a little help?

so, ive been thinking that something weird has been going on ever since i heard about people who could do thinks like mess with the weather and such. every time i get really emotional about something, it always seems to get dark, even if its bright and sunny. sometimes when i dont want to do something outside, i ask for rain or wind, and it usually comes.

i thought this could all be a coincidence, until today when i was outside, and i was thinking about tornadoes and how ive never seen one. so... the sky turned black, and it got cold. like REALLY cold. i looked up, and there was a funnel cloud forming. it started spinning really fast, and for some reason i yelled "stop!" and the sky cleared and the cloud went away within 5 minutes.

is this a coincidence or should i be looking for some control help?

Why do you need control help? If what you say is true.. and I don't doubt you then you've given yourself a gift.. can't you just trust yourself enough to know?? you know how to use it and when??

also, what do you think the extents of this could be? im not sure how far experimentation would go, since i dont want to try anything like that again.

The extents can be anything you imagine.. (Ultimately your limits are for you to figure out.. if you have any) your problem with your gift is obviously fear about it.. I'd trade you in a heartbeat

I believe many people have given themselves gifts/power like this and then backed down immediately out of fear and lost their power..

I too, can control the weather. I can go on weatherbug and see a storm headed right for us, and tell it to split in half and go around me to either side, and it will.

It can be hot and muggy out and I just need AIR...and I can conjure a nice breeze by just thinking about it.

I have had horrible hail storms come thru my neighborhood, and my street or block...be the only one not damaged.

I like to allow mother nature to do what she needs to do, but when storms are coming I try to say something to the storm along the lines of "Drop your water if you will, wind if you must, but harm no people and damage no property". This seems to keep my neighborhood pretty safe, these days.

I can stop rain. I can make it rain. I can take a few moments of bright sunshine in the midst of a gloomy day, just cuz I need it for some emotional or spiritual boost.

You just have to be really careful with power like that. If you mess with the natural order of the weather, entire eco-systems can be effected in a negative way. You have to consider if you want no rain, but there is a draught..that you are causing harm to many in exchange for that sunny fun time for yourself, for one day. Like with any gift or responsibility, you have to really consider the big picture and consequences of effecting something like that. I try to stick to harmless fun..moving clouds, making a light breeze when I'm hot, slowing the rain or stopping it momentarily to get to the car..etc.

I do feel that people that do have this gift, have it for a reason. If many..or all of us that can do that, can make it rain when there is draught (like in California as we speak) we can help humanity. It is so good to see another person out there that can do this..that isn't afraid to talk about it. You really are blessed.

I like your reply very much, Codenamesmiley. Many people have powers but not everyone has the wisdom to use them with integrity. So, it was very nice to read your reply.

Talking about this, I will add a similar story:

My spiritual teacher once told me about his friend, a lady, who was a powerful healer. One day, when he visited her and was about to go home, it started pouring. And he said to her: "By the time I will get to the car, I will be drenched!" And her reply was: "Nonsense! The spirit can never get wet." (These are not the exact words, but the conversation was in this spirit).

And as soon as she said it, the rain stopped. Amazed, he went to his car. And as soon as he got inside and closed the car door, the rain started pouring down as before.

Another example of such powers is narrated for example in swami Rama's book: "Living with the Himalayan Masters". (I am not sure whether this is the correct title of the book).

In the tradition I practice, we call the "weather" The Wakia Oyate: The Cloud People or The Wankiyan - The Thunderbird. They can hear us when we talk to them. Sometimes they listen, sometimes they don't. They have a will of their own. Sometimes they choose favorites among us whom they feel a particular affinity for. Those people we call "Heyoka".

When a vision comes from the thunder beings of the West, it comes with terror like a thunder storm; but when the storm of vision has passed, the world is greener and happier; for wherever the truth of vision comes upon the world, it is like a rain. The most famous Heyoka to most people was called Tsunka Witko. You may know him as "Crazy Horse".

