Peace Lily - Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you're doing very well already!

And you have said it exactly. Our willingness to know more affects the level of wisdom given to us. One of the great things about going into the Records, is that we realize how different reality is than our preconceptions, and what is given to us as history is just a certain perspective, if not outright wrong. Even if we are accessing the Records, our own conflict and bias will make our interpretations vary from other people. So a formal training, if it's done correctly and responsibly, will be like undergoing a spiritual path where we are asked to release our conflict first - before anything else is learned. "You must unlearn what you have learned" was the quote from Yoda. Not just to ensure a deeper connection to the Records, but to help us be a neutral source so that our interpretation is clean.

And there is so much misinformation out there within the spiritual/new age community, that it is great to have a direct, personal experience and not just written/oral information. I've read one recent book about the Akashic Records that was just such a compilation of new age misinformation that I had to stop reading it, although many people seem to like it. And there are other ways to get direct, personal experience - having an OBE to gain more wisdom can be life changing (i.e. realizing that there are beings such as angels and pan realm beings that don't have souls, experiencing time as maleable as we visit people in the past, etc).

Experiencing the totality of the Akashic Records is a matter of focus and willingness, which we can do on our own or with a guide, either in person or in spirit. If you're already hearing Masters and Teachers quite easily, then it sounds like you have guides that can give you a formal training. I first learned methods from an enlightened mystic, who learned from a guide in spirit when was out of body as a kid. I think having a formal training helped immensely, not just in releasing personal conflict and having support, but to release new age misinformation (i.e. what you put out, you get back) in developing an emotional maturity to shift into an empowering perspective and even know the meaningful questions to ask.

Typically we can fool ourselves so easily if we're on the path alone, and we can't do that so much when we're in relationship with anyone. My friend has a saying "Genius at work, idiot at home", meaning his wife really knew him. Also, it can be much easier working with someone because we can be so hard on ourselves if we're going it alone.

And if you're accessing the Records, you can simply ask them for more wisdom as well on any of the topics you want to know about. That's always a plus!

I have a question. Is there a relationship between reading in Akashic records and vegetarianism? I mean, it might influence things like ease of access or precision of reading.

Roy - Thanks for asking! I don't think anyone has asked about diet/nutrition before, so let's cover it.

Everyone knows that what we eat does affect our thoughts/emotions, and yet for accessing the Records it becomes more a matter of food combining and eating at the appropriate time. For spiritual progression (i.e. shifting into enlightenment), we can eat whatever food we want as much as we want. It doesn't have a real bearing since it's more about fully accepting ourselves and the present moment.

For accessing the Records, I'll recommend people not to eat a lot of sugar, like chocolate, before doing a reading, because it can totally skew our interpretation. Also eating a protein (i.e. hamburger, steak) and a carbohydrate (i.e. pasta, baked potato) is also not recommended, because our bodies will produce 2 different enzymes to digest them, leaving one less digested. It zaps our energy and makes us sleepy, making it harder to stay conscious as we try to dive into the pre-conscious state to access the Records. It can be hard enough to stay conscious just because of our own conflicts, let alone with food combining.

There is also a thought that certain blood types need certain types of foods to stay healthy. I feel that everyone can simply explore what types of nutrition work the best for them.

In the past I've eaten meat and found no problem with accessing the Records. Currently I only occasionally eat fish and mostly veggies and fruit, and again no problems.

Immanuel Swedenborg accessed the Records fairly frequently, and you can read about his diet as he kept a diary of it. He ate some eel but mostly veggies, fruit, breads, but even coffee with a lot of sugar and desserts. Some people will drink caffeine (I know I have when I've been jetlagged) to help stay awake - my experience is that it influences a reading less than sugar.

Hope that helps!

I wonder... Is it possible to call for an ascended master that will help you with learning how to access and use the akashic records? How about an ascended master in general to help you develop your psychic abilities?

Veloci - Yes and yes. And there is an Akashic Records Master that will help us when called upon. If we call on our guides in a prayer right at the beginning of the process, it has the best effects. When teaching I use integrative methods that include saying a prayer to our guides at the preparatory stage.

