About two nights ago I was in bed, eyes closed waiting for my wife to finish in the bathroom. All of a sudden I saw myself in the middle of a large house. The house was dark, but it was illuminated by all the lights coming from the outside. I guess the house was a mixture of having a lot of windows, or being a glass house (sort of like the ones you see in some movies). The light was coming in from some floodlights that were around a pool/waterfall. I guess due to the water, the light seemed to dance all around the house, sort of in a flowing motion. I asked myself if I was dreaming, but I kept telling myself that no, I was awake enough to know that this was just might imagination. (One thing, I never imagine in 1st person). I tried to prove that I was sort of awake, and I moved my hand across my face. I could see a shadow of what I'd consider was my real hand while I was in bed. The "dream" continue to draw me in, but I kept on insisting to myself that I was awake. I could hear my wife already in the bedroom, but I was still in that house; just standing there. I said to myself, "open your eyes." I stopped myself for a second or two, but I finally opened them. I thought I'd realize that I was awake all along, but I felt sort of a static sensation all around my body as "reality" came back. I could swear that I wasn't asleep, but the vision was so vivid I can't explain it. Any ideas? |

Sounds like a very vivid dream where you came close to lucid dreaming, which would have been to actually become aware that you are dreaming instead of just questioning it, followed by sleep paralysis. peace. |
