strange experience

Earlier this year I had issues with a particular spot in my house. The area was mostly in the top left corner of my bedroom. I constantly felt uncomfortable- like I was being watched. I would feel afraid to move from my bed in the night, and had trouble falling asleep.

I went away to college and have not experienced anything like this while away. Now I am back home on break, and the feeling has started again. My father also has had an experience in our home- he has heard a young girl calling for our dog from the downstairs area (where I sleep), and yet I am not home. He has also seen something shadow-like move in our kitchen in the reflection of the stainless steel refridgerator door.

I have chosen to not pay attention to the discomfort in my room. I spoke aloud a few months back, that whatever is there can stay there as long as we can coexist with no fear. The feeling went away for awhile. Recently, it has come back. I was watching tv in my room last night and I was toasty warm, and suddenly I was chilly and had to get under my blankets. I felt tingly, like something was brushing my hair and touching my arm. When I left my room to get a drink of water, I felt like I was being followed.

Any advice on what this could be (my house was built brand-new 18 years ago, and most things in the house are new) would be appreciated!

You can try burning white sage in all the corners of the room.
Ringing a bell in the corners might help.

I had a few psychic attacks a few years ago, i put sea salt in a clear glass bowl under my bed and would throw the salt out weekly.

i know of a similar story with a friend of mine in india. Her story was very frightening, as this spirit finally got physical with her. she had to have an exorcism. still gives me the chills when i think about her story.

anyways, i hope you find a solution and i hope that this spirit is one of a good nature.

Is it really that bad being followed or watched?? from my thought process were all watched, were all followed.. there's no such thing as privacy and while we like to pretend it exists, it doesn't from a broader perspective..

I think you believe that it's possible for something external to enter your environment and bother you.. because you believe/allow that you are having a manifestation of this kind.. one thing you can do is move it from describing it as a negative experience to moving it to neutral or positive..

Could you not think of this thing you describe as being a guardian angel, a old friend or someone there to teach you something?

If you believe it exists and is negative then maybe the only way to get rid of it if you can't change these beliefs.. is to take the path of least resistance so listen to what moonlily or some wika people say or consult a medium/tarot reader and find a spell/enchantment that allows you to believe you've moved on and this is not what you want..

i sense them too earlier on i wud engage with them..as in go deep and interact with them find out what they were doing in my space etc. but it seemed like a never ending stream of people knocking on your door.one after the other.
in a session with my therapist my subconscious replied that ive got 107 or so ent attachments!!!!!!!!!!!
but someone pointed out that they are not necessarily attachments they see you as someone who can help so they hang around in the hope wait for you.
uh then i started strictly rationing i would anounce 5 only today! and no more because i was getting whoopie in the head
someone went on ahead and gave a name to the gift "youre a medium honey"
strangely i was okay with it but only if it din manifest in the physical.

well im still on the run because my own life was getting nowhere.so i decided im going to stand here on solid ground and take care of my life first.
but they still come n i talk only when im feeling safe like with my partner who is a closet psychic himself.when with him i feel safe.he gives me courage.n i can handle everything in no time.
i sense em.and mentally say-i see you but no not yet.you know im busy with my life.

Hi Cicida,

The first thing I would like to advise you would be NOT to be scared of this experience, you dont need to get all nervous to get your space cleaned. Moonlilly's advise just had such a positive effect on me that i'm planning to do it just for protection anyways. I think you should try it too.

Anyways, getting to the main thing, DONT get into a power struggle with the spirit. You dont need to drive it away, any negative manifestation outside our soul always has its corresponding hole in our own aura, check yourself, see whats scaring you about your house or maybe some thing or some one else? Face your fear expand it and then make it miniscule, so tiny it doesnt even matter. (desensitization)

Dont give the entity any energy in the form of fear or anxeity or for that matter any emotion. What would be better would be to make the whole experience NEUTRAL, as opposed to POSITIVE which might be a little difficult since youve already made it into negative, turn it into a neutral first. You took a step towards it when u had announced the co existance and things did get better!

Try to find out whats really bothering you, once one is at peace with themself nothing can touch you.

P.S. when this started, earlier this year as you said, did some thing else also happen befoe or at the same time? which effected you? think about it.

I don't know a lot about the paranormal but my bf is into it big time. I would think that because it was a new home that no spirits would be lingering there. I do remember seeing in documentaries how high EMF readings in a room can cause a fear cage scenario that can contribute to feelings of being watched as well as paranoia. Are there any wires, cables or pipes running through that part of the house? It may be worth looking into although this wouldn't explain the voice(s) that your father is hearing calling the dog. That's just creepy.

thank you everyone for all the interesting responses. i have heard about energy feeding before, and if this is some manifestation, then i should try my best to not feel afraid or anxious. (easier said than done when weird sensations occur!) i do not think it is a negative source, so to say i don't feel threatened, but perhaps it is just misunderstood or michevous?

in response to the idea that it could be a guardian angel or something there to teach me- how can this be determined? what has this manifestation tried to teach, or how could i know this?

and yes, there are wires and cables that run through my room. i have a tv, game system, and a computer in here. how does that relate to what was being talked about with the EMF (?) energies? curious!

also, if there is some sort of manifestation, how could it have come about? why am i the one who feels it the most? i've never seen anything, only had feelings in certain places in the house.

I do think it has some sort of a connection to you, though not entirely to you, i deduced that from when you said you left your house for college (?) it didnt follow you there, but it stayed in YOUR room. Also the experiences your dad had were about you calling the dog right? so it definately has some thing to do with you AND the House, maybe a relationship? you been staying in this house for 18 years? or the house is 18 years old and you guys moved recently? Also I asked before did some thing notable happen before or at the same time when u started having this feeling of a presence in your room in your life or the specific House or maybe even in your room?

i have been living in the house my entire life (18, almost 19 years). i can't recall any type of notable experience that may have sparked this. i have felt uncomfortable in my room for years, but i took it as me having an overactive imagination when i was younger.

the peak of the discomfort and sensation began this past summer before i left for college. i couldn't sleep two nights in a row.
i feel that recently, due to some advice, i made a truce to make the situation neutral with the manifestation. when i would start to become anxious or a little afraid when i felt it around, i would think over and over in my head 'it's an old friend, a guardian angel' to calm my nerves. the past couple of nights, after i have once again acknowledged "something" in my room and parts of my house, i have felt a full-body tingling sensation when i relax.

again, if this is in fact "something" then why am i sensitive to it? why can't i see it, but only feel it? what is the tingling sensation? how could this have come about?

Well this happenned in my brand new constructed house on fresh land within 2 months of when i shited into it. If you see what I see in the picture, you would have been just as freaked as i had been. Well some how i had noticed what it was a long time after it had appeared. since it was a vertical portrait in a horizontal form, so usually one wouldnt notice it. Well Some how things took me to a hypnotherapist (Dr Hans Tandem) and he did a past life and spirit release therapy with me and all the weird things that were happenning with me suddenly stopped and my life truly took a life of its own...

I would suggest you see a hypnotherapist as well.
