Hi, I wanted to share an experience and talk with people who has lived this kind of feeling. Last month, I was watching a documentary about people who did a leg-lengthening surgery. There was a young man on TV a device with two metals rings and he was in so much pain. When he screamed I felt like an electric shock was going through my body. It was so intense. I never felt that intensity before. He screamed a second time and I felt the same thing again. Now it made me realize that was something I was used to but I never stopped and though about it. When I think about someone I know or me being hurt I can feel it in my body but It's never that intense. It doesn't happen everytime but I can feel it a lot. I don't know if I sense but I would love some feedback from you guys Thanks!! |

Hi Sweetmotion, I have this happen to me quite alot. There is a way to tell if you are empath, or just have a real good memory. If you have hurt the body in the area you were witnessing the injury or pain (say someone on tv) your brain will recall the pain at it's highest level that you have ever endured in that part of the body. Usually, with empath...you can feel another person's pain, even tho you weren't aware they had injured themselves. Say, I am on the phone with my mom and my feet start to ache..and I ask her if her neuropathy is bothering her, it usually is at those times. Or, I will be sitting in the doctors office waiting room and all of a sudden I feel like I have a sinus infection...sure enough I will look around and spot that one miserable sole that has puffy eyes, head tipped against the wall and breathing out of their mouth..with a look of misery on their face. If you experience both empath and the memory effect, then you can always think about it to determine which asset is at play if you give it much thought, in the future when these things happen to you. This will happen with emotions as well....if you are empath..at least they do for me. I am not aware if there is more than one type of empath. (graded as emotional or physical or whatever) Blessings to you, Rebecca |

If you feel a physical feeling in your body i would label that more clairsentient than empathic, which to me is more about feeling the emotions and mental state of someone, like knowing when they are lying or knowing if they are sad. But feeling physical pain, etc, that's clairsentience. Sometimes during readings I will feel the same physical sensation of a deceased person but it's rare for me because I don't like it (who wants to feel the pain of being shot in the head right?) and because clairsentience is not my primary modality.

Thanks Erin, I did not know that it was called clairsentience. I always just thought it was empath..feeling what others feel. (be it physically or emotionally) It is interesting to learn about the differences. Blessings, Rebecca |

Wow, yeah very interesting, Now that I recall it, I remember all through school, whenever somebody was reading out loud and they had a head cold with a stuffy nose, I never realized why, but it always made my eyes water! This didn't seem to happen to other people, and I never really questioned it, usually I hid it because I didn't want to seem like I was crying. I get more and more validation all the time that certain things in my life were just simply meant to be. It's awesome, I have Steve and Erin to thank for most of this. Haha I realized my purpose the other day. I <3 you guys so much, you probably have no clue, well.. You probably know even better than me |

About a month ago, I was waiting for my chance to make a left turn at the lights but there was a 2 car accident that was delaying things a bit. My immediate thought was that I hoped the people in the cars were ok. As I made my turn and just seconds after my thought, I felt an intense pain in my left shoulder/neck area. If you've ever had whiplash, it felt just like that. The pain went away when I reached home. This makes me feel that I experienced someone's pain from that car accident. |
