Hi, I was meditating the other day and I started seeing animal eyes. The image was very clear, and the eyes were green. I could tell that they were distinctly animal eyes, but they seemed to come from no where, there was no head with them or animal body, they just appeared. I got a very bad feeling from these eyes, and was a little freaked out. This is very odd to me because I have quite a few animals that live in my house, and have never lived in a house without at least one animal my entire life. I am also a person who is not afraid of animals, and can approach any animal, even ones who normally bite people, without being bitten. I have been able to do this my entire life, and I am very drawn to animals, and they seem to be drawn to me. I have been thinking this over for a couple of days now, and I cannot figure out why these animal eyes are bothering me so much. I know I am not afraid of animals, and have no reason to be afraid of their eyes. As much as I am thinking about these eyes, and the feeling that I recieved from them must mean that the message is important, but I cannot figure it out. If anyone can help me figure out what these eyes may mean I would appreciate it. |

I think the animal eyes were from an owl and a wolf. I have also been having quite a few dreams about wolves and wolverines, in the months before I seen the eyes. What exactly are power animals? How could I tell if it was something from a past life? I still am unsure of the message, so anything that anyone could tell me may help. Thanks |

You could read about shamanism and journeying, Alberto Villoldo and Fred Alan Wolf have both written interesting books on the subject. Also you could have a soul-retrieval with a shaman, not sure how much that would cost though, and you would absolutely have to find someone who knew what they were doing.

You sound as if you love animals and you are not afraid of their eyes. Sometimes when we meditate we see things, On two occasions I have become aware of what can only be described as a big cow eye. Its indigo in colour with the thickest lashes. The feeling is one of utter calmness. Ive told myself it must be my third eye. Heck I dont Know that its that but thats how I have rationalised it and its fine. Its tucked away in my memory bank now and will be until it chooses to show itself again and it will if it wants to. Theres nothing I can do about that. We are in charge when we meditate. Anything we see is ours.At least thats what I think. Green is the colour of love. The heart chackra. Let that be a comfort to you. Animals can be protectors. Animals are deeply in touch with the divine. Maybe they are letting you know they are looking out for you. Trust that when you meditate all is well. I dont know what else to say. I just wanted you to know that you are not to be afraid. |

Thank you all for your responces. They have helped a lot. I have looked up power animals, and taken an online test to see what my power animals are, and wolves and owls are in my top three. I still have not had time to read about past lives, but I plan to. I also really like the post about the animals being protectors, and letting me know that all is well while I am meditating. It is also comforting to me that the eyes were green and mean love, I knew that but I never would have put it together, so I am comforted by that. That solved my biggest problem; the eyes made me uncomfortable, but I have always been comfortable with animals. Since it has been put in perspective, I now know why the eyes were green, and why the eyes were from those animals. Thank you all for your input. I am feeling a lot better about the situation now that I realize what it means. |

Wanted to add my experiences. Although it only happened in dreams as a very young child I had a similar experience. I would get these dreams where there would be light dimming off and slowly brightening my vision up. On and off. In the light I would see what I thought to be a dragon. I was not incorporated in these dreams its as if i was watching the dragon go about its life. But the dreams would always end the same, haphazardly at one of the "blackouts" I would see a flash of these eyes, the dragons I assumed, and then I would wake. As a child of 4/5 these dreams frightened me, but not the sort of frightened as usual. This was a very deep, very powerful, feeling, that was fear, yes, but fear of the unknown more then anything. I suppose I came to terms with whatever needed to be, because the dreams have not since reoccurred, or not that I can remember. I have always felt a strong connection to wolves in my life, and sometimes wonder whether it was a dragon or a wolf i was seeing. I would be interested to hear what you have since found out, if you don't mind posting.
