Can psychics see physical person of forum posters?

I doubt it. I'd be weary of online psychics from ebay who just do email readings.

I tested 3 of them, and all gave me information about myself that is easily found on google.com

Ebay/Paypal gives them your real information (name, address, digits) so they can search about you as they type up a report.

Read through my articles on psychic information on my blog for answers to that type of question. Psychics can't read minds or tell you how many fingers you have behind your back. We can't tell you what you had for breakfast, and why would you need to know anyway?

As Daj said though, be wary of the psychics you're using. I would avoid any sort of hotline. I was talking to a psychic once who said he did 50-80 readings PER DAY on a pay by the minute hotline. And he also said he was once on the phone for 8 hours with one client. For God's sake!! 30-60 minutes is enough! Even 10-15 minutes will hit the highlights. Find a reputable psychic.

One of the golden rules with psychic information is that the psychic only gets the info they need to heal or help someone. For example, if you're a medium, you see the appearance of a dead person only so that their relative who's having the reading knows it's really them.

Because of that psychics don't normally get gratuitous insights about your physical appearance from just replying to a forum post (unless their psychic abilities are switched on all the time and they don't know how to switch them off/ use them wisely.)

I've often wondered what information a psychic can have about a person they are doing a reading for. I mean, do they get an image of that person's face for example.

One thing that has always concerned me is that a psychic can have access to information about me that I would not wish any person to know. i.e, some of my darkest, deepest thoughts and opinions that I even try to hide from myself because I know them to be totally wrong. I mean, how deep can a psychic go into a person? indeed, how much of me do my spirit guides know and are prepared to pass on to another living human being?

Once I'm connected with a person's guides it can get pretty deep. Sometimes the guides will make me aware of sexual abuse as a child, or that a person is engaging in toxic behaviors that are affecting their health, etc. But I can only access that info once my sitter gives me permission to access it. But it's true, once you give me access, you're opening yourself like a book.

it's the job and responsibility of a psychic to be sensitive to that information, compassionate, kind and non-judgmental. Even when I've spoken to sitters who are cheating on their spouses or otherwise engaging in poor social behaviors I don't judge. I am honored to be there to guide and help. I know there are sensitive issues. That's why I wrote in my blog entry, "But where's the love?" that a psychic must care about people and be compassionate in order to gain access to this information.

That said, not all my readings go into that kind of depth. The guides tell me just enough to get the person's life on track. Sometimes the readings are light and amusing for us both and we're laughing throughout the reading. All depends on the person and the situation.

Thanks Erin. That's a relief! Even though my deepest, darkest thoughts are not really that bad in the global scheme of things. Just a few thoughts that would make a good, gory horror novel if I ever get to write them down and perhaps an odd, naughty thought about someone who has annoyed me but that's about it really. It is reassuring to know that any reputable psychic won't judge a person on what they find in a reading.

mind you, I did once have somebody look at me in horror as I was thinking evil thoughts about what I could do to someone who had pissed me off earlier in that day. I did wonder if she was reading my mind!

In that case, if someone asks me for a reading online, what would be the best way to connect? Should I connect with the person's spirit guides, angels, and higher selves, or should I just ask my spirit guide to retrieve the info?

I used to do email readings but I asked people to send me a head shot of themselves so I had something to tune in on. I need a voice or a face in order to do a reading. I always tune in to their spirit guides. Sometimes angels will pop in (usually when the person is having an emotional crisis, like a really really serious one, life threatening) and sometimes HS pops in too, but more for support than information.

What is your primary modality? Clairvoyant, audient, or sentient?

I would ask people for a photo but if you're able to connect without it, go with what works for you.

Well, see, a headshot wouldn't work due to my blindness, but what I've been doing in the past is focussing on the person's question. I would start by opening up my chakras, grounding, shielding, connecting with my spirit guide and asking my spirit guide the question.
I've also recently begun to connect with the person's spirit guides etc. too, but before I started doing this, I would just ask my spirit guide the question and would wait for the answer. I guess my main modality was clairaudience/clairsencience.

In getting feedback from the people for whom I did the readings, I would actually come pretty close. I don't know about the whole seeing things before they happen, but in terms of getting results from questions asked regarding the person's life, it's been pretty close, so...

Why not do readings on the phone then? A voice is a wonderful energy to tune in to. I actually prefer voice to the face. But I like to connect with both when I can.

Find your conduit guide, like my Bob. Make sure you're going to your "work" place and not inviting everyone's guides in to your space. That can be draining.

I can get readings from people over the net under certain circumstances. Forums to some degree, but a much better medium is instant messaging. GTalk is the best. (Just kidding about gtalk!)

Physical presence can make things easier, but it is possible to do it over the net. Having said that, I'd be very careful -- scammers abound, and the likelihood of an internet psychic being a scammer is higher than usual, so I'd recommend steering clear unless there's an exceptionally compelling reason to trust the person.

Do guides always give information about other people? Even when we aren't aware of it ourselves? Most of the time I just open up and feel the other person and I start to feel all of these things from them. It'll just feel like impressions mostly. Sometimes I feel a connection with or a pull towards something that they are involved with but it all seems like energy. I never consciously see anyone giving me information I just feel it. Sometimes I hear clips or phrases from other people but I don't trust that as much as the feelings I get from them. It's fairly accurate but not as much as the impressions.

I get most of my information with sight and hearing. I get less of the physical ffeelings and sensations.

One of the forums I attend have a profile picture option, one of my friends has their picture posted on the details, we have been conversing for a while.

One morning as I was turning on my computer I did see a visual of this person sitting on a stool , it was a visual flash,

I never asked my friend if he had been sitting on the stool that morning or not , I probably should have....

Secondly, I question would I have seen a visual of my friend had I not seen their picture on the profile in the first place

Anna, could you please explain to someone who may have them abilities switched on all the time..how they would go about actually switching them off? I have been searching for the answer to this question for a couple of years now to no avail. Please, if you have anything helpful on this; I would sincerely appreciate the input.

Coloratura....ONE QUESTION..If you are blind and the picture is of no use; how do you read the email requests for the reading in the first place? (not trying to be condescending...just really really curious.)

ONE SUGGESTION..if you seem to be pretty good at picking up energies and cannot see a picture...ask them to send you a hand written letter...perhaps you can "feel" their energies that were put into writing the request.

psychic ability isn't one size fits all. some people see, some hear, some feel.
I used to get all kinds of information for people but I never 'saw' anything. I couldn't tell them anything about a person's appearance, but I could describe their behavior, use the same phrases or expressions they used, sum up a situation that had happened, etc.

I know people who get names and dates regularly....I have only once gotten a date and only once gotten a name in my entire life.

FWIW, I'm a 'real' psychic, and I have worked on psychic lines and sold readings on ebay, too. When you live in the middle of nowhere, you do what you have to do to make a living. Back in the old days, I worked for a psychic line that advertised on TV. I know there were people working there who had no abilities whatsoever, but I had repeat callers who knew I was the real deal.

I liked it much better than the cutthroat atmosphere of the internet psychic lines we have today. I would much rather have clients just come to my house, but when you don't have the population to draw from, the internet is a godsend.

Unfortunately, most people who call the psychic lines are looking for someone to tell them when their lover will divorce their spouse, which is distasteful and soul sucking. That was not the case with the psychic lines that advertised on TV back in the 90s. I miss them terribly.
