Curious if protector guide spoke to me tonight

I was driving on the interstate tonight, changing from one highway to another. I was deep in thought on an unfamiliar highway segment. I was going quite fast as I entered the ramp that was making a 90 degree turn. As I starting going up the ramp, my car started to slide a few degrees sideways instead of going straight. I was going probably 50-60 miles per hour at that point, and had walls on both side of me. As my car started to slide, I was therefore losing control of my car and about to crash into one of the walls surrounding me.

Immediately, my mind became super focused and super calm and one very loud and very clear thought took completely over me, drowning everything else. It was "Look where you want to go". So with that thought very loud and clear in my mind, I kept my eyes focused on exactly where I wanted my car to go. My car then started sliding the opposite direction and then finally slide toward the middle and caught back traction and I regained control of the car and drove on. This whole thing probably lasted just 2-5 seconds.

Afterward, I felt I had had a brush with a serious accident, if not death. I soon afterward thought that maybe this protector guide had sent that very loud, and clear thought to me about looking ahead. I had read a good number of years ago about how race car drivers use that when their car starts sliding. Instead of looking at the wall, or panicking/hitting the breaks, when t heir car starts to slide, they instead keep their eyes focused on exactly where they want to go. I had read that was the key to getting the car to stop sliding.

So, afterward, I sent thanks to that protector guide for sending that very loud thought to me as it was exactly what I needed to be thinking. But I dunno for sure if the protector guide did send me that thought so I thought I'd post about my experience and see what others may say about it.

Seeker it is interesting that you remember reading that years ago. Was it that knowledge stored in you subconscious rising up to help or did a guide step in and help you retrieve it? Good questions- maybe a little of both factored in!

I live in a winter-intense area of the country and I've always driven into the slide. Steer toward where your car is sliding not the opposite direction or you'll spin-out. That has worked for me.
