| I would love to hear a rational explanation for this. Ever since I was young, watches have stopped on my wrist. I can them off and put them in the dresser drawer and they'll tick away happily keeping time. But after several days of wearing them they stop. As a young teenager my mum was always taking my watches to the jeweler only to be told there was nothing wrong with them. The jeweler said it was the copper in analogue watches and I should be alright with digital but it made no difference. A few years ago I was doing a degree and my Mum, who's a collector of watches gave me a box full to try. One of the last watches I tried kept time for 3-4 months then I was lying on bed reading one evening and checked it and it was ticking in reverse. My kids had heard about my watch problem from Mum and had a few laughs at my expense. I called them into the bedroom to see for themselves. It ran backwards for several hours after I'd taken it off, then stopped. A couple of months later, I took it out of the draw and it was ticking away again. Any explanations??? Lallymac |

| I don't have an explanation for it, but I've heard very similar things from many psychic oriented people. This seems like a common phenomenon. The theories on it tend to be that the bodies of some people have either unusual electromagnetic fields or some kind of extra strong electromagnetic field that can disturb any electronics that are near it for awhile. |

| The watches slow right down and speed up before they stop. I hate being dictated to by time and find I can slow time down when I want to. Be quite cool to be able measure the electromagnetc fields around people. Lallymac |

| Hi Lally. I'm new here but while browsing I saw so many that I wanted to comment to. My watches have never worked either. They always stop. I've never had one move backwards though of course, now I simply just do not wear watches unless one matches my outfit (thats the only reason I would need one!) Supposedly it does have to do with the energy of a person. It usually does link to an individual who is more "sensitive." You say, you are capable of slowing time? Can you elaborate on that? |

| Hi Lallymac, Count me in too ~ My wathces never lasted long before "shorting out", digital even shorter... I've not been able to wear a watch for a long time now. Another weird thing that happens to me all the time is that when walking at night, I'll walk under a lamppost and the light will go out. I'll walk the same distance away, and on it comes again. Coincidence? Reticular activating system? Energy disruption? It happens so often I just laugh. Does this happen to you too?

| Thank you for the elaboration Lally. I was waiting to see what you would say. Although I can't do that durring the day puposely, I've been known to be able to make it work durring the night. There have been multitudes of occasions I have awoken around 3:00 - 3:30am and thought to myself how I dreaded how fast the morning would come. I'll usually awake about 30-45 minutes before needing to get up and somehow be able to stretch where it seems as thought I've been able to lay in the bed an extended 2 hours before waking before the alarm clock will go off completely refreshed. I also get caught in those "time warps" a lot. I'll leave one location in my car at lets say 2:40pm, drive to another place that is about 30-45 minutes away only to look at the clock and it read 2:52 and I can't remember even driving to the place I ended up at. Oh and JJH, your story about the lamposts is familiar too however I don't cause this. My sister does. |

| Well Einstein said time is relative. Nothing strange about it

On my way home from the sportclub: Light goes off when I pass under it. I come home, realize my shoes are still there (yes, I am an idiot sometimes) go back, pass under the light, it goes on. Arrive at my sportclub, get my shoes, pass under the light and it goes off again. A normal streetlight, it's a completely dark evening and every other light is on like normal. I stopped to see if the light was simply flickering every minute or so. I stood there for half an hour, far longer than I had been away to either my home or the sportclub, but it stayed on like normal. |
