A friend, Robert Bruce, who is an Astral Projection Pioneer has recently written an article regarding his experience with the Afterlife.

Did he have a near death experience or is he going by what he's learned from astral projection?

His accounts and beliefs mirror my own. I agreed with everything he said and have blogged about all of it. Would love to talk to this guy in person one day.

Amazing post indeed. Covers a lot of things I already believed on (no hell, and the fact that suicides take their sufferings with them). The whole illusion part of it I didnt know, seems very interesting. I have yet to understand it in detail but it is definitely something I wanna learn more about.

I have a question, dont know if this is the place to post about it but it goes on the same line, if most of the illusions are based on what one believes, what happens to those that believe that nothing happens after you die?

Maybe they spend eternity in nothing. Or perhaps..they spend some time being treated the way they treated others during their incarnation.

I find all of it very interesting. I'd like to see or hear more from this RB fella, myself.

Wow, thanks for the thoughtful, expanding ideas regarding RB's experience of all this. This forum really is a breeding ground for growth!

The Time I spent with Robert was absolutely incredible. He is one of the most loving, kind people, I've met to date! He shared his wisdom with an honest from the heart approach, and was aware of pacing himself for the benefit and understanding of all perspectives present.

From my experience and understanding, RB has made some serious ground breaking gains in the Astral Projection / OBE world. His book, Astral Dynamics, (written 10 yrs ago, and now a revised version) is written completely from his "own personal exploration and experience." I highly recommend checking this book out. It speaks of his "mind split" theory where your spirit doesn't completely leave your body, but your consciousness actually splits, projecting different aspects of the subtle body into different dimensions. eg: Real time double, Astral body, mental body etc..
His approach is extremely practical and he goes with what works!

Robert is also well know for working with negative entities. He tells CRAZY stories of helping people around the world with all sorts of possessions and such. He takes a very practical approach to this as well. For me this makes it all alot more understandable!

As for myself, I am working towards projecting consciously out of my body and experiencing my own take on the after life and other dimension travel. I know there is so much more going on, and I am SO EXCITED to explore this existence, like never before!

The technique I'm working on is 1. getting into altered state, 2. visualizing my point of consciousness somewhere else in my house that I know very well (and have studied eg. a specific shelf on the wall and all its contents and textures) apparently this technique has helped a lot of people that got stuck with the rope not quite getting them out.
I have felt the feeling of myself raising out, but I think I sabotaged it with thinking a lot of times.....

HOWEVER, one really intriguing thing that Robert told me was that, most times, with most people, projection attempts are successful, and the exit happened, BUT we just don't remember it, because that is the challenging part: downloading the memories!

Erin, what has been your most successful exit strategy?

Lucid dream first, then wake up paralyzed, let the buzz/tingle overcome me (this is separation), then fling myself out of my body cuz stretching makes it too easy for the body to pull me back. If necessary I have to teleport my astral body out of my physical body to detach it.

Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics is an amazing piece of work. His book Energy Work is also really really good in terms of different exercises with our subtle energies. I have his Mastering Astral Projection course as well, but I haven't started it yet. It does look pretty good just from skimming through it though.

I'm happy to see some people on here discussing his work!

Also, be sure to check out Robert Monroe's work in the same subject area, his ideas seem fairly similar and his life's work on the subject seems quite expansive. (Check out the Hemi Sync stuff!)

it was very interesting because it shows that everything man says about hell is what we created for ourselves. hell is what we caused or make to be it was a very good article to read.

Ahhh, makes me feel so much better about myself.

And makes me want to astral project even more. Looks like a long road!

I think I'm going to have fun talking to people about their "hell" and why I'm not going there, despite lack of faith in their religion.
