I go through phases where I feel it more often, but its a pretty regular occurrence to me, the kind I feel would be like I hear a conversation, and a certain response is given to a question or a phrase, and I feel that I have come across the same thing before.

I have Deja-Vu SO much....like, maybe a few times every week? It's not really the type of deja-vu where you know what's gonna happen next though, for me it's more like I'm in a certain situation and I swear I've done it before. Then I get this weird far-out spacey feeling for a couple seconds. Then it goes away.

Deja vu means that you are heading in the right direction in your life. I had about two or 3 experiences thus far I do not know much about it but I do believe that we come here on earth and do our life over until we get it right. It is just my opinion, I'm not too sure about it.

I haven't had it in YEARS,and i wish i would cuz i love when it happens! I have never heard that it means you are going in the right direction in your life, but i have heard that since time doesn't exist, your brain gets a little ahead of yourself,it kinda has a brain fart and makes you feel like it already happened but its just some trick of the brain.

Sylvia Browne is a fraud. She's good at one thing: making money off poor suckers who believe her bull. Search for Sylvia Browne on youtube and you'll see her getting caught passing off false information time and again. People like her give people like Erin a bad name.

I believe I experienced Dejavu recently. If this is not what deja vu is...let me know. I was washing my hands under the bathroom faucet a few days ago and turned on the warm water on as well as the cold water (i usually wash my hands in cold water).....well, I began soaping up my hands and really focused on the water and the soap in my hands and how it felt.....and all of the sudden I got this memory come over me.....(it was very quick but very familiar) it was of a little boy smiling, I could actually see him in my mind very clearly. At that one moment, I felt like I knew the little boy my whole life....a very familial sense, almost nostalgic. I guess when I think of Dejavu I always thought the moment had to be pivotal or very important and now I believe sometimes its meant for us to remember certian things and events. |

what you said makes a whole lot of sense! Maybe we are here to remember what our purpose in this lifetime is. We lose ourselves by trying to figure out what surrounds us and fail to realize that the answer we seek is not outside of us, but within us. If we spend so much time trying to figure out everything else we only set ourselves up for confusion and frustration ;we could never understanding anything outside us if we don't understand who we are first. |

i get deja vu an average amount of time. it goes in waves, but i find it happens more often when i also have very vivid dreams that I can remember easily. I believe it happens by a combination of the 2 theories. I think there are times when you are more tuned into your subconscious and so when that brain fart happens, it is recognized as the feeling of deja vu. i think if you are less connected, the brain fart still happens but you just don't recognize it. you just kinda get spaced out. but this could mean you are in the right direction in life because generally, if you are in tune with your subconscious you are likely in the direction you want to be in, i would think.

I am not sure if we are all experiencing the same thing here, because i have never had what the last two posters described, and if i did i wouldn't call that deja vu cuz deja vu feels totally different to me. It doesn't have anything to do with visions or seeing things. I dont know, unless there is more than one kind of deja vu. I've only had the kind where whatever you're doing,it feels like you know whats gonna happen as it's happening. Like for about 5 seconds, you can see the future a second ahead of time. I have had wierd visions and flashes of people i dont know (who probably dont exist) but they always happen as i'm laying in bed falling asleep. I get lots of strange visions then,of scenes and people. But they are quick flashes and dont mean anything to me and they never fit in with my dreams or anything else in my life. I just figure those are results of your brain falling asleep, misfiring. Kinda like how some people say when you die, your brain is going through wierd stuff so you'll see and hear wierd things that mean nothing. |

Funny I had Dejavu the other day. I was talking to a girl and I had to stop her in her tracks and say I've had this exact same conversation before. I think it's such an interesting phenonemum. It's like you feel like you have been in that same moment once before, somewhere else. I always love reading wiki D& - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This has just got me thinking, imagine if most people never experienced dreams, would that mean people would be skeptical of the concept of people being able to have dreams? I would imagine this would be what psychics go through. Imagine if it was quite common for most humans to have and use psychic abilities, that would be interesting too. Sorry...just going off on a bit of a tangent Last edited by ellie; 12-12-2008 at 11:48 AM. |

It's funny in the last week or two I've had quite a bit of deja vu moments? More than I ever have had before. It's really strange, just slight little snippets, or inkling that I have been through the moment before. Very odd. Maybe it's a bit like when you try to remember your dreams, you remember them more frequently. |

in thiaoouba prophecy they say that deja vu is you remembering a small part of your life that was shown to you by your higher self before you entered your present body. the book says that before you pass into your new life you go through the "river of oblivion" which erases your knowledge of what your higher self has shown you about your new life in your present body and sometimes your soul remembers some small details and thats where deja vu comes from. what they mean is that you have been shown your entire life already by your higher self and you chose to live this life, and each time you have deja vu your soul remembers this small part and that's why you feel you have been there before or heard or seen it before. what does anyone else think? sounds like a very good explaination if ya ask me. i tried to explain it best i could but if you read the book you will underrstand it better.

I have had these kind of experinces as far back as I can remember. I get 2 different things that can happen to me. Either I get that severe feeling that I have seen something happen before, sometimes so severe that I can predict what is about to happen. I used to always try to explain it by thinking that my daily pattern was the same thing everyday that eventually these kinds of similarities would come up. I now believe it to be something more. The other things that happens to me is that I might be trying to "juggle" too many thought through my head at once and the best way I can describe what happens next is that my thoughts are like a train moving forward and then all of a sudden they just go to light speed and just bust off and fly in all different directions. I am left feeling suddenly overwhelmed and confused. My mind goes blank for a few seconds and I have to regain my concentration. It isn't anxiety. I have always thought that maybe people who have seizures experince this maybe a split second before they have a seizure. I honestly am only guessing and have no idea. I wish I had a better way the explain this and if I can think of one I will post it. Has anyone had this happen to them, or does anyone have an idea of what it is or have heard about it before?

I experience deja vu on a very regular basis, sometimes it's more prominent than other times, but it always leaves me feeling the same way. I happen to agree that it has a meaning akin to verifyig that you're on the right path. Though as we all know, that path may not be as obvious to us as it is to destiny. I just wrote an article on this if anyone's interested. |

I just remembered the scene in "the Matrix", when Neo sees a cat pass 2 times in the same way. They said deja vu was an error in the Matrix, a sign that "they" had changed something. I think it was one of the most terrifying moments, since you could feel that something bad was going to happen. Since we have no actual way of knowing we don't like in a Matrix |
