Second energy?

First of all, hi everyone!!! How are you today?

Anyway, now that that's out of the way, on to the topic! Okay, this is a just something that has been bugging me for a while, so here we go.. Before I use my energy for any reason (Ex: praticing with a psi ball, minor healing on myself, etc) I visualize it flowing through me. I don't force the image of it on me, I just let it come to my mind. Well, recently I noticed that there's a second kind of energy in me! My normal energy, from what I can tell, appears to be blinding white, and sort of "static-y", (It sparkles, and moves rather rapidly) but lately there has been a dark purple/indigo colored energy tied around it, a bit like a braid. This one is also flowy, sort of like silk or water. I'm pretty confused about this, so if anyone has any idea about what's causing it, or anything like that, could you please help me out? Thanks!

(If it helps, since this new energy has appeared it's been easier to use energy at night instead of during the day. A bit of a disadvantage, I suppose, but what can I do?)

What does this second energy feel like? What was your state of mind when it appeared?

The first time I saw it was a few months back... Give me a minute... Remembering.. Okay. It was around 10 or 11 at night, and I felt a bit restless (couldn't fall asleep), so I decided to try meditating a bit, thinking that perhaps my mind was a little to busy. It's a sort of reflex to check my energy when I do this, so that's when I first spotted it. Nowadays (is that one word??O.o), the energy is rather calming, a bit like it's keeping my actual energy under control, or something.

Another odd note I got from my friend was that it seemed "globby" to her, like you could take a chunk out of it. (I sometimes meditate with my friends; for some reason, this particular friend is able to accurately guess what kind of energy we have. It's rather odd, actually...)
