Default A star, their must be some kind of explanation?

I really don't know what to make out of it or explain it. But I always see a small shiny star every time at night. It is always their, the only one that can be seen and it catches my attention. Even though the streets have light, mostly the other ones cannot be seen. Only that particular one.

Not sure, has anyone have any kind of explanation or something familiar.

Some stars are more bright than others. Or it could be a planet or satellite.

Or maybe it's your home...

It's probably Venus, the 'evening star' (even though it's a planet), which is quite visible at sunset and sunrise (the 'morning star'). I believe it's the brightest, visible celestial object, after the sun and moon.

I thought Sirius, the Dog Star, Alpha Canis Major was also a really bright star. The bright star I always see by the moon at night I always thought was Sirius.

Yes, I believe Sirius is the brightest star, though what we see is actually two stars (Sirius A and Sirius B). Venus varies in brightness, according to the time of year, but is normally brighter than Sirius (hence it being called the brightest celestial object).
I may be wrong though - my astronomy is rather rusty.

You can tell it's a star if it twinkles!

We have been having full moons and crescent moon. It is kind of near the moon, it sits in the same spot. It doesn't move, it seems small but shiniest one.

I'm not good with astronomy, but does each star represent something spiritual of any kind?

Pretty sure it's Venus.

Could be the international space station. That's fairly bright, and can even be seen in the day!

If you're in the US, go to Weather Underground. Type in your city and state and hit enter. Scroll down the left side. Beneath the moon phases, click on "View Full Star Chart".

Once you see the star chart, on the right uncheck all the boxes except "Planets", "Star Names", and "Skyline". Go below that and click the direction you want to look - north, south, east, west or straight up. You should be able to figure out what you're seeing from that unless it's a manmade satellite. At the bottom you can set it for any date or time. You can click on any star or planet to get scientific info.

I'm sure there are other sites where you can do the same thing for other countries.
