Question Clairvoyant/-audient/-sentient

After reading Erin's post "Psychics are like Doctors", I was wondering...

If psychics all vary in their skills and tend to have strengths in different areas, can one's skills of clairvoyance/audience/sentience be tested or developed? For example, I don't feel particularly clairvoyant, but maybe I have other sense strengths that I'm not recognizing.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Lrose

Yes definitely. If you are not skilled in one area you might be more skilled in another.

There are probably books out there that do a good job of explaining the difference. One off the top of my head is Psychic Navigator by John Holland. I recall he spent a chapter discussing the different clairs and how each develop and how to tell if you have talents in that area.

Would a Psychic refer to another Psychic in the same way a doctor would refer a patient to a specialist for a disorder?

This psychic would. I don't know a lot of psychics personally, but if someone came to me and wanted like a past life reading, I might refer them to someone more qualified. I do get past life information in a reading, but only sometimes. It seems to happen only when the past life is very directly related to what's going on in the person's current life.

I agree with Erin. I am clairvoyant and happily refer clients on for confirmation or more in depth specialization like past lives.
I believe we all have latent extra sensory ability and have often said it's rather like playing the piano, we often don't know it's there until we exercise it. Some people are naturally talented and that way inclined, while others will persevere and become more skilled through practice.
I ran development classes at a local community centre for 10 yrs and people would sometimes bring their friends along to 'have a go.' Complete novices were usually amazed at how easy it is to access 'other' information in a safe environment. I've found that we usually have a dominant physical sense (seeing, hearing, feeling, knowing) as well as (taste and smell). Those dominant physical senses usually co-relate in our extra senses. So a visual person is more likely to 'see' energy/spirit more easily than say 'hear' them. I've found that once the dominant ones are activated, the others develop with time and application. I provided a space where people can comfortably/safely explore all the senses. They are like muscles that we have never learnt to use. With interest and passion we can explore as many of our other senses as we wish.
