to pass, or fight to negate it.

maybe someone has been taking action to prevent it and that prevention is actually the cause of the prediction itself.

it cannot be pinned down by a calender, that`s like marking a day with a whiteboard marker on a plate, when you will be going for a picknick.
a calender is but a guide a prediction itself basically formed on calculations.
then may i remind you that the earth has allready been through several time shifts, a person that is energetically close to nature will have noticed spring started earlier then the damn calender said.

the point is more do you want to feel safe and know before it happens?
