I can't believe the experience I just had. I couldn't sleep and was online when suddenly my blender in the kitchen turns on BY ITSELF!! This is an older blender to and the buttons aren't that easy to push down. I unplugged it, I was so freaked out!! This happened right about 3:15am. I started thinking how this could happen? I live alone in a one bedroom basement apartment. I have not gotten any kind of sense that it's haunted. In the past I have been in places that had entities present. I wonder if it's possible that somehow I did this? I was on a website for nurses (I'm graduating this Dec.) and reading about how the new grads are having a hard time finding work. I was feeling pretty anxious already at the time. Could I have transferred my nervous energy to the blender? I have some psychic abilities and am very intuitive and able to feel others emotions. Anyone have this kind experience? |

Funny that you mention this now! I too was wondering what the hell that is! The printer is not even connected to my computer. It's a birthday gift and I could not find a linux driver for it, so it's there but I don't use it. (I need to figure out what to do with it) I found this quite funny. |

A while ago I had a hairdryer turn on and catch fire in the middle of the night (it was plugged in at the socket but not turned on). I woke up to hissing black smoke pouring out of my hairdryer. I'd been dreaming about snakes so was really confused when I woke up and thought there was a snake in my bedroom till I turned the light on! Yes lesson to us all not to leave things plugged in. |

With how electronics are designed, sometimes they can just do this stuff. It doesn't mean there's a ghost trying to cook some food in your kitchen. If it ever turns on when it's NOT plugged in, then I'd start questioning things. |

I've had a 15year old TV unplugged kind of.. flicker or whatever. It turned on, sort of blinked and went off again in less than a second. The TV had been unplugged for about 2-3hours. My guess is its just some kind of electronic discharge happening. I seriously doubt a ghost was involved. I'd be more concerned if the blender started flying or was suddenly located unplugged under your bed when it happened. |

Oh my God, you guys are so funny! Now I feel stupid. Well I live alone in a basement apartment and the pipes and heating system makes all kinds of weird noises which is scary sometimes. And I have a touch lamp that likes to turn on by itself to so I guess my imagination got the better of me this time. |

I would class this technically as poltergeist phenomena, and would interpret it symbolically I think that the blender was reflecting your mental state and nervous energy. I would say that the blender was telling you that you were 'mixed up' - Not seeing things clearly (due to anxiety) (All of your thoughts and feelings combined together as in a blender, not knowing which was which) Last edited by Martyn13; 06-15-2009 at 07:49 PM. | |