Hi ChrisL...

Totally agree with the above... as an avid Akashic Record reader and teacher... I would also strongly recommend avoiding alcohol and recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before accessing the records... makes our field very loose and porous ... therefore affecting the information recieved.

Peace,

Agree, how much food is influencing our states and that certain foods are much better than others.

I sometimes do readings for free for other people.

Often when I look for reasons for their difficulties I find that there happened something in a different lifetime as also there are some people who feel the result of what they did to others in a different life.
I'm very hesitating with the info, as I mostly probe back with suggestive questions, to check if a person is 'ready' or open to this information.
I find it tricky, as I get explanations, but I can't deliver it in a format that serves the other person and me, so I leave it out.

It gives me the slight feeling I'm not good enough or not a good communicator, I try to rephrase it but even with the most of creativity it still feels 'wrong'.
This occurs often and I get what I found out often reflected back later, as validation.
I feel also a responsibility to what I'm saying, as also a need to become better to deal with deeper things, because for myself I don't think too much, just 'rigorous'.

You have a lot of experience with this (?), so your viewpoint or suggestions could help me a lot.

I have a short side question.

Is it possible that ascended masters incarnate and live a life where they are totally deluded and suffering, like struggling with a certain career path to become famous or rich?

It's funny you say that. The last couple of days I was thinking the exact same thing; is it possible for a powerful being to be purposely cut-off and placed in a human body without a clue?

Summerbreeze - If you believe that you're responsible for how someone acts when you give them information, you will have a hard time giving readings. Find ways to empower the individual, but let them have their own experience, including whatever actions they want to take. You are in a position where people will listen to you, so you want to be responsible with what you say, but you're responsibility ends with the information. I don't tell people what to do as much as give possibilities - they make up their own minds.

Summerbreeze and Midnite - Remember, all the lifetimes are happening simultaneously. So you will likely discover that even an ascended master has had lives where they were struggling. We ourselves are putting blinders on ourselves, "pretending" that we don't know, until we finally fully accept ourselves and let ourselves become enlightened.

And there are cases where people have become enlightened, only to come back into another life where they are not enlightened, only to become enlightened again. There are a variety of reasons for something like this.

To be born fully enlightened as a baby, the mother would also have to be enlightened or the energy of the baby would kill her. With Mary, Jeshua's mother, she was already enlightened so that she could carry his vibration without dying, and she took several lifetimes to prepare herself for that task.

After enlightenment, we have the option of incarnating again or not, and we choose our state of awareness. And if enlightenment is more a response than an event, then we can all choose to wake up whenever we want - in any lifetime - regardless of the struggle or blinders we have placed on ourselves.

So essentially we are all masters who temporarily don't have clue, and playing hide and seek with ourselves, until we're done with the game!

That made it much clearer for me. It helped

I'm looking forward for the reading to find more of my personal reasons, so I can keep things simple.

Thank you.

ChrisL and everyone....

I just ran into a very cool vid on youtube about a young 22 yr. old who can rememeber his past lives and also his work in the Akashic records before he was born. His memories are very intense and he's also made many drawings....this is so cool! Check it out:

Angelpsychic: pleiadians? I know some souls are from the Pleiades ( not looking at anyone...or am I?). I've never been told "where from" my soul is and I don't really want to (recently been quite put off from psychic readings) but I always felt strongly for Orion. It has been my favourite constellation from the moment I saw it on a star map. I can just stare at it for ever...

Chris,

Thanks for your great response. After reading the book and accessing the Records, I did take a formal class and it was helpful to me (guess I forgot that part)..I took Level I and II. I love where you state that we need to un-learn false beliefs. When I first was going in for myself the MTLO's would consistently tell me, "You don't know everything." I actually loved it and they also had this very loving and compassionate way even as they let me know how "off base" I can be. I have noticed that I have a tendency to go in with a very different approach in my questions since the early days. At times, I will ask to see what is underneath my current feelings, perspective, etc. because the very fact that I am struggling with something indicates that I am "off base". Accessing the Records at these times cuts my processing time waaaay down...haha. I also take myself far less seriously these days.

