Deceased Loved Ones In Dreams...Real?

I had a dream last night, I wasn't lucid, but it makes me wonder...

Since my grandpa has died, I've had 3 distinct dreams about him, all non-lucid. I met with a psychic medium last month who said my grandpa has been to see me 2 times in my dreams. (Which was true at the time, because the 3rd dream just happened last night.)

In the dream, my grandpa said that he doesn't become "real" in my dreams very often because it takes too much energy.

What do you think of that statement? Do you think I was just dreaming a memory, or that he really was there, and that it does take a lot of energy from a spirit to show up in someone's dreams?

I would like to believe it, and the next time I become lucid, I would like to find him in my dreams.

He was really there. It is true that it takes effort and ability for a spirit to get into someone's dream.

I've had visitations from loved ones in my dreams. In the dream I knew they were deceased and they knew they were too. I can understand about the energy because I felt intense warmth coming off the person involved in one dream, I was thinking it was funny because I had believed that a spirit brings cold not warmth. Some of the dreams were confirmed by real life happenings such as a loved one telling me they were expecting someone - their daughter passed that night or a friend telling me he was going away - he passed that night, I wasn't told til 2 days later.

I've experienced this a few times. Once it was my grandfather who passed when my father was only 11 years old. I was definately surprised by that. I gradually keep finding out that he and I had a lot in common. He was a musician, like me. I play guitar mostly but I want to play start playing the cello as soon as I can buy one. I found out that he played viola. Strange, beautiful dream. I like getting visited.

I've experienced it and it was so unlike any other dreams I had with them that I woke right up knowing they had been there and feeling FANTASTIC. I always felt warmth, not coolness too. It's such a blessing, but so hard to make it happen, it just came when I didn't expect it, but I'll never forget it.

It takes energy for them to visit as we are on a different vibrational level than them. Ours is much lower, even though in dream state our vibration rises.
My grandmother came to me in a dream just after she passed telling me, make sure you get the kiwi brooch, she was really insistant. I asked her sister does she know of nan having such a peice of jewellery. which she didn't. 2 weeks later my uncle brought over a few boxes of nans belongings for me, hidden, under everything else in the jewellery box was......yep a kiwi brooch, exactly the same as I saw in my dream.
I still feel very humbled that I was lucky enough to have someone so special visit me.

It was likely the actual person. Since we "are" energy beings, what visited you in your dream was, in fact, the person you knew in this experience. At least mostly.

I also want to add that ever since he passed away I have to sleep with some sort of light on

and sometimes I feel like someone is sitting on the end of my bed and I wake up startled

immediately after his death I slept with the door open which I never used to do I always liked a very dark quiet room
