Default lost document

Hello,
My name is Abby. I have never posted in a psychic/paranormal forum before and stumbled upon this one through a google search of 'lost an item.' I am asking for assistance as I am really in need of help right now. My husband misplaced an affiavit of his birth. It is vital that we find it asap, because time is of the essence. We have gone through our entire house with a fine tooth comb and have not been able to find it.
I would really and sincerely appreciate any advice or thoughts on where anyone thinks this document would be?

thank you so, so much.
Abby

Ouch! I know how hard it is to misplace important documents like that Note that I myself have not posted in answer to any "Would a magnanimous clairvoyant forum member please find my..." because it's not my forte, but my gut is nagging me to tell you: could it have been stuck inside a book, or inside a box that looks like a book?

Could it somehow be in his office at work? That's the only thing that came to me but I'm no expert!

When you go through, turn every single page of every single document and also turn it over!

Paperclips can inadvertently catch unconnected papers behind them. (One place I worked they were banned for that very reason).

Sometimes a paper with a bit of sticky on it might catch another paper on it.

Sometimes it is just as simple as the paper flipped over and you dont recognize it.

Also, think very very carefully where else it could be - at a parents house, in a bank box somewhere?

(I had this very problem just a couple of weeks ago, turned the place upside down - the document was in a drawer at my mother's home).

Look in filing cabinet or wherever you keep car titles, marriage certificate, and legal papers. I feel that he removed it from typical location to carry on business, and chucked it in a place that the other paperwork pertaining to that mission, were flopped. Not male bashing, but Men don't think to "file" anything back in it's original location. It's why they get wives.

What were the last three reasons for him do dig out the document, and where did the papers pertaining to those reasons, end up getting chucked?

Car titles? Anything pertaining to secretry of state? Court objectives? (like custody hearing or divorce paperwork, etc.) Passport? Registering for classes? financial aid? Work insurance or retirement information?

Look in any folders that have information for whatever he needed that paper for.

Also, is there a possibility that paper would be in his parents home?

Blessings,
Rebecca

If you have a scanner or photocopier at home and havent used it in a while, check under the lid, that's another good hiding place for important documents!

you all are so great. thank you for all the suggestions. we are going to be going through our boxes of books again this evening.

he told me that the last time he saw the document, he reminded himself that it was important and then moved it to whoknowswhere! (so yeah- he absolutely had it to do something with, then neglected to complete that mission!)

we've checked the file where it should have been because of documents of the same nature, but that's not where he moved it to.

i'll also have him call his mom.

again, thank you all so much. i will keep you posted! keep the suggestions coming.

Abby

pay special attention for a red folder with gray or white print/pattern on it.

update- still looking!
I had to take a break because I was stressing out really badly. So, I took a step back and have been going through boxes with files/papers/anything, slowly and methodically.
I've gotten some great help, pointers, thoughts and suggestions. Thank you all so much!
I'll update again as the search continues!

Default update!

Still searching. More relaxed now even though we are in a time crunch.

I've also been researching alternative documentation for the affidavit, but I would still really love to find the actual document!

I'm just guessing now, but: if you have a car, could it be in the glove compartment or slipped under the seat?

IT HAS BEEN FOUND!!!!!!!!!!
where? let's just say that it never left the island. yup- my husband evidently forgot this vital document when he came to the states! No wonder i don't remember seeing it! anyway, it has been found and secured by a family member who coincidentally travelled to the states this weekend and should be in the mail as i type. woo hoo!!!!!!! i didn't even ask the details because i was so excited. all i know is that the document has been in the same place for the last 4 years. wow.

so, the second it arrives in the mail, i'll be doing a happy dance and making copies to send one where it needs to go. can you tell that I am much less right now?

thank you all so much for your thoughts and words and advice. everything is greatly, greatly appreciated.
