My Guides and Benefactor, those who have died and crossed over, those who have died and NOT crossed over, I visit those that are still in this experience that give me permission to do so...

Time is irrelevent in these situations. What I experience as a few days/weeks in a Journey may be but a few seconds in this experience.

Firstly, it's not an "awakening" it's a transition from one experience to another. I am actually completely aware of my physical form at all times. I can feel and experience both my spiritual self as well as my tonal self simultaneously. The transition has never been "difficult" though there have been a couple of times when I did not really want to come back and needed to have someone help me back. Kinda like when you're tired or not feeling well, but know you need to go work out? So you say to your work-out buddy, "Hey, I really need some motivation. Do we REALLY need to work out today?" and they say, "Yes. Now get your ass off the couch and let's go!" Yeah.. like that.

Dreaming is different than Journeying, though moving from one state to another is pretty common, I've never done it.

Again, a very different experience and practice. Lucid dreaming is not ALWAYS Dreaming. And Dreaming is not always Journeying. So the question is a little hard to answer because you are mixing the experiences.

Yes and yes. When I Journey, I communicate with other entities in the same way you or I would if we sat down over a cup of Tea.

None for me. I simply set the intention to Journey, connect with my Guides and Benefactor and go where I need to go.

Yes they are absoltuely real and I don't bother refuting others who don't agree. It's a waste of my time and energy.

It's like juggling or riding a bike; it takes a while to learn, but once you do, you can do it without thinking about it and even if you don't do it for a while, you never forget how.

I've been able to gte a much clearer sense of my Path and what I'm supposed to be doing with my Life. It's like having tech support on Speed dial. If I have an issue I'm struggling with, I press *Journey and I get the help I need to resolve the issue.

matino, this stuff is really fascinating for people like me who haven't projected yet, I'm making progress though. I'm wondering when you are out of body can you still do things like play guitar or music that you can do in body? Like If I wanted to play some really nice instruments and get lessons from entities etc. to help learn to express myself, does that sound feasible? If I were to learn something out of body say a song, would I remember the correct notes when I woke up? I know I'm getting ahead of myself but it would be cool to hear some opinions and experiences, id freakin love to jam out with some entities who really know music

exploring, trying to make sense of everything, trying to stay out of body for as long as i can before slipping back to sleep

Where do you travel?
i have no idea haha, deserts, giant shopping malls, space ships, flying around the atmosphere, i once climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge as well

Who or what do you communicate with?
i haven't really been able to communicate with anyone yet,

Are your experiences brief or long lasting?
my first experience which was completely spontaneous before i knew what astral projection was lasted for hours and hours, now i'm trying to learn it can last anywhere between 10 seconds and and an hour

What confuses you?
everything

What is clear and understandable?
that it is incredibly real and completely undeniably different to dreams and lucid dreams

What happens when you return to your body?
i slip back into my body, try really hard to remember what happened and write it down, sometimes im lazy and tired and just fall asleep

Do you have smoothe awakenings or difficult ones?
they are pretty smooth

Do you slip into a dream state?
yes i do, i have trouble staying in the astral realm

Do you fall asleep and wake up in the morning?
yeap

Do you ever hear voices? Can you understand them?
i remember the first time i ever projected i could hear an alien language that at the time i could understand but i don't remember much more. i haven't heard any after that.

What other type of Altered States of Consciousness precede or follow an OBE?
deep meditative state preceedes, one time i was sucked out of a dream by a green wormhole, the first tiem i ever projected i travelled much farther than any time since, from reading a tonne of books after the incident i believe i entered even higher realms than the astral

absolutely real, i only talk to about it with close friends and open minded individuals, not worth wasting my time on anyone else

my first spontaneous projection was in march this year, it has changed my understanding reality and the universe, that is, i understand much less than i did before! it hasn't changed my life but it has made me much less afraid of death, its something i will spend my entire lifetime trying to master

What you ask about practicing music in the astral state seems more like something you might try during lucid dreaming to me. Although, anything is possible. Robert Munroe had some musical experiences while projecting, but he never described playing an instrument.

I have about 1-3 lucid dreams in a good week now, and I don't think I'm ever really THAT lucid to actually recall notes etc. I find it's like having a different mind when you are asleep... The Ancestors will often Gift you songs if that is what you seek. Some of the most sacred songs have been Gifted through Journeying. Seeking a song from the Ancestors is often a large part of the Hanbleca or "the Vision Quest".

I would enjoy getting the chance to leave my body but there have been so many different views that have scared me in a way becasue I don't know what to expect when I leave my body. If I leave, would I return safely back into my body without having to fight demons and evil spirits?

You will be safe. Don't expect to experience exactly what someone else did. Fear of the unknown will be your biggest obstacle. Rid yourself of all fear, including death. Expectations will paint your experience, so try to get rid of those too. Be open, willing to learn and experience. Accept the unknown and plunge into it. It's likely that your early OBE's wont take you far from your body--encountering spirits probably will not occur until you've had a little practice. I recommend that you read some books, if you haven't already. Search "Astral projection" or "Out of Body" and you will find lots of stuff. Read as much as you can.

You are so right, the only way to understand what I'm getting myself into is by reading. I've been telling myself before going to bed to get myself out of my body but to no avai,l anyway, it has only been a couple of days. I've been trying to gain some more insight into the unknown because I have come to the conclusion that there is more to life than what meets the eye.
