Get yourself some protection. I've had mostly positive experiences with ghosts and spirits, but there was a period when I had very unsettling experiences. From that I learnt I had to protect myself and my home from negative forces. I started by using a cleansing on my home to rid it of all negative forces - especially my bedroom which housed the brunt of it. Afterwards the room was much lighter and a nice place to be in. My house and yard is protected by white light, from above it looks like a giant marquee covers the whole yard, I confirmed that only spirits who mean me good and love me can enter, those who mean me harm are excluded. One night I woke up feeling like I had to strengthen the bond, as soon as I did that I heard 2 large bangs on a neighbour's shed next to my bedroom. My house is patrolled by Angels, they walk the perimeter and have been seen on 2 occasions. All you need to do is ask them. I once walked into my bedroom, my husband was snoring on the bed and there was a man standing by my side of the bed. I gasped and he disappeared - honestly my next thought was "Thank God it was only a ghost". I know who the man is, we are related and he is my guardian spirit. |

Try meditation to develop your psychic perception and greater control over what happens on the psychic end. Take a book at my recent book on the subject: Meditation Pictorial - meditationtime | Google Groups |

In my profession, I very often have to work with people who are in a very negative state. Often, their lack of a sense of self-responsiblity or self-awareness makes it very hard for me to help them and can actually cause me to be frustrated or angry. To avoid this and continue to be effective in my work, I had to figure out how to feel compassion for someone whom I initiall felt annoyance and enmity towards. The answer for me? Puppies. Yep. Puppies. I'm a "dog person" and absolutely love dogs - puppies especially. When I think of puppies, I can't help but to feel all warm and fuzzy. I mean who CAN'T have compassion for a small, furry, big-eyed puppy?? Corny, I know, but it WORKS. All I have to do is recognize that someone is pushing my buttons (not always the easiest thing to do) and then think about puppies. Once I have that "..awwww... that's cute..." feeling, I can latch on to it and then transfer that feeling to the person I'm working with so that I can be effective in helping them. Perhaps, in your case, there is something that ALWAYS makes you feel strong and empowered when you think of it. If there is, then as soon as you feel yourself falling into Fear, conciously readjust what you are thinking about to whatever empowers you. Concentrate on that feeling and allow it to fill you up. Then go to sleep. Not only will you likely sleep better, I bet you'll have more powerful Dreams too.

Sounds familiar. I had the same "problems" including sleep paralysis, figures appearing at my bedside, feelings of presences giving me goosebumps wasnt uncommon espcially at night THEN came change My dad had a german shepard (named "Herta"), she scared away the ghosts! One evening while in a state of terror and presence of an entity, Herta mysteriously decided she wants to come lay outside, at my window. Immediatley the entity/terrorfeeling disappeared NOW WHAT?? I had to face sleep without Herta. On the day of her death we mourned bcs she was the most friendly guard dog ever!! I prayed that night to my angels to give me peceful sleep and keep these evil away from me. The evil tried to scare me for <=7 days by click/clack sounds but i decided also not to allow them to bother me. It all stopped. Evil is caused by: * When your deeply religious, you're likely to believe in ghosts and evil entities. * "Religioun" uses ghosts/demons to manipulate + control the masses. * Low self esteem, feelings of guilt, or feeling of underachievement coupled with aforementioned is feeding ground for evil! * Fear of unknown, fear of unknown people, fear of looking ppl in the eyes and thinking a better life will come..? Then you;re giving evil a foothold. HOWTO peaceful happy dreams sleep: 1. get a household pet such as a cat / dog in your room. Let it sleep with you in your bed. Its ghost hunter AND also; 2. Rid yourself of guilt, negative emotions, and dont disqualify yourself. 3. MY OPINION.. Drop religioun. 70% of religioun is manipulative nonsense. 4. Listen to Steve Pavlina's podcasts. They are absolutley INVALUABLE!! 5. Search the net for Positive Affirmations. Do the affirmations. 6. Download & listen to Zig Ziglar's podcast. Confirming what Erin said. The most effective weapon is a posetive, cheerful happy, worryfree, carefree happy-go-lucky mindset. Such attitude is guarenteed to give you dreams which u wont wanna awake from, soooo pleasent.. sometimes i can fly, soemtimes i'm in a building doing Java programming, other times i'm on visit to high mountains. Sighh... now to get Lucid My dreams are pleasent *sigh* when i awake in mornings i whish to escape back to my dreamworld. Ahh well, next night i can try again for the dreamworld Last edited by primedirective; 10-07-2009 at 10:22 PM.

