Greetings, folks. I had the most amazing lucid dream experience the other week. I was doing intense LOA work, using a format similar to Laura Day's "The Circle" - a future journal about a future life as if it's already happened. After I wrote the "journal" I went to bed and did visualization work. I slipped into kind of a half trance state. I was VERY focused, and the visuals and feelings were coming like never before, I could FEEL the excitement of projects coming to fruition, see every part of my living space, and see and feel every aspect of my partner next to me. I could see and feel every aspect of this person including every feature about what he looked like and smelled like. I was in this space for, believe it or not, hours. I've never maintained my focus this long. What was amazing though is when I fell asleep, I continued to live in this world *in my dream* and was moving around it of free will as if living in the real world. I woke up in the middle of the night to go potty, and was *still* very focused on my intent of my future life. I ran with it, kept going with the visualization until I fell back asleep. I haven't really been able to return to that headspace, and feel as if I may have actually released the intention. But it was still quite amazing. This is the longest and most incredibly detailed and realistic work I've ever done. Even while awake I was literally lost in it, sort of like being lost in a good book. |

I've had a few lucid dreams. Interestingly two of the ones I had, were about people whom I ended up meeting in real life. They were "sexy" dreams and the person in the dream later became a boyfriend.

Wow. I've only once ever had a lucid dream and it was about 2 seconds. My dream just got too ridiculous and I started laughing in my sleep because I suddenly realised I was dreaming - then I woke up. That was nearly 15 years ago. I'd like to learn to LD, but I rarely even remember my normal dreams! |

I can take a hour long nap and dream throughout it, but it is much more difficult to recall and translate it after wards. | |

You should check out Rebecca008's (another forum member) site on lucid dreaming—it's at Discover Lucid Dreaming and Turn Your Dreams to Reality! and is really very good. I've had them before, but it had been a while, and I had one after just browsing her site. cheers, Angus |
