Information, Advice needed - Indigo Child or mentally unwell?

Hi Everybody

This is my first post here and I joined this forum specifically because of this link and hopefully this isn't too longwinded.

I'm hoping someone out there may be going through or has gone through a similiar experience and could offer some advice.

This is about my sister who for the last 5 yrs has been classed as mentally unwell, she's now a beautiful 20 yr old girl who has always had the most amazing huge blue eyes but she was always what some ppl would class a little strange.

When she was a baby she would just stare into space, you couldn't snap her out of it, this continues to this day, you would wake up with her beside you sitting up and staring at you,even from a toddler, it would actually be a little scary.

The last few yrs she hasnt been well, she spks to ppl who aren't there, harmed herself purposely, she was taken to doctors and told she was a borderline schizphrenic but they havent helped at all, just put her on tablets.

She has numerous personalites, some nicer than others, one is called Jane, Jane doesn't like my sister, and another who hates my mother and brother, when this other person comes out you can actually see evil in her eyes.

The indigo part came into it a yr and a half ago, a woman actually stopped my mother in the street and said she felt my sisters energy through my mam, without even knowing my mother she told her about her daughter and wanted to meet her (she is known in the area I live) she said my sister was an indigo child, highly psychic and when we seen my sister spkg to thin air and trance like she was actually speaking with spirits and that her body can be used by bad spirits and thats whats happening, hard to believe after such a long time of listening to doctors and of her harming herself, at one point a few months ago she woke up with '' die .... die'' etched into her leg with out any memory, also a few months ago she awoke with one of the personalities '' jane and her surname'' etched into her leg, she was so distraught and did not remember any of it.

To this day she still isnt well, doctors still aren't helping and I have no idea who to turn to or ask about this as they will probably think I'm crazy.

My apologies for the long winded explanation but if anyone has any positive feedback on this that would be great, thank you.

Where does your sister live, and does she seek help herself, or are you kind of standing in for her because you feel she needs the help?

Have you talked about this to her?

I do not mean to discourage, but going behind her back could be extremely counterproductive. As in her rejecting the help she may need but doesn't want pushed on her without getting a say in it.

My sister lives with my mam, who at the moment is focused on her medication, the main purpose for me asking the question is we just found out she is pregnant and has been taken off all medication, the main one being an anti psychotic, it took about a week but she has started acting strange again, everything about her changes, her walk, her personality, even the colour of her eyes, I swear, sometimes they even glow, it can be a tad scary, if she's not in bed sleeping all day when she's like this she's on the sofa in her pyjamas just staring at theTV.

The way I see it is, she's seen as many doctors as one person can possibly see, the only time I ever actually seen her be able to deal with her condition was when this woman - a spiritual healer - gave some insight into what else may be wrong with her, at first I thought it was far fetched but too many strange and also unpleasant experiences have happened to me and my family which are just way above normal.

There was no real way of following up locally, information on this and since, we have lost contact with that woman.

The main reason I post is my sister honestly wouldn't be able to, obviously there's alot more but personal and it really would take a long time to get it down.

The first thing I would have done..was take note of this Jane and her surname...then I would try to dig up any history of someone in that area with that name.

See what comes up. Validation, may be the only way to begin to understand what is really happening. I would start there, tho.

I would not discard doctors or what they are saying at all. But at the same time, you can find somebody (doesn't have to be the same lady) with experience in para normal stuff to have a look at your sister.

As long as it doesn't conflict with what the doctors say, it should not be harmful, and maybe it can help.

these things can be a bit fuzzy. my personal understanding is that in some cases, it really is just a significant chemical imbalance that leads to these types of experiences.

and in some cases, a person is born highly sensitive, and doesn't always understand why they are having these strange experiences - which makes them very scared and it also makes loved ones afraid for them.

your sister may be a shaman or a medium. she may see spirits that are needing help. what i mean is, these experiences are not always automatically mental illness - sometimes, it may only seem like a hallucination or a delusion because the people around us are not tuned into energy in that way.

it sounds like your sister is in need of loving support. though i can't say this with certainty, as much trouble as she has seemed to have i don't think things would get worse if you relate to her as if these experiences are real. it could actually help her see it isn't really that she is just crazy - and i know how much it has helped me, to learn my uncommon experiences aren't just a matter of being crazy.

i will also say, your sis could be very sensitive to the emotional energy around her. i don't think she is an Indigo, actually. i think she is more likely a crystal. here is a useful link: The Attributes of a Crystal Child<br>

if that is the case, i do not know if it is the things she sees that others don't see which is creating discomfort for her, though perhaps that isn't true. i think, it could be more likely that the way people around her respond to this - fear from thinking she is crazy - would be more likely to create extra problems for her.

i am not saying this so you will get upset with yourself, only to provide more understanding for what things could be like for her. if this sounds right, it can help a lot to understand, first of all, she would not be able to see these things if she was not born able to handle it (though it could be that she is still remembering that she is able to handle it, some are born remembering these things perfectly but most are not). and also, if you would like to make the emotional environment more comfortable for her, one thing you can do pretty easily is to own any feelings you have in a conscious way.