Interesting, what you had to say about New Age mis-information. How does one get around that...truly, because it is EVERYWHERE. This is why I have steered away from outside formal teachings on spirituality throughout my life. I think I have felt safer to be in the Records as I know they are protected. I don't believe I have read the book you speak of but I will ask a couple questions: How does one get info from the Records and have it be mis-information? Are there different levels of Truth in the Records? Are we be responded to at the level of "truth" we are currently resonating with? I have at times double checked myself and asked if the info was coming from me or if it is from the Records. I use this as a safeguard when something is "familiar" to me. It has been me before, so I asked to let go of known beliefs and to receive the information clearly.

Hi Chris,

I was wondering if you have any interpretations of the Law of One series?

I started a thread about it so feel free to answer in there, but I was wondering your take on it.

It mentions the Akashic Records at one point- the interviewer asked whether Edgar Casie was a....erm special presence on earth (or something) and Ra replied "No, he was an earth being who had access to what you (=humans, 3rd densities) call the Akashic Records". I can't remember the page but it was in the first book.

Not only this, but it also mentions a lot of things you have talked about in terms of the way things 'work' and the complex systems in place.

It would be good to get your insights on this as it seems to have a lot of information.

Thanks for reading

For those of you who had trouble thinking about reincarnations happening simultaneously yet in order. I think I might have in some sense explained the idea, or at very least, given a very simple analogy.

My Thoughts on Consciousness and Reincarnation

Tell me what you think, and ChrisL- I'd love to hear your opinions.

Also, I'd love to keep this thread going, if possible, as it seemed to have a lot of collective interest.

Summerbreeze - Keeping life simple works for me! Thanks for the reminder.

AngelPsychic - Thanks for the link. It's amazing what we can remember or recall if we know how. Just one thing I wanted to mention from the link. He mentions memory in the brain, and our memories are actually in our soul's and body's etheric bodies, which essentially gets "uploaded" into the Records.

If you like stories like that, search on Youtube for "James" + "Reincarnation" (I've mentioned this several times on this thread), and you'll see some news footage about a child who could remember his last lifetime in pretty good detail. I think you'll enjoy it.

Weena - I hope that you become your favorite psychic Weena.

Peace Lily - I don't know if we can avoid misleading information, as much as try to be discerning and invite our own personal experiences. The actual information from the Records is raw data - depending on our own conflicts, our ability to access the Records and interpret them accurately can be way off. The same thing happens in the regular world when we have a judgment or emotion that we filter life through. I'm not going to mention the name of the book or the author because some people feel really aligned with her, though there is a lot of new age misinformation in the chapters I read.

You could say there are different levels of truth, but it's more accurate to say when our consciousness shifts we allow more of the whole truth as an answer. Again, it's like the difference between seeing the world at ground level and 50 feet up a tree - the reality hasn't changed but our perspective is allowing more of the truth. We can always ask more clarifying questions to get a deeper or more accurate answer. The more we have no personal stake in the answer, the clearer the answer can be.

Oceans - I haven't read the Law of One series, but it sounds interesting. The followers of the Law of One were the group that existed after the split up of Atlantis. They went all over the world and established the earth-based spiritual cultures, while another group stayed in Egypt. Yes, Edgar Cayce was an Akashic reader, just like many other people who are just like us. I'll take a look at the thread! You're welcome!

Cam - Thanks for your insights! I read your post and it looks like you're on the right track. Time is the imposed illusion we place on ourselves to experience a linear incarnation with others, and yet while we're in it, it feels very real. Simultaneousness is also a reality which we experience in deep moments of meditation. I like using the analogies of a movie dvd - choosing to watch one frame at time (linear life), choosing particular moments forwards or backwards in the movie (accessing the Records in past/future), having watched the dvd we remember the whole movie and can recall moments whenever we want (simultaneous life).

And speaking of moments, we incarnate to experience moments, not necessarily the whole lifetime. We might only want a few moments, then the rest of the life can be an added bonus. We may only meet someone for an instant to say "thank you", and that was the only reason we met them in this particular life. Sounds strange but true.

