I would like to get some input from people who have a current spirit guide that is someone (relative, friend, neighbor, etc) that they knew before that person died. I'm interested in how that person has changed and how your experiences with that person have changed.

In my experience, deceased relatives or friends are not your spirit guides. They may chime in with input but they are not "trained" so to speak to give you wise counsel.

Guides are chosen for their experience, vibration, and dedication to their task. And they are chosen before you are born, so if this relative is living while you are discarnate, how could they be your guide?

I've only done one reading that I can recall where a dead person became a guide for someone they knew in life. It's extremely rare.
