There are no reiki classes offered in my area and I wondered if taking a reiki class online was as effective as taking the class in person? I am afraid that if I take a class online I will not know if I am doing the excercises correctly and I will not learn as much as I could in a classroom.

Has anyone heard of or have any feedback on this Healing Today site?Healing Today

I was thinking of taking a class from here but I would like to hear others experiences and thoughts before I make my decision.

Also, if there is anyone in the Springfield Ohio area that would like to take a reiki class, let me know. I know a teacher that would be willing to teach a class in person but I need to find a few more people that would like to take the class.

I would do all I could to make the in-person class happen. (Advertise in the free weekly paper if you have one, fliers in natural food stores, etc.) I believe in distance reiki, but not distant attunements! There is something to be said for feeling the other person's energy while they're close to you.

I can't imagine having taken my Level I reiki class without the opportunity to practice on the other students - ours was a weekend-long event, and very powerful.

They offer a reiki 1 and 2 class you can take on the same day. I wonder if that’s a good idea for me? I'm a slow learner and I guess you could say I have some doubts about the process. Kind of like believing in religion. Some trust what the preacher say's. I would always have lots of question. So would this reiki work on me? I'm not good at meditating or visualizing, will that make me a poor student? Can you fail and not get a certificate? See, here I go with my too many questions. LOL
I did do a free online distant attunements from a web site. Did not notice any thing different. Maybe I did it wrong? I guess I'll have to spent the money to see for myself if it's the real deal or not. Then, If I can do it and get some benefit from it anyone can. I'll post back about it. The good the bad and the ugly. Unless it say's some where in the fine print. if you criticize reiki you'll be cursed for life. Don't need any more bad luck, thank you. LOL good luck tboswell1216

Freddy, definately let me know how the class is. I would like to take a class in person, just to make sure I am doing it right, but I have been looking for a class that is located around me with no luck. There are a lot of links on the internet and in the phone book, but they have all been dead ends. I think that I am going to have to take the class online if I want to take it. May be we can compare notes and help each other in order to get the maxium benefit. It is still not as good as in class, but at least we could see if we are doing it right (or both doing it wrong LOL).