Especially with the transformations happening right now, and in June-Aug 2011, the Akashic Records will be even more accessible for us. This is not a shift in the Records themselves per se, as much as a reflection of our collective consciousness shifting, that then gets reflected as easier access to the Records.

If you have any intuitive inclinations, this would be the time to dive into them!

I've been asked for my understanding of ascension, so I wanted to give a description of it here for everyone.

First of all, ascension doesn't mean that we can never come back and be on Earth again. There are plenty of ascended masters who are still actively helping out in a variety of ways. Once we become enlightened (living consistently from the Oversoul perspective and have released all internal conflict), then we have the option of whether we are going to incarnate again. So technically, we could become enlightened and then never come back into incarnate again - we don't have to go through the ascension process.

If we are in physical form, then we are composed of an evolving body and a static soul. When the body dies, there is a leftover portion of energy which we could call the spirit or ghost. When we incarnate, one spirit combines with one soul into a new physical baby body. Typically, the spirit/soul combination will change with every lifetime, until the spirit (the evolving energetic portion that is leftover from the body) decides that it wants to become a soul.

At this point, a signal or call goes out to find a soul that will help it with the ascension process. Once an appropriate soul is found, the spirit and soul will incarnate over and over together until the ascension is complete - raising the physical form into an energetic state so that it becomes a soul.

The Dalai Lama is a great example of this. The same spirit (energetic body signature) and soul have incarnated over and over to help with the ascension process.

Once we (as a soul) ascend the physical body, the body has evolved into a soul, meaning it now has other options. It can automatically form a physical form to exist on the Earth without incarnating, or it can choose to incarnate the way we all usually do. The soul which helped the body ascend, can also simply form a body without having to go through the birthing process.

And we can choose to stay on Earth and help out where appropriate, or we can move onto other adventures - our choice.

Your truth seems to come from your experiences with Akashic records and Buddhism, I take it you don't really believe that we have a post life review and than consciously choose our next experiences or growth direction. To use a metaphor theres a amount boxes and inside them is our next life experience and we're instinctively drawn towards one of these boxes.

Minerva - You're welcome - I hope that helped!

Supertom - That very brief explanation of ascension was drawn from gnostic mysticism as well as my personal understanding. Depending on what the question/topic is, I try to use appropriate wisdom from a variety of spiritual paths - Sufi, Gnostic, Esoteric Christian, Buddhist, Yogic, Tantric, Native American - plus my own experiences. I try not to have beliefs as much as be curious about having an experience.

You're right - we do have a post-life review, typically going over important events and our response/reaction to them as we review the Akashic Records. Depending on our level of internal conflict/clarity, we move onto the next greatest lifetime adventure for our soul. We ourselves setup the number of lifetimes that we want to have, then we move back and forth throughout time to have the next adventure that is needed.

And our personal beliefs have a bearing on our afterlife as well. In the waiting time before we incarnate again, if we have a belief that we need to suffer/atone for what we've done in our last lifetime, we will have that experience for awhile. If we have a belief when we die that we will see our friends and relatives, that will happen also. If we have a belief that we will go to heaven, that can be our experience too.

The movie "What Dreams May Come" was a great example of our subjective, internal world being projected onto the astral plane, how we can punish ourselves, how our consciousness can shift, how we create agreements before incarnating again, etc. Because our spiritual guides and the many astral realms are so accomodating to our personal beliefs, there are a variety of experiences for different types of people of different paths.

@ChrisL you explained it elegantly

What I don't get is the distinct between the soul and spirit, my thoughts were like so which one am i, when i die which one do I experience. As i was typing this I picked up a AAA battery to play with, I notice that I was two very distinct person but i would say i was both equally (one of them seemed to be a soul a very present and powerful watcher, the other was more flesh and human).

