I've noticed that the dreams I remember I tend to follow a familiar pattern. Thoughts, advice, tips, and comments are appreciated I am locked in an unfamiliar place, with home very close by. I am either alone or fighting for the rest of my friends. And what I am always fighting against is vampires. I have no real fascination with vampires, never saw twilight, don't really care much about vampires, yet I constantly dream about them. A while back I was playing around with altered states (going out of body). As I went out of body earlier this year, right when I felt I was getting good seperation, I felt a prescense and then a chunk bitten out of my head. I came back really startled and had a headache in that spot for multiple days. The bite wasn't fangs, it was a normal human bite but slightly larger. A while later in August I was lucid dreaming (fairly aware of my dream) and I had a more dreamy version. I was headed home and I got sidetracked and chased by this bat creature with glowing red eyes, I got lost in my neighbors house, let out a cry for help, the bat picked it up and chomped me. The same spot. same bite. Same headache/twinge for multiple days. Today I had a dream where I was trapped in a mall. A bunch of us were being held hostage and I was looking for escape, first I tried bribing my way out, (they had guns) then once I was alone with the ones without guns I beat them up, I tried to get through windows..they were plastic, and eventually there were vampires after me.. Strange ones, I believe I broke Warner Brothers copyrights I remember a Wile E Coyote vampire. These vampires I was basically dismissing, tossing aside etc. Eventually they summoned "a sorceress" in the form of Hillary Clinton...lol..I busted out a small window and sent tweetie bird for help, I woke up. I'm just curious if vampires have a specific meaning in dream analysis, or if there is a reality I need to understand astrally. Everytime I get my head chomped I tend to forget my dreams for 4-5 months, and now that I am remembering them again...and there are vampires.. I want to solve the puzzle while I have some lucidity. Haha.. Ps. I often call my city a giant mall, feel trapped here, and want to rescue my friends and move all of us to california. Perhaps I should move Last edited by RRR; 12-18-2008 at 10:17 PM. |

In a symbolic sense, vampirism means that something around you or in your life is sucking away or draining your energy. In your case, I think that could be society / social constraints in general, or your family situation. In a more literal sense, (and especially regarding the bite sensation you mentioned,) there are probably real entities that could embody these feelings. |

My scatterbrain analysis atm: The mall = my hometown. The hostages = my friends. The original terrorists = entrapment within society, past experienced authority figures. The vampires = negative people in my life, as well negative role models, negative behaviors (tv watching?). Tweetie bird = the small part of me able to escape, childlike. Hillary Clinton = the spooky sorceress the vampires wield to scare me away from the liberal west. ( a spooky place indeed for my budding anarchism and hatred of taxation) My character = a bundle of neurosis The previous head biting incidents.. Probably the excessive fear from the vampire dreams brought some meanies around me. Not sure why I got bit in the same spot, not sure why it had the same twinge..Could just be I had a minor stroke which triggered vampire dreams..but nah. Actually I used to have a lot of nightmares when I was younger.. hmm. I need to up my dream game, get some good battle gear and some courage. Last edited by RRR; 12-19-2008 at 04:46 AM. |

I used to dream about vampires all the time. I also used to live an out of control life, one where everyone seemed to put me in a bad place. I took a dreams interpretation class (I was in college during this time), but it was Jungian interpretation class. It had an emphasis on figuring out what your dreams mean to you, and warned against looking into "traditional" symbolic meanings. Ironically, I came up with the idea that people in my life were sucking the life out of me, literally. I also learned that dreams are a part of ourselves that tell us about something we might not be paying attention to. I no longer dream of vampires, but also no longer live an out of control life where I give the people around me too much power over me. Maybe I figured something out...hope that helps.

I once had a vampire/mall dream. I was trying to find my way out of a shopping mall and when finally out in the carpark found there were vampires out there. I was with my son and we were trying to get away from them. They got hold of my son and were pulling him into a very large pothole cave. I was trying to pull him back, that's when I woke up. I was so agitated that I needed to check on my son. I found him asleep but very restless and scratching himself, I noticed he had insect bites all over his stomach. I dreamt of vampires attacking him while he was actually being attacked by bloodsucking insects. | |

RRR, I find Dan's response to be in coordinance with what I know about you as a person. My guess is that Dan has very good intuition or highly keen dream interpretation skills. Society, family, constraints---for sure. These things certainly affect your vibrational state, which being that you are in tune with your vibrations, it is natural that these factors (stimuli) are affecting your dreams. As Borges said of Coleridge, "we do not fear the sphinx because it appears in our dreams, the sphinx is a representation of the horrors we face." (something like that at least--i don't have the quote handy). Accurate dream interpretation must be subjective. It means whatever you decide--maybe nothing, maybe everything. I recommend kicking the snot out of the vampire next time. Other parts of your dream seem like a desire to reconnect with childhood. This reminds me of Carl Jung. Late in his life he went to great lengths to reconnect with a "child-like" state of mind. He played with toys (building blocks) from his childhood. He dismissed empericism. As far as Hilary Clinton and your other modern references go, that may have been where Dan's response was rooted. There is a conscious level of social attentiveness being displayed in your dream. The mall, televsion programming (warner brothers childhood cartoons), and hilary---all are social. Society is a Vampire Sucking and sucking They eat They eat They eat It's normal, you know? This is perfectly normal. The strongest survive. This is an information age. yada, yada, yada, civilization is destroying itself and it seems perfectly natural. |

I would tell a doctor that you wake up in your sleep with the sensation of havin been bitten in your head. There may be a medical problem that your guides are trying to warn you about. (As a survivor of a brain avm and aneurysm, this comes to mind for me...better to be safe than sorry.) I would see if the doctor will send you for a head ct just in case..(if you are lucky enough to have the insurance to do so.) Pain is the body's way of telling you something is wrong. Sometimes if you are feeling pain or any sensation in your sleep, your mind could give you a dream to rationalize the sensation. (I have rolled over on my arm and dreamt it was removed when it was really just asleep and I couldn't feel it there.) You should consider the scientific approach to this. It may be a lifesaver. Brightest Blessings and Wishes of good health to you, Rebecca |
