What just happened?

I just attempted to ask for guidance from spirits in my dreams for the first time. From about 5pm to 6:40 pm I took a long nap but I kept waking up over and over. When I woke up I realized nothing is happening but I was still in that half asleep / half awake stage so I'd try to tune in more while falling back asleep.

Nothing happened other then feeling more clear minded, like I had been meditating the whole time.. but then at the end I felt really tuned in. I was tuning in to the chant of "please help me spirits" over and over in my head.

I fell asleep to this and my WHOLE BODY felt like electricity was being PUMPED through it. I felt like my hairs were all standing up. I was conscious of this but asleep.. a weird feeling. I feel like physically shaking in my bed from the electricity. I was trying to stay in this "zone" to see what would happen. But unfortunately it didn't last long and I WOKE up with a huge inhale of air while sitting up which I never do. I laid back down and thought what the hell was that? I grabbed my pen and paper and wrote down what I could remember.

While I was in that "electric phase" I saw a couple things that were confusing and obviously incomplete. I saw a room number, like a hotel room number of #109 and I heard a voice say "Around the two 9's that are around the room number 109". The next thing I remember was a piece of paper that had some stuff printed on it. The voice said something about "Racial health differences" and i saw "4x4" on the paper. It was all hard to tell since I was focusing on not waking up.

Another thing I remember, I feel like I was talking to someone (a spirit) in my mind. The electricity feeling was going NUTS in my body whenever I saw something or heard something in my dream. Then the spirit or whoever it was would stop and wait until I regained control over it and I stabilized the feeling. After the feeling was stabilized I would say "Ok, show me more" in my mind and the dream would continue as well as the electricity feeling would spike again. This happened about 3 times before I couldn't take the feeling anymore. The electricity feeling was constant, but spiked when I was being shown an image or heard it talk.

What the hell just happened to me? I've never had that feeling happen to me before. About 5 minutes after I woke up I finally got out of bed and turned the light on. All the hair on my arms and most of the hair on my legs were standing straight up from the electric feeling. I laid there and said "Thank you spirit" and had a thanking feeling in my heart for showing me this. But.. what was it?

I immediately made this post after it happened.

Haha, get used to it.

I got the electric shocks before too. It tends to happen when I visualise doing something physical with the entities I talk to, like shake their hands or give them a hug.

Yeah I get that too. Usually during a particularly vivid or lucid 'dream'.
Feels like there is someone else there with you too. You do get used to it.

But I have been told that you need to maintain good energetic boundaries with the supernatural just to be on the safe side.

I've had a similar experience lately but what struck me with your experience is seeing the number 44. Over the last two weeks, I've seen this number odly very often; telephone numbers, adresses, clocks...I wonder if there is a relation with Obama being the 44th president? Some say important events are coming and he might be the key? I saw a linguist today saying Jesus might even have named him. Who knows?

Hi Ribbles -
What you experienced was OBE 'symptoms' (bed shaking, electricity feeling, etc). And your 'symptoms' are very common (but that does not lessen the "what the heck just happened?" feeling!)

If you want to learn more about it - William Buhlman has a book "Adventures Beyond the Body". He provides 'symptoms', suggestions, ideas, and techniques in a pretty easy to understand way. I really enjoyed his book - and it hit on so many different 'symptoms' to leaving and re-entering your body - and more.
