 |  Anyone Else Hear the Sound Current?
I've heard it referred to as the sound of Om, the Holy Naad, or the Sacred Sound Current. During a meditation seminar the teacher had the group cup one hand around the back of our right ear, and then said that this sound is similar to the holy sound that we might hear during meditation. Whoa! This is exactly the sound I've been hearing for quite some time. Most noticeable before I am fully awake and definitely during meditation. I can only describe it as a hissing sound that is on the verge of an actual ringing. Does anyone have experience with this? |

Yes, frequently... but eventually I discovered it was my PC fan acting up.  During meditation though I sometimes "hear" a sound, but it doesn't necessarily feel like it's coming via my ears. It's more like I'm sensing a vibration with my whole body. |

Yes, I've felt the vibration sense through my body as well. Particularly after chanting, or sometimes even while sitting at my desk in the morning drinking some water (water seems to serve as a good conductor for the energy). But the sound is definitely an auditory sensation. It is not distracting or uncomfortable at all, but it is easier to hear in a quiet environment. Sometimes, if I focus on it, the sound gets increasingly louder until it reaches a crescendo. |
