| Can anyone recommend a good online dream dictionary or dream interpretation site? Or do you find it's better to work through your dreams on your own, using your own feelings and skills of interpretation? Thanks, Leah |

| Hi, Leah. I've found dream symbols to be so personal that dream dictionaries are a waste of time. I think a good way to study your dreams is to have a dream partner -- someone who's also excited about dreams and knows you and your history pretty well -- with whom you can recount your dreams out loud. Jot your dreams in a notebook as soon as you wake up, and have the notebook with you when you have your Dream Meetings. Sometimes just hearing yourself speak a dream can spark a memory connection or make you aware of a dream pun. Your dream partner will be able to hear and see image connections in way you aren't able -- some stuff is much easier to see in someone else than it is in your own self. another thing you can do, although it's tricky, is to ask yourself at the end of the dream while you're still dreaming what it means. |

| Here are two I use. * Dreams An Online Guide To Dream Interpretation I find them both helpful when put into the right context. |

| I too dislike dream dictionary's. They're archetypal. Speaking the dream out loud, like Angela says, is a great way to get the interpretation. The words you use to describe your dream will be key. Often when I share a dream with Steve the interpretation comes as I'm speaking it and becomes so obvious.

| Thanks for your suggestions. I think I probably need to first work on remembering my dreams more fully before I bother trying to interpret them! Sometimes the dream dictionaries can be suggestively helpful, but often it seems that one image can mean almost anything, or two sources will give conflicting definitions. Again, thanks -- I'll keep working on it! |

| Oftentimes, if I write out my dream in detail, what seemed to have come out of nowhere suddenly starts making sense, connecting to things I've recently experienced or been concerned about. Most of the time it's relatively mundane, but then there are other things that I dream about which I'm amazed were important enough to me to show up in my dreams. That's always very telling. So keeping a detailed dream journal might work. Write out everything you saw, did and felt. This will help cement it in your brain, and as you mull over it throughout the day, you'll be able to go back to your journal and make notes about what each detail meant. Also, keeping a dream journal is a great step towards improving your dream recall!
