i'm wondering if anyone else has read this book and to what extent the spirit world portrayed in it is true.
does anyone know if the author wrote this from personal experience?

i was wondering this after i had been trying to get myself to wake up one morning but was so tired i couldn't open my eyes.. i told myself 'just wake up!' and i could suddenly see.. but my eyes were still closed. he mentions his main character in the book the ability to see with his eyes closed still... so i'm wondering what else is true?

No offense but, this is fiction, right?

I wouldn't be drawing too many conclusions from a fictional work.

yeah i can see that its fiction..
although its been argued to be in different sections. actually it seems to be subjective as to where to place it. some people place it in magic realism.
i'm sure the story itself is completely made up but i'm wondering if he's written anything based on personal experience or if it is all influenced by his mother's stories. i'd contact him but he only has a myspace page and therefore can't message him as i refuse to get myspace
