Really bad dreams of beings.

Hi everyone. I have a 2 dreams experiences I have never discussed with anyone before. I would like to get some ideas about them if anyone has any clues. I have studied dream interpretation and I've also studied the occult in my past and know about other occult theories for this. I know all about lucid nightmares too. I've heard it all before. However I find it so hard to believe these two dreams were "just dreams." Yet, that doesn't mean I'm not open to listening because believe me, I really wish I didn't believe they were real.

Dream 1 happened when I was around 28 years old.
I'm in bed and I start to float. Not my astral body, my physical body. I feel a lot of pressure on my thrid eye and feel hands on my ankles and wrists. Also on my back as if someone was holding me above the bed. I did the struggling thing to talk and see and couldn't. Then after some struggle I was able to open my eyes. In the dark but by the light of the street light outside, I saw 3 to 5 beings rush out the bedroom door. They were mubbling something about me waking up and then fled. I awoke on top of the covers.

Dream 2 happened when I was around 38 years old.
I was spending the week at my cousins. I was sleeping in her sons room. I told her I slept with a small lamp on because I often had to visit the bathroom in the middle of the night and ask her not to turn it off. I also left the door opened. Once again a street light was casting a little light on the room. I was asleep and woke to feel someone very large sitting on the side of the bed next to my leg. I couldn't move but could see it was tall and had a strange smell. It was all black and I do not remember seeing eyes.
I saw its shadow move its hands up around my neck. It began to strangle me. I fought to move. I remember thinking, this is not a lucid dream, this is real. I decided to fight. I did fight it off and made a loud sound as I jumped from the bed and grabbed a tennis racket hanging on the wall. I saw this thing back up into the darkness of a corner. Then I yelled at and it came back towards me. By this time I had woke up the dog in the house and he was barking in the other room and woke my cousin up. She and her husband came rushing through the door which was closed. Remember I left the door open and light on. When they turnned on the light it was gone. I had two finger bruises on my neck for days.