Hi, I wrote an article about how I overcame my fear of spirits: Overcoming a fear of the spirit world » Extra Sensory Perception - Intuitive and Spiritual Development Blog Basically, the gist of it is that you don't fear ghosts and ghouls once you realize what they are and that they feed off your fear. Send them fear energy and they expand and you get more scared, ignore/banish the nasties and they shrink. |

Thanks a lot ......all your contributions have been very helpful, and I have to agree with everything you guys said...I have realized most of the time when I'm feeling lonely, or depressed or even slightest feeling of something negative i tend to get scared... But yes, Maxwell is also correct.....there are certain events which trigger the reaction..for example- i watched this horror film the other day....and entire night i was tortured ....the images just kept coming back. I just couldn't control them.... Anna thanks for the link.....very interesting articles.... I have to also add that I'm extremely restless...even if i sit down to meditate or maybe i close my eyes and try to think something positive it does not happen...that is an obstacle as well. |

To Primemdirective, Get a cat. They are the protectors of the darkness and night. When I meditate, if it seems as if something is distracting me or I begin to sense the shadows of no-good spirit...ironically two of three of my cats end up on my bed around me purring. I am not sure if this is a matter of them scaring something persay...but maybe they assist me in raising my vibration subconsciously or something. They seem to instinctively KNOW when their presence is necessary. Blessings, Rebecca |

Hi Sorry for the delay in posting.....I'm trying some new methods...I do them everyday....things like angel healing...and meditation.....so far things have improved, I'm able to sleep properly at night..but yes occasionally I do get scared.....I'm also focusing on feeling secure about myself and love myself better....it is helping. Maxwell What is EIT?...Is it the same as EFT?......Can you throw some light on that.. |

Whenever I try to meditate my cat always comes and lies just next to me. I like this so much!!! Although sometimes I am deep in thought (or deep in no thought..) and when all of the sudden I feel her against me it surprises me and gets me out if this state.. but that is ok. Seeing her, feeling her makes me smile and be happy, which is the purpose of meditation for me anyway

Emotion Interrupt Technique has it's roots in the Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) which has it's roots in the theory of acupuncture meridians and also emotion-organ associations. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is also based on acupuncture meridian theory and utilizing vibrations. From the little I know of EFT, it requires that the participant think of the stressful feelings, which might include remembering events that tend to bring up those stressful situations. While thinking of that, the participant taps on meridian points on the face or other parts of the body. This at least requires knowledge of where to tap. Repeating these steps in the future may be necessary for the same issue. NET requires that the participant see a practitioner versed in knowing which spinal vertebrae junctions have which nerves that go to which organs of the body. This technique also requires that the practitioner determine the original event where the particular issue was hard-wired into the participant's physical system. The practitioner uses a form of muscle testing the participant to find the original event. As the participant thinks of the original event, they are instructed as to where to place their hands on the front of the body (over organs) while the practitioner taps along the spine. This whole process is designed to neutralize the electrical patterns in the nervous system thus neutralizing the emotional spikes and upwellings. This technique is instant and so far seems to be permanent. My adapted Emotion Interrupt Technique is similar to NET in that it still requires being aware of the original event for specific issues, but it does not necessitate having knowledge of meridian points, which organs are associated to which emotions, or requiring someone else to tap along your spine. I create a mini-movie for you that represents a possible original event and then you'll focus on those images as you do the hand and body movements that I will describe to you in detail if you're interested in trying it. Basically, all it takes is starting with your left palm on top of your head and your right hand on top of your left hand. While thinking of the original event and moving your body enough to get vibrations along your spine, you'll be tracing your hand combination over the front of your body, then switching hands and doing the same tracings while thinking of the original event. It's that easy.

Don't believe in them. That will make "them" disappear. Even if you do believe, or think they might be real deep down, just suspend belief and tell yourself to stop thinking silly thoughts because its time for sleep, which is far more important! I've seen ghosts but i still dont believe. THe exact reason why is unknown, but it has something to do with having a life to live. The brain is mysterious and powerful, and i believe the answer to the paranormal lies in our subconscious etc, not in the real world. This coincides with drug experiences, which oddly enough sound similar to many "psychic" and otherwise things peolpe talk about on these forums. |
