Santeria spells and protection against them

I do not practice Santeria, however, I do recognize and respect it as a spiritual belief system. Having said that, I have recently become aware that an aquaintance has "cast" a number of negative spells against a family member and friend. And althought I am fairly confident that nothing will come of these spells, I would still like to know it there is any way to protect or shield any negativity that may come from them. The fact that this acquaintance believes and is purposefully trying to hurt my friends and family is enough to have me a bit worried. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i do believe in spells...tho' a little frightened by the whole concept. santaria, tho' recognized as a religion..animal sacrifices and all that spell stuff creeps me out.

i am not sure how you would fight it...but it is my understanding that part of the effect of a spell or a curse has a lot to do with the power of suggestion and the person believing a curse or a spell has been put upon them.


unfortunatley from personal experience i have learned that some people that are very knowledgeable of the bible can actual use it in an evil way with ancient biblical "recipes" for spells and curses...and i basically had to use someone that was equally knowledgeable and powerful in the good way.

I also believe in the power of suggestion, which is why I'm not really afraid of consequences. But I'm extremely angry at this person for even trying. I don't know how serious she is in her practices and before now the spells were, well, ridiculous in what they were supposed to accomplish. But she has begun trying to cast sickness and death and other hurtful spells which is crossing a major boundary in my book. I would like to be able to do something to let her know this is unacceptable, and telling her or asking her to stop is just not affective. I wonder if you could give me some ideas on what to read or who to contact to learn more about this.

Have you considered pouring sugar into her gas tank?

This is what I would do: recognize that "spells" have no power to do anything unless you think they do and then remove this little child from your life and think more about what you want to do with your life instead of what other people are trying in vain to do.

I'd say it's most likely safe to ignore them and simply remove this person from your life.

However, if you have a strong belief in magic, you may wish to take a few precautions. If so, you could cast a spell for protection or find a protective charm, either from a reputable paranormal store or a friend who knows how to make one. Or you could do it yourself if you know how or are willing to learn.

If you don't think that's necessary, then just cut ties with this person, since your acquaintance seems to have little regard for you, your family, or the rights of others. I'd say not acknowledging this person anymore ought to get the point across.

yea, daffy, i only wish i had the gumption to put sugar in her tank. that would be hilarity at it's best! lol!! and i did make the decision to not only erase her from my life, but helped others do the same. I went over to my friends house, where this person was living, and helped move her stuff out. It turns out she was not only casting hurtful spells, but had also stolen a significant amount of money from my friend to pay her bills. I was truly amazed at the cajones this person had. Unfortunately, they all still have to work with her, b/c she still has the nerve to show her face, but...

I think this power is equivalent to "the evil eye" and if the receiver of the bad intention knows about them, then it gets specific because their fear magnifies the intention.

But intention has power in both directions. You can receive bad intentions but you can also block bad intentions and send good intentions.

I don't discuss my personal protections in public but I have some suggestions if you wish to PM me. They aren't specific to the energy of Santeria but I believe those energies originate from the same place regardless of the religion or belief.

Hi,

A spell needs two things to work: someone to cast it, and someone who is receptive to it.

The person who receives it becomes receptive if they believe it works and they can have no control over it. Other times it can affect them because they have some sort of receptor like extreme fear. Spells can work on an unconscious level if the receiver has poor energetic boundaries.

So in my view the best way to deal with it is to let the people know (the ones who are being targeted) and for them to consciously choose not to receive this energy - that's all it takes. Just as spells are cast using intention, any protection against spells happens through intention as well.

You can't receive negative energy from another person without allowing it, whether it's conscious or unconscious.

I don't know, as I've never met Jesus...but I'm fairly sure he wouldn't want his name attached to such a spell, which is what a prayer is. This sounds like a vengeance curse.

Anyone who sends a curse to someone is obviously a very unhappy soul. Instead of "returning the curse to them times a hundred", it might be more beneficial in a feel good way for the person being attacked to see it for what it is, take Anna conlans advice, and have compassion for such a wretch. That's what Jesus would do I think.

Spells and curses can be real , I think filling your self with white lite will work for santeria . Maby the lesser banning rit. from the golden dawn and a charged amulet . desert rat

Try a simple black cord binding ritual. Simple, but effective.
