Many times when I was in my twenties and going to parties and drinking a lot-- I would sometimes be talking with a person I didn't know well and then just blurt something out about them and it would be true. And what is odd is I would find myself just saying it without thinking about it and the person would look shocked and say, "You're right!" It turned into a party trick where I could accurately "guess" what month a person was born, for example, but whenever I "guessed" there had been no premeditation, I just blurted it out without thinking. Another time an acquaintence told our group that actually the name we knew her by was her middle name, and I just blurted out her real first name without even thinking, and was right. I never did that sort of thing while sober. I guess maybe in a way being under the influence kind of quiets down the part of my mind that is judging what I'm saying and "predictions" can flow more freely? Or? Has anyone else experienced this? |

I have not experienced that myself. However, I have a friend who says that all of the women in her family become very 'sensitive to upcoming events' when they are pregnant. It could be that subtle changes in hormones and brain chemestry affect our perception, so those of us who have a 'gift' of some sort can access it better at certain times. The Rastafarians call pot 'wisdom weed', while the Northern Europeans have the 'Mead of inspiration'.

One of the aims of ritual is to create chemical changes within our bodies to experience various concious states. The overall goal being a permanent change in body chemistry over time. Concentration literally affects biochemical structure.

When you're drunk you probably push your ego and logical mind out of the way and are more open to intuitive insights. Perhaps you feel more open and connected with others.

Whenever I get super baked (high) with a group of people, if I accidently zone out while someone is talking, i can, not wilfully, sort of "tap" into them. It's the strangest feeling, it's like I can tell exactly where they've come from, and the things that have led them to be who they are, like the way they speak or the way they look. That probably doesn't make too much sense, but it's the only way I can describe it.

Heh that is cool, I had that happen to me one night, I had just met a guy and we were hanigng out outside, I was pretty drunk and anyways I told him to guess my middle name, and I just repeated my middle name in my head over and over and being drunk I "knew" I would be able to send this information to him, and guess what? He guessed my middle name. It was very cool.

Yes, some drug users have experienced a 'rewiring' of their brain, which opens them up to psychic phenomena. So, it's not surprising that drinking will do the same thing.

I have never felt psychic from drinking but give me a balloon of nitrous oxide and I will know every movement that each person in my field of vision is going to make but I won't have enough time to verbalise it before it happens.

| Is everything predestined...or in the moment is there limitless possibility? Or is that answer completely dependant on ones subjective viewpoint and the reality they are choosing to create and experience?

Hi Susie, I have had the same experience when I've been nervous and had a couple of drinks. I'm clairvoyant, read for clients, & very aware of spiritual law. I would never consciously venture into someone's life without invitation. I don't tune into people either when I'm out socially for the same reason. Also, I love my physical life and finding out about people the old fashioned way. It is really disconcerting when it happens. I remember being at a party and a young Maori man's grandmother stepped into me and started telling him off in Maori. I don't speak Maori but I understood everything she said. He was stunned and burst into tears. He'd run out on young girl in Australia when she was pregnant. I heard later that he'd gone back and sorted it out. I've spoken in other languages when I've done readings a few times and it's always a bit of shock to me. Lallymac |
