Flashes of white light

On several recent nights while in the pre-sleep stage, I've "seen" (eyes closed) a bright white light. One time it was diffused around the edges but rather large in my field of view, as through an opening in the clouds. The other time it was smaller and a bit more focused. Each time has lasted only a few seconds. I'm not sure if I had any control over it.

It was interesting. The frst thing that came to mind each time was that I'd never get to sleep with that thing blasting in my "eyes"...

My intuition tells me perhaps it has something to do with my spiritual progression of late - perhaps I am getting to a good place as far as my Truth is concerned.

Yeah, I saw that and had nothing to contribute at the time. I've never really "seen" anything unusual except for maybe that time my little brother landed a good one to the side of my head...

Mine didn't strobe or anything...it was exactly like the sun shining through an opening in the clouds. Or, to use the metaphor I have used in here in the past, like peeking through a hole in the gauze. I did have a brief thought that I am not walking toward that sucker, 'specially since I'd had a dream about having a heart attack the night before!

I have little to no discipline - so I can't really meditate in a traditional sense. I simply touch base with my higher self occasionally the best I can, to keep things rolling for the highest good of all. Sort of like playing kick the can with my reality; not real accurate, but it keeps going in the right general direction.

Hi all -
This is (what I call) eyelid viewing.

For me, it began (many years ago) as seeing swirls, dots, squares, circles, etc.

Then, when I took a beginner's metaphsyical class, I was handed a picture in a sealed envelope and asked to 'read' it (figure out what was it a picture of).

I looked on the inside of my eyelids and saw an eye shape, followed by the white on black zig zag of a mountain range (a photo negative picture) and 'sensed' the color of chocolate.

Then I was asked to open the picture and compare it to what I 'saw'. It was a picture of a football. Eye shaped, brown with white zig zag stitching.

Perhaps you are in the early stages of developing psychometry, reading, and/or remote viewing by using the inside of the eyelids to 'see'....

If you are asking me, I used to when I was just beginning to learn to consciously use my abilities.

Some see their guides (animal or human) - and, kind of like "Ghost Whisperer" - if the earthbound know that you can see them, they will try to visit (everyone likes to be heard - doesn't mean it's polite )

I now set up "office hours" so that I don't get swamped at nighttime.

Interesting, although in my case I think it's more of a general signal of other things going on than actually seeing a "physical" object.

Naw. I just recently resumed even remembering dreams, and I've had some dillies in the past month or so. Nothing really mystical - mostly flotsam and jetsam coming out of my subconscious, wierd scenes and circumstances, playing out of various fears and hopes.

Had few a while back which were clearly (to me) fairly important messages from my higher self or wherever you want to believe important messages come from. One of them is my current signature. \/

Its hard to describe your brain has trouble remember things that is werid to it. I remember when i was reading ACIM i used to get bright flashes almost vivid.