Edit:
I think i understand now... ascending the energetic body wasn't originally the plan but somewhere along the line it became self-aware and aware of its death so it sought its own survival, this opened new areas of learning and expansion for source so it was decided to help ascend the body, grant it eternal Validity and at the same time the souls could have unique experiences. Am I close

Supertom - We are a combination of soul and body consciousness. The body and soul are 2 seperate entities - one is an evolving entity, the other is a static entity. When we die, what we consider as "us", is our soul. The memories from all of our lifetimes gets stored in the etheric body of our soul. For the body, the memory of the most recent lifetime that it has, gets stored in the body's etheric body (spirit). When we do an Akashic reading, unless the person is on an ascension track, the body signature (spirit) has one set of Records, and the soul has another. Most people don't know this as they treat the person as one entity. Once we have paired our soul with a body (spirit), then the Records will look the same, meaning that each life from that moment will be a shared experience of the same soul and spirit.

You're close. We actually can come into a star system (as a soul) with the intent of helping to ascend bodies to become souls. We can go from system to system helping create souls. A physical human body is the highest form of physical evolution that we have on Earth, meaning that as a human body, that particular entity went through all the other cycles (i.e. mineral, plant, animal forms, etc) before becoming human. Then once a body, which is an evolutionary life form, wants to evolve into the experience of a soul, it will pair up with an already existing soul to help it.

The benefit for the body is that it evolves into a soul and can then have all the experiences of an eternal soul. The benefit for the already existing soul which has helped with the process, is that it can take any physical shape that the body has already experienced along it's evolutionary path - including human - without having to go through the incarnational birthing process.

Everyone - There have been various understandings of ascension, and various individuals who have demonstrated it throughout history and all over the world. At the time when Jeshua was trying to demonstrate ascension as an alternative to death, it was a suprise when John the Baptist was beheaded. The whole group that was involved with the esoteric teachings in that area, men and women, were lined up for ascension together, with John and Jeshua as the wayshowers. Other groups have ascended together, like people on Easter Island and the Yucatan Peninsula.

After the beheading of John, Jeshua placed his body on the fast track for ascension. He purposely didn't eat much and stayed in a meditative state quite a bit, to the point where the disciples would plead with him to eat something. The great part right now is that we don't have to go through all the drama that others, including Jeshua, went through to ascend. He consciously stirred up drama with the Jewish authorities and the Romans to get energy focused on him so that he could use it to ascend. None of us have to do that now, nor do we have to die first before we ascend. There is a period where the body and soul become seperated temporarily that can appear as death, but that is so that the body can get a glimpse of itself as an eternal being without having to refer to the soul.

At this time in history, it is easier to move through the ascension process than at any other time.

The last post explained lots stuff, that was interesting.

I would like to ask you something.

What happens 'technically' when we dream of other lifetimes or get glimpses of them during the day?

What kind of beings are higher selves and souls, do they have a job/agenda beside 'incarnating', how much do they influence us?

Lucasc - Every lifetime is affecting every other lifetime, just like every moment affects every other moment. Consider a bicycle wheel, with the middle representing our Oversoul, and the spokes representing each of our lifetimes. Now think of this whole representation as more like a spider's web, with not only lines radiating outward, but lines connecting every lifetime, radiating from the center of the web towards the outside.

Although we typically experience lifetimes in a linear sequence, they are all happening simulteneously. What does this mean in practical terms?

This is going to sound strange to some people, but when we are asleep, our soul consciousness is busy doing a variety of things. Sometimes we're processing the daily activities, sometimes we're visiting other people/places on the planet as a spirit guide (i.e. mentoring others, helping with natural disasters, helping resolve conflicts, etc). Other times we are actually visiting the other lifetimes.

When we are awake, we can have some moment that triggers another moment in another lifetime - like our current lifetime strand is energetically connected to another life strand on the web of lifetimes, linked by a similar moment. We can have many such moments in our lives, and also feel connected to more than one lifetime when this happens. This kind of moment can happen from anything - eating a similar food, seeing a person that we've known before, visiting the same place as the other lifetime, doing the same work, etc.

