Weird experience today and I'm hoping maybe one of you guys might be able to help me understand if it has any meaning. So here's the story: I'm at a funeral today and I close my eyes and I get this vision of a stethoscope. The vision in my head is looks like complete darkness and the stethoscope is like a yellow silhouette. I thought this was slightly odd because I don't usually get strong visual images in my head when I close my eyes real quick. My first thought was maybe it had something to with the kid that died who's funeral I was at. A few hours passed after that and I didn't really think about it. Then I was at my girlfriend's aunts house she was babysitting. I'm sitting at the kitchen table writing in a notebook and I look up and what do I see?? Stethoscope, wrapped around the wall-mounted house phone. It felt like a twilight zone moment. My girlfriends aunt is a nurse so that's why it was in her house. Things like this don't usually happen to me and I'm not to sure what to think of it, can someone help me?

It means the past, present, and future are not disconnected. They are a flowing continuum of what we perceive as "movement". It looks like you had a momentary expansion of consciousness where you were seeing more than just the present. Lewis Carrol once said it is a poor sort of memory that only works in reverse.

The deceased person is projecting the image of the stethoscope to explain that there was sufficient medical help, that person would be alive today, This does not mean that this is a fact but that is the opinion of that person. It was shown twice because the person tried to convey that idea to others and was unsuccessful. Sensing your psychic ability, the person felt satisfied relaying that idea to you. The stethoscope is symbolic of the medical profession in the mind of the deceased person, that is why that particular symbol was used. |

| Yes and no, I was writing something for my blog and I want to be a writer, so I'd consider it significant, but the content wasn't particularly significant to my life's direction.

P.S. I've been wondering what your signature is since I started communicating with you on this forum, so would you care to share?

Then you would remain quiet, shut off your thinking and listen to sense the decease's idea. So that would give you some idea of what to do next. It is not your issue, so it is better, I feel, not to act on it, until you hear more from the deceased. | |

i did not sense this story was about the dead person feeling not enough was done medically. when i read the story, to me the stethoscope is about life, the heartbeat. funerals often have an effect of getting us to reflect on life, which is made more meaningful by the notion that it eventually seems to end/switch to a different level. and then if seeing the actual stethoscope around the phone seemed meaningful, i'm thinking maybe this is an experience that symbolizes the idea "life is calling" - to feel motivated to live your life more meaningfully or more fully than you may have in some way or in some area, to try things you wanted to try but didn't try, or to take up a new endeavor you've been thinking of that seems to be exhilarating (feeling of being alive). or if the first image had a yellow tone to it, it may mean the person who died is now experiencing 'new life' since, at least in western cultures, yellow is often a symbol of innocence (like a newbie is yellow, for example). maybe this communicates to you that we can all have an experience of 'new life' when we die. |
