I think my 2yr old sees spirts/ghost
 

Long story so sit down...

We moved into our new apt in mid oct of 09 everything seemed fine
give or take a fews day around halloween ... it was late dark.. i went to the bathroom my daughter fallows me but i made it in there before she was able to come in so im assuming she turned around to go back to the living to go back to where her dad is at and i hear her scream... dh calls for her but she just continued to scream so dh goes to her and he tells me she is white and is pointing to the corner of the dining room... she has to cross teh dining room to get to the living room. I get out of the she says something i dont understand her and she is pointing to the corner... ok we get her to calm down she is fine for about two days then the same thing happens again she screams and points to the same corner so i go get her... this goes on maybe for 2-2 1/2 weeks so I tell dh I think she is seeing something of course he tells me she is just doing it to get attention... i tell him i dont think its for attention i think she really sees something and its scaring her so dh tells her tell it to be nice and not to scare you anymore and to go home. after that nothing for about a week. then about mid dec im talking to my sil online and she is next to me playing in the living room she is maybe 2 feet away its only 6p and a little dark I just see her experssion change she gets closer to me and points to the dining room (not the same corner) its like something was trying to enter the living room... she screams NO BE ICE (be nice) BE ICE No Top (stop) ICE ICE... im watching her and at the same time looking in the direction she is looking and screamin too i of course dont see anything then after maybe two mins of her screaming she just waves and says hi the giggles... im just looking at her like ok what is going on but she wont leave my side. everything is fine for a few days... here is where i fnd out the lady downstairs from me had a daughter who was disabled who passed away i dont remember her again or how... so when i was talking to dh about this we both came to the conculsion that maybe its the girl and maybe her face looks different like down sydrome and thats what is scaring my daughter... well now its not only happing in the night its happening in the day where she will come to me getting my attention and pointing and looking confused and scared she has done this in every room of the house. We have been having toys go off for no reason no one is near them.. last week two things happen that scared the cr@p out of me 1. I was alone w/just my kids arguing with my oldest to go to sleep cause she had school in the morning my front door opened and it sounded like someone twisted the doorknob which i thought was my husband no one was at it... 2. the musical toy my daughter has on her crib went off a few times after 11pm and no one was in her room my daughter fell alseep on the sofa.

My daughter just turned 2yrs old in jan.

Am I imaging she is seeing things or can she actually be seeing something
and if she is seeing something how can i get rid of the spirt/ghost so she is not scared anymore?

aaww poor thing:( i hope everything will turn out fine, this must be really stressful.

You could just have some poltergeist type energy. Kids see energies and things because they are more open. Don't be afraid... easy for me to say... generate feelings of calm in your home, relaxing music, and mentally see the energy dissipate. You could give your child a soft toy and tie a story to it that says it protects her from whatever she is tuning into. Maybe she could draw a picture of what she is seeing. If it's scary you can burn it and tell her it's gone now. Something of that nature. Don't react keep calm and a good sense of humour...joke about it.

As a mother you have the responsibility to protect your child. I know I don't need to tell you that and I'm not insuating that you are not. I merely state it because whether you believe there's something coming into your house or not, your daughter does and it is scaring the s*&t out of her. As a father myself, that would be enough to galvanize me into dynamic action.

Little ones are very sensitive to things that adults have built up resistance to so I think it is very possible that your daughter is truly seeing a spirit entity. Now, whether that's a ghost or some other entity, I don't know, but you should take steps to protect your home and your family.

I don't know what kind of spiritual Path you follow, but whatever it is, you should use it now to create a safe place for yourselves.

Whatever you do to make this happen - be it prayer, ritual, or ceremony - do it from your Heart. Believe in its power and YOUR power. Call on whatever spiritual forces you believe in to aid you (Angels, Allies, Totems... whatever). Like I said, it doesn't matter HOW you do it, just so long as in your Heart, you FEEL the power you are calling on and trust in that power to protect you.

I would do this the next time you are with your daughter and she sees whatever is scaring her. Let her see YOU in YOUR power confront this thing and send it away. That will empower her as well.

See if you can help her to communicate what she is seeing. It's hard with the very little ones whose language hasn't developed much yet but there are other ways. Page through magazines and see if she can point out pictures of things that are like what she sees. See if she can draw a picture of what she sees (probably not likely at two, but you don't know until you try...) Think outside the box. Take every opportunity to show her that you believe her and that you are there to help and protect her. That will empower her too.

Let her be your guide. Watch her when she reacts to whatever it is. When she gets more scared, you get more aggressive. When she gets more aggressive, back off and let her do her thing. Protect and empower; that should be your motto and Path in this.

I like what everyone said. The most important thing out of everything said is to let her know you believe her. She needs your support. When it happens hug her and ask her what she sees (male/female) raise your hand for agreement of height. dark/light, happy/sad, disable? Emphasis on leg/arm.Then protect her. Whether it be with the suggestion of a toy that will help her or you using your spirituality to have her see you in prayer, mediation or gentle, gentle confrontation to the Spirit. (DO not be loud and harsh. That will be the worst thing to do). Instead say, "You are scaring her. Please do not show yourself to her. She cannot handle it." Something like that. The idea is to help the spirit to know they are not welcomed and that you are standing up for her.

