Do any of you have any experience with Quantum Touch? I am a Reiki II practitioner and heard about Quantum Touch through my parents, who had done the basic Quantum Touch workshop. After reading the book by Richard Gordon (available through the QT site and Amazon.com), I noticed it did definitely increase my energy and I'm more able to help the people around me (friends, family, colleagues). I'm really interested in your experiences. |

Yes I do. The first time I tried it, was on my friend who had an ectopic pregnancy and was in hospital awaiting an operation the next day. I don't know who was more surprised when the pain went from an 8 to 0 as I worked on her! She was able to get some sleep that night which she hadn't the previous few nights which she was very grateful for. I've got a bit rusty with it. When I was ill, I just couldn't get my energy up and running very strongly, but my health is improving now so I think I will start again. I'm also quite impatient so I tend to use faster methods like emotrance, EFT or nlp if I'm looking for results. However I think QT is great to do. I was playing around with a friend and we thought the reiki energy felt different to the QT energy. Reiki felt cool and gentle and QT felt hot and firey. To me reiki flows gently from my head down my arms and QT is pulled up from the ground. Have you noticed any difference between the two? |

I need to practice more with QT. When doing reiki I just let the energy flow and don't think about it. Most often I will feel a draft beneath my hands that indicates which part of the body needs the most energy. When doing QT I can feel more energy going through my hands, but I loose the sense of what part of the body needs it most. Maybe that's because I'm sometimes focusing more on the breathing than on where the energy is going. So I do notice a difference, but I don't know if that's temporary. |

Yes QT needs quite a bit of work to get going sometimes doesn't it. That's why I found it hard when I got ill, I didn't have enough puff to get it going! However once you are up and running it is easier to maintain the energy flow. For where to put your hands you can either 'chase the pain' i.e. go where the client wants you to go. Or put you hands on the initial pain and stay there until you don't feel the energy in your hands anymore. When that happens you can do the firebreathing to raise your energy again. If you then feel energy, stay there, but if you don't feel anything when you raise your energy its either time to stop the session or move your hands. Have you ever done distance work? |

Hiya! I have read the book by Richard Gordon and tried working with it. The very first time it worked really great. (I did 20 minutes of QT on someone's scoliosis and his spine got straight) But after that I started taking it seriously and thinking way too much about it, asking myself if I was "doing it right", focusing way too much on my breathing and "forcing" the energy too much, which resulted in blocks. Now I'm not able to do it anymore. I can't do Reiki so I cannot compare, but I love QT. Thanks for reminding me, I'm going to read the book again right now! Love, Rose. |

I checked out the website yesterday and I already have corrected my own posture a little and took away some other pain. I have always felt this energy, especially when i started solar gazing (I discovered something beyond the raw food diet!) but this website made sense of it all so I can use it more effectively.

Reiki can feel hot too and QT can feel cold to the person receiving it. It's different for everyone. I didin't make it clear I was meaning the sensations I had as a practitioner rather than a healer (a healer is someone who is ill and is getting better!!!! i.e. the person on the receiving end!). Also the practitioner can get one sensation (e.g. hot and sharp) and the healer can get another (e.g. cold or tingly). and yes it can be sent distance but I've not ever sent it. I've had energy sent to me from someone on another continent before and yes I could feel it. It's fantastic Oh and Rose - You have to get out of your own way!!! That goes for life as well as healing

Thanks for reminding me! It's a bit difficult to get out of my own way when I don't know where the way is. I'm re-reading the quantum touch book and doing the exercises. I'm thankful to this thread. Every time I get busy with energy healing I soooo feel like learning it.

| Yes, I have. Not so often though, but enough times to give me the feeling that it works. The most interesting experiences where during the Reiki II workshops where you learn distance healing. I sent my mom energy and later that evening found out that her cold and headache were gone for at least 4 hours. And that was on the first try :-). The energy present at places where such workshops are being held could help too, of course. What I usually receive as feedback when I do distance healing (and at this time I only do this with friends and family), is that they feel a sensation in their stomach. My girlfriend has the same reaction when I do Reiki or QT directly on her too. Most of the times Reiki or QT will help the other person to relax, which I believe is good for their body to heal themselves (I'm not healing them, they are). |

