? Astral Travel / Obe / Dream ?

I am not sure if astral travel / or obe / or dream, but since a young teen i know that there has been at least 5 times that I have experienced something? Oh and by the way I am now 48 so that might not be saying much lol!

The 1st I was a kid and doing dishes and all of a sudden I was kind of floating above and watching myself. I never told anyone because I knew they would think I was crazy!

The 2nd I was driving down the road and I was watching myself thru the front window of the car and wondering how in the world could I be driving safely if I wasn't even in the car?

3rd I had went thru a divorce and was living alone. For that year I went thru a "deep" inner-self time in my life. I was sitting on the couch just relaxing and I suppose mediating of sort, but then I was floating/flying thru the hallway into each of my children's rooms checking on them. It was a great feeling, almost as if I was bumping up against clouds as I went.

4th there was a hawk which I watched from my porch nearly every day, I felt a huge respect for it and it seemed it was always there. One day I was sitting there and all of a sudden I was at the tops of the trees and thinking how amazing of an experience I was having. I am not sure if I was with the hawk, or seeing thru the hawks eyes?

5th and last was a year ago or so, I remember just going out my bedroom window and into the darkness of the warm summer night to tree top level, and how calm and peaceful it felt.

I don't know how they happened or if they are just silly dreams? I did not try to make them happen, but I have tried since to make them happen but without success. I try meditation and want to, and sometimes feel as if I may be close but then just stuck at that point, then I wake up in the morning lol. I thought I was a true looney bin case until I came here! I never talked to anyone about these experiences for fear of that though. Now I would love to hear from anyone on here of their opinions of what I have said, and any opinions or advice on how to take this further.

I have written about this in various essays regarding thought-travel and conscious viewing, but the most recent "case" for myself is extremely interesting.

I had not been to Los Angeles (Where I was born and raised) for several years, yet many of my dreams where of there. I remember dreams almost every morning, so it's not difficult to catalogue them (in my mind).

Last April I went to Los Angeles and found that my dreams had been accurate in almost every aspect, regarding changes that occurred there over the years. I return every 3 months to visit my old and stroke-crippled mother, and each visit validates what my consciousness sees in dreams. In fact, I was able to gauge how fast I had to travel from one coast to the other, the points of exit from where I was sleeping, and the points of entry to where I was visiting. The topic goes right into the Speed Of Thought, and when you get to that discussion, you find thought cannot be gauged in terms of speed. Astro travel is essentially your consciousness (soul/mind) taking itself to various realities and locations. To me, its no big thing, anymore, but I understand others who have not had a lot of exposure to the topic need to learn about it. The dream realm comes closest to any description of "Heaven" because virtually everything is possible there, and there is no extreme judgements on activity. That also means that yes; deceased people can easily visit you in the dream-state/realm. In fact, we have spent more "time" in the thought universe than we ever have in human form. Once you grasp that idea, you understand much about how the multiverses operate.

We came from Thought. Embodyment has presented some with the illussion of separation from our origins. Just start 'remembering', and knowing that the things you suspect in the spiritual metaphysical realms are most likely the right direction to pursue.

Those were mostly astral projection experiences. Only thing is that while dreaming, astral projections take place and they also take place when we are not aware that they are occurring.
I would suggest meditation, and conscious efforts to astral project.

Ok so I am to take it that from my descriptions you believe that it would be "Astral Travel" right? Well I am going to add to the story that only once before this forum did I ever speak of this to anyone. I did not start the conversation, but my brother was talking about it and his experiences just out of the blue. I just listened to him for awhile and then asked him questions about what it was like, how did it feel, how did he do it? After a bit I told him of myself. He said that he could do it with will, and also that he could go where he wanted basically, and well I will just say it, he said that he seen his wife with another while he was "gone" and confronted her when she came home. She had no idea of how he knew. Okkkkk, ??? Not me so don't know and don't really wanna either. But he was exactly right, told her where she was, who, described all of the surroundings, what was said, the whole nine yards and was right. Also the description of how he said it felt when he did this was soooo exact to what I remember. I want to do this and by choice not coincidence.

And Royster, you must have me pegged pretty well, cuz you know you already answered my next question on this thread! I also will let you know that nearly every post from you sends me to google to find out more ha. But I like the way you express yourself and you make it so interesting and more realistic.

Sorry, gotta add more... How can you know that it is real and not just a dream? From you more experienced, please help with this...

Why discount what dreams are? Did someone tell you "it's JUST a dream"? Dreams are not understood by the majority of people. Begin a path of re-defining life for yourself, and you'll find "oh, that's just...." and "it's ONLY..." are statements from people who don't really know, because they've never explored or dared to re-define. As much time as we spend dreaming during the course of our lives, do you think dreaming is just entertainment? Not in MY movie!

Okkk, Wellll I believe that dreams and even without dreams that our thoughts can take us to the most inner parts of our heart, mind, and soul, and I think that our minds are only really used to the tiniest bit of what they have capability of. I believe that this is because we are "programmed" as to "see, feel, taste, touch" what is real, and that we shut down after much more than that sensory fact. I think and want to see what is not visible, even as I know that there is oxygen, I cannot see it, etc... I will figure this out!!!

It's good to see you are searching to see what is not visible as there are lots of things that are hidden. Can I recommend a site that I visit regularly? It has great articles to do with all things spiritual.
