Oh there are plenty of ways.

I began practising with my pets. Sending a picture command to them. It didn't take long for it to actually prove effective.

You can practice with another individual, guessing a card or color or shape that they try to send to you via an image. Eventually, you will see small advancement and know that the practice was worth the effort.

Rebecca , are you into Reiki? My own 'sending' telepathy increased noticeably when I got attuned to Reiki. It wasn't intended or expected by me, just happened.

I have always sort of had a sixth sense and harmony with all animals..naturally. Even junkyard dogs will come to me, wag tail and flop belly up for me. I think part of it is having no fear. Another part is where the doubt is eliminated. (like everyone you know confirming it with a nickname like Ellie mae...since we lose our spiritual abilities in childhood from parents and peers telling us that "it can't be done, is our imagination or we are making it up..etc.)

i have read a few books on Reiki, and I seem to be a natural healer too. I am sure that it all sort of falls in line together.

It appears in my life, that as I began to develop my healing abilities, my psychic awareness opened up. When I added forgiveness to the mix, the healing abilities came more freely, when I utilized the healing freely, the telepathic stuff amped up a few notches. It appears that when one gift is strengthened...there are others that it effects, without us even realizing it at first. Sort of like how doing stomach exercises will actually strengthen your back, or how ice on a pulse point will bring a fever or hot flash back to normal temp...etc.

A question for you Tanemon....Were you ever a caregiver by trade or for elderly or sick family member? Were you nurturing and comforting and tending to someone who was dying? I am not positive, but I feel that caregiving itself expands the healing, telepathic energies somehow. I think it has something to do with realizing that we are here for something larger than ourselves, for someone other than ourselves, and then actually DOING something along those lines...shows the Universe that this is a person that can actually do good with this power and not abuse it.

I was a volunteer for a spell, playing music in six or eight old-folks' homes. Also, I did informal (but actual) hospice work 24/7 for my partner's step-dad when he died.

Your comment about telepathy & the response of animals to you makes me think that maybe you've read some of my posts specifically about the aftermath of my first Reiki attunement.

The reason why the caregiver thing comes to mind, is that it appears that "healers" tend to seek out positions of aiding and helping others to heal in a physical sense, long before ever realizing that there is healing energy out there that can be accessed, even if we physically didn't manage to pursue that medical career we once pondered. These experiences are there to assist us in realizing that full physical healing is nothing, if there isn't someone there to help heal the soul, the mind, the heart. That is where the caregiver comes in. (not to mention...answering the call to be a caregiver when it is obvious that you are the only one going to have the time or energy to step up to do so...well, that is empathy that nudges us to commit to doing these things. I think that is why telepathy, empathy and healing all sort of interlink, in some way.)

While it seems like a totally unrelated step in the healing process...it really is more important than anything that doctors or churches can do for that individual that you were beside for that amount of time. You most likely do more for the person you cared for, than you will ever realize. (Especially in the end. If you care for a dying person, you are the one that takes their spirit to a level of comfort, released fear and also alleviate the loneliness that comes just prior to death, for so many.)

I think that we just settle for caregiving during the years that we begin to know that we are here to serve, heal and comfort...but prior to knowing how far that can be taken, or that there is something that we can do to make the difference in a "gifted" sense.

Hi Rebecca,

Just want you to know that I appreciate all you have been explaining and sharing. I am not one for telepathy, or at least I've never given it a go-at-it, but understanding where some types of power or skill stem from or how we wind up feeling a sense of urgency toward some path, is helpful.

I have always felt compelled to heal the soul, mind, and hearts of others, yet healing my own has been a struggle, but not entirely impossible. I have made such real strides in personal growth these past few months, yet I still often feel lost. I guess it just means I am on the right path and I am still ON that journey.

No matter where you end up, or where you feel compelled to go..that journey is never going to be over. When you reach struggle, it is most likely because it is time to move to the next level.

I can't remember where I read this line "A good healer can heal others. A great healer can heal themself." Anyway, it pretty much sums it up. Just keep working toward healing others, and the ability to heal yourself will fall into place naturally.

I wanted to know if I could make my telepathy more effectiv without a knowing participant to practice with... =& ..... It seems like telepathy works best for me when the person involved is a romantic interest.. =& ...

I read an ESP book a while ago n it presented a way to try out ESP by commanding a person to wear a certain outfit, which i effectively did on this boy I had a crush on at the time. And much later I came across a different book that had a section on telepathy, and I was in study hall and I put my head down and used the slight self-hypnosis of hypnogogic images, then from that state I tried to command my crush at that time to ask me a certain question, and soon after he stopped me in the hallway, n talked to me, although he didn't ask me the specific thing. And more recently, I telepathically sent a message to the guy of my interest so that he would message me, and he hadn't been talking to me in a while; and that night I was listening to the radio and there was a special part in the radio show where they play 3 songs that are connected by a theme. And this particular time it happened to be 3 songs by a band that this particular guy especially likes, and it made me think of him, and I got a message from him by the 3rd song.. =&

Well, you may not ever know for sure, when it comes to the particular instances that you described. But it sounds suggestive of telepathy, or something like it. ("promptings')

Anyway, for what it's worth, I find that telepathy for me seems to happen most often with people I know well, either someone I'm involved with romantically or a good friend.


It's funny, though. In many instances, people don't like to talk about a) a thought they just had and might have sent to you, or b) a thought they might have picked up from you. I think it's because although they may also be a person who finds the idea of telepathy interesting, they find the actual experience of it a little creepy... or sometimes they just like to keep their mental life private and not talk about it much.

Like, do you think the person may possibly get a feeling that the thought was sent to them by the person sending it to them..? I've used first person (as if I were them), or commands where that form of perspective isn't neccessary.. I try to say it really loud in my mind, and I also envision it in writing. But would they be able to, like, hear it in my mental voice..? or should I send it to them mimicking their voice in my mind...? =&

I have never really tried to send telepathy. (other than toying with my pets..from time to time, cuz I can)

When I consider things like giving commands to other people...to me this is a form of "mind control" and to me, personally it violates their privacy and free will.

That is just how it makes me feel. Do as you wish..no judgement here. Just sharing where I draw the line. This would be it. It's just not ethical. (unless it's in the bedroom..then..all bets are OFF.)

Maybe try with a soul you connect well with . I have a couple of girlfriends with whom it seems to work well. One lives closeby, the other at the other end of the world. With the one who live closeby i seem to know just before she text me that she will and what the text will say. Very cool...