My Son would wake up and say, last night I saw that crazy old lady again. She would traumatize him at night. He said he has seen her once every year for the last three years. (That he could remember). That week she had been there twice and once in the car when he was 4 he is now 7. I had no idea. He made mention once but I thought it was a nightmare. It's when he is about to sleep. He said she is old and ugly. she even hits him, grabs and pushes him. He said he cannot speak, which makes me think she is one of those witches who they say hold you down in your sleep. (My son says he is awake. Anyway, I was angry. My husband said it was a dream when she came one night and made a joke of it. I let him know I believed him and Every night for a week I prayed and asked God to never let her enter the house or follow him. That she was not welcomed ever again. To put angels for us at all exits and entrances of the house for now on (Hebrews 1:14). I took it very serious. Then my son needed to be empowered and he said his own prayer. I told her not to come back and I remembered something in a book or a t.v. show, I asked her to go to God. Not sure if you should do that part. It felt right for me so I said it. It has been 6 months and he is doing better. He is still afraid she will come every year of his birthday. I will renew the prayers often.

I hope this helps. Your spirituality is your empowerment. If it gets worst please find a more professional help, to which I am not sure but I will be praying for you myself.

Just wondering? have the other children seen this spirit? They may be able to help you figure this out.

this is sad and scary, I would personally move out in your situation, but I'm kindof scared of this stuff so I would have background checked a house before moving in.

we do comfort her and we do ask her what does she see and if she can point to where its at but she wont say anything.... my mom told me that one of the ladies she works with told her for me to light a white candle in the room where its happening and as im lighting it to tell it in a firm voice that this is the light to help you find your way, you are no welcome here.
but it didnt work... I personally never belived in ghost/spirts so I have no idea how to deal with this my dh never delt w/anything like this either. And everyone that i do sort of ask for advice says move yea its easier said then done its expensive to live in chicago

hmm then if you have to stay and you can't get it out by yourself get help. Most religions have some form of exorcist, I would be biased and tell you to get someone from an eastern background, simply because they are more likely to have their 3rd eye open. Or you could get a psychic, I would imagine they could manipulate spirits the same way a psychic could.

Anyway, as far as I know, you biological entities have a lot more power than astral entities in the astral realm, since our power source is probably a lot more stable. Keep that in mind when you try to banish this thing. Also try and make charms for protection around the house.

There is a phenomenon called "hypnagogic hallucination" that fits your description of what is occuring to your son very closely.

This is a harmless and not uncommon phenonmenon that happens at the edege of sleep both in falling asleep and in waking up.

It has been the scientific explanation for things such as Succubii and The Old Witch that your son described.

Some times, a Cigar is just a cigar.

That being said, I have also encountered The Old Witch during Medicine Dreams and I recognize that it is a real entity that feeds on the energy of the living.

It is possible that your son is being targeted because of his youthful vitality. I was attacked because I did not sheild myself well during a Medicine Dream and attracted her attention. She is powerful and I could not have defeated her alone. I had to call on the aid of my Protector to free myself from her grip.

If you do not accept the "scientific" explanation of Hypnagogic Hallucination, then you too should call on whatever spiritual forces you believe in to protect your son.

Well, she could be seeing things. Kids are sensitive to moods and energies, and the little one could have sensed a change in energy and actually seen something. Why not have the house thoroughly cleansed? Put a protective amulet on the child and monitor her closely till it passes over.

just a suggestion when it comes to your sons birthday are you able to do something really fun and different so there isn't any space for the old fear to settle back in. That way he will have other things to associate his birthday morning with.

It doesn't matter where you are, if a thought is supportive or caring it will help you to achieve your end. An amulet is a bit like a lucky charm. Some people believe in some symbols more than others and they have become popular. Say for e.g a crucifix on a chain. Something that has the idea of you being looked after, safe or on track. You can look on line to find what's popular. Cleansing is as simple as seeing your home free of excess negative energy and maintaining positive thoughts within and around your home. Do this every few weeks or so until you feel its effectiveness consistantly

Erin pavlina made some posts on making charms, this is where the idea of cursed and blessed objects come from. You just attach an emotion to an object and place it around the house, or on you.

Children see ghosts, spirits, guides all day long.. it's natural until we turn it off..

and if she is seeing something how can i get rid of the spirt/ghost so she is not scared anymore?

There's really nothing to be afraid of.. all those ghosts, spirits, guides are just us.. no big mystery.. some of them could be negatively charged.. but I think your daughter knows how to take care of herself better then you do :eek: :)

That is scary. He did say that once he said in his head (to her), "you're not real" and she said I am very real___, saying my son's name! It really is about your faith because she hasn't been back, which will not stop me from praying.

Cuddles, She comes within the birth year not exactly on his birthday. I have a thing for birthdays. I always try to top the one before. I will make sure they are happy memorable one's. Thanks for the tip.

2girls1boy, thanks for your patience! I have the same question you have. I thought they would have to be in the house as well to confront the spirit. Know that I personal have been praying for you and your family from the time I heard your story. How are things now and what have you been doing to alleviate your daughters anxiety from seeing the spirit?

with this kind of work, the distance doesn't mean anything. We don't need to go physically to your place to see whether there is actually something there. Most of our work is done at distance. And we could be the next door neighbours or living 10000 miles apart or even in different dimensions and still, there wouldn't be any difference.

I wouldn't like to go to philosophical discussions here, how this is possible. But, perhaps, a simple example: A psychic doesn't have to be in your physical presence to tell you what you need to know about yourself. Or: You don't have to be in someone's physical presence for your prayers to help them.

I wouldn't be offering you help if I had nothing to offer. You asked for help, I offered it because I know I can help. The choice is yours.
