Spirit translators?

Ok, here I go. If spirits don't use language to communicate, but can talk to you... I mean Erin mentioned at one point that she can talk to dead people regardless of language barriers... could you channel the other side to get translations done for you in real time?

i'm not sure about the language thing.. but someone told me once its through the use of feeling and images.. through feeling you can understand it in your language despite the language barrier.. although i have yet to encounter that fully. you just receive the message either way.. apparently language was a devolution in terms of communication with the mind with humans.

Right. Spirits don't have voice boxes or vocal chords. They send their thoughts as energies on a frequency. Learning to tune in to that is what "makes" you psychic. Sometimes I hear things word for word in my head but it takes a lot of energy on both our parts to get something across that specifically. Most of the time they show me images or I get feelings or I just know (like an instant download) and then I'm able to open the file and "read" it

I've experienced this kind of telepathic communication several times with spirits and it just seems to make sense when it happens. Many times in my dreams people will communicate with me that way as well. I'll relate the dream and realize that no words were ever spoken, but I understood what they wanted me to know.

Naw, that'd be easy to do by more mundane methods. But I do like to speak different languages. If someone was talking to you in a language you didn't know, could you maybe read them to work out what they are saying? Could someone on the other side help you speak back?

Actually... wasn't this called "speaking in tongues" or something? The ability to know languages you don't know. What about the languages I knew in past lives? It'd be great to tap into that

I want to know all the languages in the world, pretty much. It sounds like a crazy goal but every time I learn more I find a way of shortening the learning process. (e.g. "sugestopedia" learning thousands of words in a week using hypnosis). Using psychic abilities like this somehow would be the ultimate time-cutting device.

Language is a man-made convention. I don't think the other side offers lessons in languages

hey sometimes what theyre saying sounds like another language.some ive never heard before.
does that mean im not tuning in right?
yes its exhausting work.i keep asking for clarifications because i dont know that iv heard right.then images come.or after a long time after a lot of effort some sentence comes thru.

Hey Andrew, I did a search for this topic because I recently did a spontaneous experiment while I was listening in on two people speaking a foreign language. I set an intention to be able to "understand" what they were saying. They were speaking in all spanish with no recognizable words to me.

Once I set the intention, they suddenly began using half english, half spanish and also using spanish words that are easily "translat-able" into english. The long and the short if that I understood the conversation after I set my intention.

What struck me was the timing of my non-comprehension versus my comprehension of the conversation. I want to test this out with other languages and see what happens. How will it be translated for me, since many other languages aren't as easy to transfer.

The question is did they *really* start using half-english or was it translated for me, as you suggest above?

As has been said already here, spirits communicate using a variety of methods. Soft whispers in you mind, a voice that is not your own. Dreams while sleeping or day-dreams. Number and number sequences are often used as signs, coming across animals, especially your Power Animal(s) most commonly found in Native American traditions. When you hear languages that cannot be understood there are also many reasons for this as well. If the message is for you, spirits will always communicate in a way that you can understand although the message itself may seem nebulous. Images suddenly appearing in your mind are also another common means of spirit communication. It always raises a Red Flag whenever I hear whispers that are in another language or gibberish.

The messages are all around us. The more you become aware and see them, the more you will find. These signs/messages are a good way to reinforce your own intuition.

I'm reading a book by Collette Baron-Reid called "Remembering The Future"... part autobiography, part how-to manual on psychic abilities. It's pretty interesting. One part that applies here is when she relates a story about giving a reading to two Japanese ladies who didn't speak a word of English. They recorded the session, which was given in English, but later had to use a translator to be able to understand it. Incidentally, they gave excellent feedback regarding the reading, amazed at how accurate it was, etc.

From what I gather, spirits on the other side draw the vocabulary, memories, experiences, and conventions that are already present in the receiver, very rarely offering anything that doesn't already exist. It's kind of like someone giving you a box of Legos and asking you to build something. All you have to work with is what's in the box, but you can build whatever you want out of it.