for example, if you notice you are afraid for her, say out loud, "i acknowledge i am feeling fear for my sister in this moment." if you do this, it helps to make the emotional energy known and makes it less likely that she will pick it up herself.

my sense is this is more strictly spiritual than purely psychiatric, but extra understanding, loving support, relating with her as if you love her, with space to accept that she may have experiences that are unusual, should help a good bit.

and i do agree with those who are saying not to totally dismiss the Western methods of medication. there is room for both. in my own experience, i was heavily medicated and this included anti-psychotics. as i became more comfortable and accepting of my gifts, and as i learned ways to make my experiences more tolerable, i eventually ended the need for medication. but in the beginning, it helped me to not get so far out of this reality that i wouldn't come back. so i do think meds can be helpful - and i am not a doctor either.

Maybe you can teach her some shielding as well? That might help protect her against the things she sees or feels or when she just thinks she sees or feels them, it might also help her feel protected.

But again: I am not a doctor, nobody to my knowledge here is, so do NOT discard what the doctors are saying! If you can use both, great, but keep listing to her doctors!

I fully understand where you are coming from on the doctors part I was the one who argued first that she needed her meds and we are trying to find something she can stay on while pregnant, but I also know there is something more, I can see it in her, and what worries me is its solely the mental illness area being looked into which isn't helping much, we're very close and I can read her well.

I have also never been afraid when she changes, the only surprising area of the change are her eyes, when they change colour - usually to green from bright blue and sort of glow, when that happens its a serious change, it can last for days, both me and my mam can even feel when she's like this because she's like a stranger to us, no sisterly bond, no nothing, she's like a different person, but we ignore this and talk to her and rub her hair how she likes and she comes back around.

The Jane persona once stated '' you have been never been afraid of me '' to me, then she changed back to herself again, I did try and find out who she was but I couldn't get any answers, thats another long story so won't go into it.

It's more to explain about my sister and hope I'm not going crazy,so hence the feedback maybe it was hope that there's more to it but I know her, she wasn't always like this, as soon as she hit 13 this started.

This is only if you truly believe in LOA and know that you create everything in your reality.

I have performed the below for her as you are both in my reality now.

Have you tried ho'opponopo?

Essentially a famous shrink, can't remember name. Was called in to treat all these mentally ill patients in a hospital. He adopted this hawaiian technique called ho'opponopo in that he went through their personal records and did the following, by himself in a room.

1. Said I love you to each patient by photo.
2. I am sorry. To universe
3. Please forgive me. To universe, higher self.
4. Now transmute, neutralise and release. Asking higher self.
5. Thank you.

One by one each of the patients got better and left the hospital. He never even had to see them.

The essence of it being, he created these people in his life with the conditions they had and so he made peace with himself and apologised for creating these problems in these people and asked for forgiveness of his higher self and then released the problem to the ether.

This is just a suggestion and a very lateral way of thinking.

I certainly have done it for people and it works, it works for errors in thinking, limiting beliefs etc.

I just felt compelled to mention this to you and if I have it must be cause of my spirit guide and spirit guide is always correct.

Oh I only offer ho'opponopo as a tool so that you can see her return to a more functional level and have greater control over her mind and which spirits she allows in.

I firmly think she maybe an indigo, and I think sometimes Indigo children just need a little help and I hope it works.

Peace and as usual I will envision her at a more functional, happy level too.

My mom's arms are still black and blue from the way my sister hit her since Monday. My sister was never like this. The whole family put together had a hard time getting her off my mom.

Are there any side effects??

Please help.

I say I love your sister.

I am sorry for creating her that way in my reality, I ask forgiveness and say sorry to my spirit guide.

Now, I ask my spirit guide to transmute, neutralise and release the thoughts of there being anything wrong with your sister from my mind.

I see your sister as healthy, normal and functional, loving and you as a happy family.

You should practice it as you are close to her and the situation.

Hi Stacedoll. It is clear that your sister is very intuitive, but does not have control over her abilities. I am in USA, so cannot recommend anyone in your part of the world, but she needs to study with someone to get a better understanding and control with her linking with the spirit world.

Perhaps in different circumstances, John Edwards, John Holland and others like them would have been diagnosed as schizophrenic, but instead people flock to them to get messages from those who live in the spirit world, and they are called famous mediums!

If she can learn to ground herself, that is a big step. The numerous personalities, unless she has had severe emotional trauma as a young child, could well be possession by different spirits. Without being grounded and skilled, she is simply open to all of this and there are many spirit bullies who take advantage of people like your sister. If you want to, take a look at the FAQ page of Home for ways to clear the area around her. There will probably be a lot of resistance if this is possession, rather than her defense against emotional trauma.

I have a known a number of people like this and it is possible to get things under control, but it requires a lot of hard work and a therapist who understands about the spirit world as well as someone who can help with the control of the gifts... something that is hard to find.