I once heard of a Sun Dance in which a young man learning to be a Pezuta Wichasa (Medicine Man) became bored during an Inipi Ceremony (sweat lodge). Out of this bordom, he prayed that the sky would meet the ground. Out of seemingly nowhere, a tornado appeared and began to bear down on the Dancers and the supporters. An elder Wichasa Wakan (Holy Man) stepped forward and asked the Wakia to take back their winds and thanked them for hearing the prayer of his nephew. The tornado immediately dissipated.

One thing I've learned is that we must be very careful of what we ask for. More often than not, we get it. And more often than not, we don't know what to do with it when we do get it.

Interesting you should see it that way. Why do you think you read my words in that manner? You see, I didn't say you couldn't. And I didn't say that the young man in question couldn't have either. He simply wasn't prepared for the consequences of his actions and an Elder stepped in to help mediate the situation.

The point of the story is actually two-fold: 1. that when you ask for something, be sure you know what it is you're asking for and be prepared to accept the consequences. 2. (most germain to the OP) in the Tradition I practice, it is not all that miraculous for people to be able to influence The Wakia Oyate.

Hey Sups,

I have been pondering that thought for quite some time now. On one hand, you can save humanity and help crops flourish..but then how does that effect the natural order of things on earth..in the Universe???? If ten, twenty or thousands of people with this gift actually went to California and stopped the draught and saved all those crops and people and livestock, would this effect our atmosphere in a way that would cause catastrophic results on the other side of the country, or the world or in the Universe...because the weather happened differently than the actual natural order had required?

We always have to remember, that We are visitors here on Earth. I know I wouldn't be very happy to have a stranger move into my home and change things around and start painting different colors in every room and messing up my kitchen...I feel that we are violating Mother Earth, when we decide to change the way SHE does things...because I am sure that just like me, she has her own plans for specific reasons.

I don't think it would be responsible to play God and try to save the world, because things are not always what they seem. I have had alot of good deeds blow back in my face in negative ways. Sometimes, you have to listen to the Tao and sit in your circle and let the natural order of things flow around you...with patience and tolerance.

I see lack or limitation in your statements.. I point it out as a way to help.. not as a super judgment you cannot be that way.. if it does not help I will just stop and let be

Listen to another statement I see..

Why is there consequences to anything we manifest?

If I manifest a
- butterfly.. the consequences are.. it flaps and on the other side of the world someone dies in a hurricane?
- a virus and it kills a million people the consequences are?
- a earthquake and get insurance money for my house the consequences for people dying is?

Let me break it down.. the idea of consequences means a idea of good and evil or morality.. I believe it sometimes called also duality (here) too.. but the truth is that game only exists here on earth and active in the people on earth.. from a higher perspective this game doesn't exist and not even a real system of karma holds or binds that to some kind of revenge law..

So the idea is.. even Hitler is already re-incarnated and forgiven for anything he did.. the idea is that there is no limitation or lack, nothing is lost.. maybe you get this idea, maybe you don't agree but I was just pointing out that the idea of consequences does not serve you.. I would suggest letting it go if you can

Once again, you seem to apply your own ideas to my words. I certainly didn't say that consequences are either good or bad and certainly didn't make any statements about morality. I simply stated that one should be aware of the consequences of their actions and be prepared to accept them. "Consequences" are nothing more than the results of our actions.

That being said, yes, a million people dying of a plague is a bad thing. And while I labled no specific consequence as either good or bad, I certainly believe that there are actions and consequences that strengthen and empower and actions and consequences that weaken and diminish. The former, I choose to call "good". The latter, I choose to call "bad".

Since I live my life in the best way I know how - as a Warrior, as a Healer, with Respect and Humility - I shall hold on to the idea that there are "good" deeds and "bad" deeds. I shall continue to define those for myself from moment to moment. I will continue to be a being of self-contradiction. I will continue to accept that I have responsiblity for my actions and that my actions impact the Universe in however a small and insignifcant way. I will cherish the fact that what I do has consequences not just to me, but to everyone and everything and I will strive to make that impact as empowering and strengthening as I can. Thank you for your concern about my well-being, but I believe "consequences" serve me quite well.
