I've been lucid dreaming for a while, and I keep experiencing this. Whenever I become lucid directly within a dream, I usually have very good visual clarity, and everything moves smoothly. However, whenever I have a WILD, it's like it takes a long time for my dream scenes to become properly formed. My visuals just seem really broken for a while. Besides the fact that I can't open my eyes straight away (although I can see), the scenes seem to be rendered at something like one frame per second. I can imagine myself moving through the house (my touch works fine), but then my visuals just reset me to a previous position. I'm guessing I should start my WILDs by trying to properly ground my senses in the new reality. Any suggestions on how I could go about doing that, especially on the visual side? |