Have any of you done the SC? I am part way through the book and i see why it is called SuperCharging. In regards to Reiki; would any of you say it is "Yin " in nature. Would that be correct? Someone was explaining to me that her Reiki friend tried QT, but did not like it. The thoughts occurred to me that; Reiki is Yin, QT (basic) is Yang, and that she did not like it because Basic QT was too yang for her to work with, or that she required Yin, or related more readily to Yin energy. I had someone do Reiki on me, and i felt that difference between QT and Reiki. I am curious about it. In 2004 i started seeing a practitioner for my Scoliosis and soon attended her Interactive QT DVD workshop. In her sessions the QT was added at the tail end of her particular combination of bodywork relating to meridians, points, and movements. Something like that. Sessions were over about five months and spaced about two weeks apart. Feeling the spine with my hands after each session revealed a small amount of spinal straightening. It continued to do so over 3 days, but then started losing the gains. As i received more sessions, the gains held out better. It was like three steps forward, and two back. Two weeks between sessions was too far apart. I believe closer sessions may have yielded three steps forward and one step back type of thing. I stopped seeing the practitioner due to a new job having continuously shifting days and hours. After that the gains held out for over a year before some loss started occurring. In late 2006 i returned to practicing QT. Running energy was easier, but i was no longer feeling the automatic energy in the hands. The ease of running energy has been more of an evolution and i am much more at ease with it today. There had been doubts in the beginning and questioning if i was doing it correctly. For following was of help; Practice over time, Particularly the workshops that were condensed over the weekend ; Putting positive outcome thoughts over doubts seems to boost the energy (that is covered in the book anyway); QT forum and chat room. Weather it is QT or something else, i am now seeing the importance of raising ones vibration / energy on a regular basis. Similar to Holistic Star's experience of taking time to get up to speed when one is low, and when it is near high it doesn't take much to get there. Among other things, that is why i have i am currently in a 30 day trial with the SC 12 colour meditation. Although i have done some hands on work, most has been distant QT in a dynamic online chat environment. The feedback is really useful for making adjustments, and helps build confidence. It was common to have pain or discomfort reduced by the end of a session. It varied, but it was not unusual to have drastic reductions. There were only two people where effects were either not noticeable, or only slightly noticeable. One of them had a string of serious Long term issues for about 20 years, was quite frail and had also got busted up badly in a car accident a few years ago. I had been working on her weekly over several months. It was when i started using some SuperCharging that some observable effects started happening. The most notable were over two weeks where we heard a loud cracking from re adjustments/ alignments. No massaging, just light hands on. Gerber mentioned people having sensation in the stomach on people receiving distant QT. When i have done distant work, it has varied from person to person as to what they reported experiencing. -Once i worked on someones hips for 3 to 4 minutes, and they leveled out from having about 2 cm ( 3/4 inch) difference. It is shown in the video and talked about in the book, but when you see it for yourself, its like "did that really happen". LOL, i checked it three times. -I have done distant work on someone in front of me that was fresh from a sports injury. She was clutching at the injury. After a few minutes of silent/ hidden QT work, I asked how it was feeling. There was no answer in the baffled look on her face as if she was looking for something lost. -My mother asked me to massage her once where her whole right shoulder/ Lat section had dropped at least three finger widths. That was from doing physical activity. I "hid" the QT while massaging. I was really surprised that as i was doing semi light rubbing circles on the dropped side of her back, the whole right side just shifted upwards and it became more or less level. I was fluctuating between Basic QT, and Core Transformation breathing which i have sometimes had success with and other times not sure if i am there, or doesn't seem to be there. That has been from trying to learn it from the DVD, rather than a workshop. The most memorable experience i had was about an hour and a quarter into Chakra Charge. It is in in the back of the book, where you lie down opposite a partner, and both run energy into each others feet. Effectively having a continual loop of energy. I love it, but don't have anyone to do that with. The energy was really high after that long a time, and i sort of paused/ entered a Yin state. I did not plan it, as it just happened intuitively. It was a deep feeling state in a nothingness. I could not even see anything. It is somewhat similar to a short nap where you remain consciously aware, and coming out of it deeply rejuvenated. I was unable to stay in there for more than about a half a minute. I had to continue running energy and return to it. Did it a few times. Two things happened; I felt my pelvis actually shifting/ repositioning, and also had an intuitive sense that there was a physical transformation as if a re shaping of the pelvic/ hip bone area. I am not sure what it is called technically. It was definitely not my thinking but a strong sense about it. Last edited by alsy; 03-10-2009 at 01:19 PM.

A few days ago I came across a site when I was looking for opinions on Quantum Touch. The site is called Crap-Based Medicine: Quantum Touch « Crap-Based Medicine The post is totally crap... But I did scan through the comments as well. That made me realize again how different people think about this subject. Some people are very skeptical (attacking) and other people are attacking those people for being so skeptical. Others are sharing their experiences without attacking anyone. I've written a post about this on my blog: Quantum Touch – Are You a Skeptic or a Believer? | Everyday Improvement I like to think of myself as being open-minded, but I also think that you have to remain critical (not skeptical) about the things you do and see. Conclusion: create your own opinion instead of blindly following someone else. Let me know what you think. |