One of my first examples of this was when I was visiting Lake Powell in Arizona. For some reason, I had the urge to kneel down into the water and splash water on my face. Because I used to do this very same action in another lifetime, when I opened my eyes I was seeing not Lake Powell with power boats, but the lake from the other lifetime with wooden boats and sails. This lasted maybe 10 seconds before the reality faded back into present day.

Technically when we're awake and get glimpses or episodes like I described above, we are allowing ourselves to move into the Oversoul position to experience other lives. When we are enlightened, we can access any of the lifetimes to use their wisdom in the present moment all the time, because we are consistently living from the Oversoul perspective. Essentially, we are experiencing life from the middle of the bicycle wheel/spider's web, as well as experiencing ourselves on this particular lifetime strand. We can experience a variety of moments from any of the lives simultaneously, without getting confused. In a way, this would be like watching moments from several movies, or listening to several songs at the same time, but integrating what we need and using it right now.

We make up terms like "higher selves" as a way to delineate consciousness. What we call higher selves would be us operating from the mental plane, corresponding with the 5th chakra. We all have 7 main energetic bodies - physical, etheric, astral, causal, mental, celestial and christ bodies, which correspond with the 7 main chakras in the central chakra system.

At some point, there is only consciousness - there is no higher/lower self or other distinctions. A soul is composed of energy and consciousness and is a static being - meaning that it doesn't need to evolve into a higher state of being like a body wants to. A soul doesn't even have to incarnate if they don't want to - there are plenty of beings that don't come into physical form. In fact, there are beings, like angels and pan realm beings, that don't even have souls.

As souls, we travel around from star system to star system, having a variety of experiences, helping physical forms ascend. It's not like they have a job/agenda per se, as much as this seems to be a natural expression for them. And at some point in the human experience, when we have had enough of lifetimes, we explode like a star, and all those experiences that we've had, become other beings who also have their journey of discovery.

Our Oversoul affects us quite a bit, though if we have a lot of conflict going on, we tend to rebel against it, like a kid does with a parent. ha! Think of our Oversoul almost like the conductor in a symphony, where each lifetime is represented as a different but very much needed musical instrument. The Oversoul connects all the lifetimes together, creating a musical harmony and coordinating everything between them. When we are flat/sharp in our lives, the conductor helps us get more in tune - which might come in the form of being inspired, feeling "off" about something, etc.

Taking the music analogy further, our souls resonate at a certain natural frequency. When we incarnate into a human form, that resonance changes for a variety of reasons, including conflict. Essentially we are attempting to shift back into our natural resonance/frequency while in physical form. The less conflict we have, the more we access existing wisdom from body-soul, the quicker we progress spiritually, the easier it becomes for us to manifest our heart's desire instead of our conflicts, the more we return to our natural frequency, which in turn attracts others of our similar vibration.

So essentially, being ourselves, whatever that looks like on a momentary basis, is the heart of why we are here, but also the key to having a conscious effortless life.

Hi Chris,

From your post I am led to believing that having an opened throat chakra is key to being able to listen to your higher self. In this case no wonder I cannot get much information from him through other means that isn't claircognizance.

lol, >_<

Tony - The 5th chakra (throat chakra) represents things like willpower, creativity, the ability to ask for what we want. If we understand that the heart chakra is exactly in the middle and acts like a mirror of issues (the lower 3 chakras being more influenced by the body, the upper 3 more influenced by the soul), then throat chakra issues also get mirrored in the 3rd chakra which represents personal power. If we can't ask for what we want, then we aren't listening to ourselves on some level, we aren't acknowledging ourselves.

The 6th chakra represents our ability to envision life, be inspired, and can be very active in intuition like clairvoyance, clairaudience, etc, and the 7th chakra is our connection with the Divine. And recognize that just like with time (every moment affecting every other moment), each chakra affects every other one.

The more we can naturally be in our bodies and engage our senses, the more naturally intuitive we become. Then the intuitive gifts will come when they are needed - you won't have to think about which gift to use. You will see, hear, smell, feel whatever you need to in the moment, including the higher octaves of our senses like clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience.

With this natural expression, the lower 6 chakras are fully balanced, and we are consistently operating from the 7th chakra.
