Post Strange Sleep Paralysis Experiences

Sometimes I take naps, and usually I have a few lucid dreams. Along with it sometimes I feel like I am in sleep paralysis and feel vibrations an such. I do not think the vibrations are that strange and am quite used to them.

What is strange is that I feel I can open my eyes and see things, while I am in sleep paralysis. It is a little blurry, but I can make out things in the room and I am almost certain I am not imagining at least some of the scene. It doesn't feel like a dream at all. So when I am in sleep paralysis I feel like my limbs are stuck but I feel I can move my arms and legs a little bit. So I can see parts of my rooms but I also can see my hands sometimes if I put it in front of my face. Sometimes I put my hand in front of my face and touch it to make sure that my hands are really moving and its not just an illusion. I have also seen my legs move and assumed my legs really were moving. (I sleep on my back during naps with nothing covering me) So one time I crossed my legs to see if they would be crossed when I woke up. I broke out of the sleep paralysis about 20 seconds and looked at my my legs and they were perfectly straight, which puzzled me.

My hands and legs also look somewhat ghostly when I see them from sleep paralysis. Also today I thought my roommate walked into my room while I was in sleep paralysis and I looked around for him and I saw a little ghostly figure out of the corner of my eye. (not my roomate though) During this I wasn't scared but my breathing was very intense and irregular. It feels like part of my brain is being injected with some sort of energy at a high frequency energy.

I have never astral projected in the sense that I have read other people have. What is an illusion and what is not? Am I seeing things with my astral eyes? Anyone know about what I may be seeing/experiencing?

Be sure that the room you take naps in is properly ventilated. Poor ventilation, a lack of fresh air, is one cause for sleep paralysis. If possible do some breathing exercises before you take your nap? A lack of oxygen in the body may cause sleep paralysis.
Study the paralysis condition but keep in mind that it occurs on two occasions mostly, when the astral body is just about to separate from the physical body and when the astral body is just about to be fused back into the physical body. Most of the occurrences happen when the astral body is about to fuse back into the physical system.

Sleep paralysis is the condition of the physical body when the astral body is unable to synchronize perfectly into it, so that the person involved is unable to move the physical system. It is not an evil condition and it is not usually caused by demons or bad spirits, but there might be scary experiences occurring just at the time of the paralysis and so one might gets spooked by the experience.

As soon as the astral body synchronizes properly into the physical system, the sleep paralysis comes to an end.

To get out of sleep paralysis, use the breath or try to move an arm or leg or try to speak. If one hold the breath for as long as possible, the astral body might snap in properly and the sleep paralysis will end. If you make a sound, and if someone who is on the physical side hears it, it will sound like a moaning sound. That person can touch the physical body, or shake it and that action will cause the astral body to be synchronized properly.

In some experiences, there might be confusion where you might make an astral action and mistake it for a physical action. This is because when you are awake in the physical system you are making a dual action in moving both the physical and astral systems simultaneously. But sometimes during sleep paralysis you will move only the astral body or only a part of the astral body and you might mistake it for the physical system because your mind will mis-identify that.

By constant practice and observation, you will learn how to know if the astral body moved alone or if it move in and with the physical system. It is the same thing with vision. Sometimes seeing through the astral eyes alone, one mistakes that for physical vision which occurs with both eyes interspaced.

Steady practice and acute observation is the only way to master this. There is no quick formula.

Hey, funnily I've tried the same things in sleep paralysis. One night I had like 6 or 7 sleep paralysises in a row and I tried new things every time. Once, with crossing the feet as you mentioned, and they were straight when I was free. Sometimes, with the feeling of floating up and rotating to the side, so that I'd expect to see my room, but when I opened my eyes I was back at my bed, looking down. And the most convincing of them (for me) was when I decided to turn my whole body around in sleep paralysis, the same night. Once I was in paralysis, I used my hands and got over, from lying on my stomach, to lying on my back. And it felt like I was doing it physically. So when I was sure I was lying on my back, I opened my eyes and they looked the wrong way, towards my pillow, and I was "free" again.

But sometimes I get confused as well. Especially when I DREAM that I'm astral projecting, that's annoying. But quite obvious, when I think of it

I think the only way to see something with your astral eyes (after what I've understood) is by closing your physical ones. I've never seen anything yet though, but I expect to, soon enough.

To master astral projection, a certain amount of patience is required. You need a cool attitude, and initially you have to act as if you are a student just learning something. So what you are learning is how the system astral projects. Many person take on the attitude that they are going to astral project and they are going to be controlling whatever happens, but they forget that astral projection is a natural process that happens most of the time without our deliberate effort.
There is a natural system which causes this astral projection and if you spend more time observing what it does, you will learn much faster about how to induce it and regulate it.

It is possible to see astrally with the physical eyes open, but initially it is best to just close the physical eyes. Why? Because it is hard to differentiate what is astral and what is physical in the beginning. Until you are trained or self-trained, the two perceptions will be confused. Thus the need for closing the physical eyes.
Realise however that when you see physically, you must also be looking through the astral eyes to do so. You cannot see physically without astral vision interlocked into physical eyesight. Try getting a dead body to see. And the only different between a living body and a dead one is the presence of the astral body interlocked into the physical one. If the astral energy from the astral body is totally disconnected from a physical body, we call that body a dead one.
In time, you will develop the ability to discern what is physical and what is astral. Astral body by itself sees only into the astral world. Physical body by itself sees absolutely nothing. But physical body and astral body combined sees the physical world. Astral body also sees the high end of physical existence, meaning that it can see the aura of physical objects and the magnetic electric radiance and formation of such objects.

Thanks for the responses y'all. I am going to expierement more with AP and see if that clears anything up. I would really love to fully project but as of now I have only gotten to the sleep paralysis stage. (following the Robert Monroe model)
