Default California earthquake: Remote viewed

In case you haven't read it yet, or have decided to let go of reading the news:

Strong quake shakes Southern California - Yahoo! News

When I read that, I immediately this remote viewing site I went to before, the farsight institute and I remembered that one of their recent remote viewings was of the LAX airport being badly damaged, roughly around July-August.

The Farsight Institute | Global Climate Change RV Study

Quote:
On the surface, these data in combination suggest a huge seismic event that may destroy much of Los Angeles. Indeed, these data suggest that some of the area around Los Angeles may sink into the sea. In some areas near LAX, that would be an approximate 36 meter drop. This would be extraordinary if it actually did happen.
Now this just got me thinking: With things like remote viewing and all that, wouldn't it be helpful to alert people about events like this, which were known through psychic means? Chances are the attempts will be ignored, but surely it's better than doing nothing? This is probably an ethics question, but still, it got me thinking.

Plus, the remote viewer's can be wrong. I pray for the best.

It was 5.8, and believe me, it felt BIG here in Santa Monica.

Oh- the USGS site said it was 5.4 so did the news.....

Anyway, wow- it was that strong in Santa Monica? That's scary! I hope you didn't have any damage...

No damage, no one hurt, thank you for your concern. Except my eggs cracked. I mentioned in another thread that I think it felt so strong here because we're right on the sand, so we were really rocking and rolling.

My neighbor told me a story of how the building next door was completely destroyed by the '94 earthquake; all the tenants got out safely but their belongings were lost forever in concrete rubble and fire. Bummer! Good reminder to have my shoes handy and an emergency grab-and-run bag prepared. Sometimes aftershocks happen in the dark!

Last big fire here I was told to throw everything I wanted to keep on the bed and use the comforter as a sack. Even that might be hard to do in the dark though.

Something to think about, huh? What do you grab when you only have seconds to grab it?

Everyone at my office ran outside, which I guess is the thing you're not supposed to do. I can't remember the last time I felt an earthquake.

Really, I've always heard NEVER run outside an office building -- because falling glass will get you. owch. I found myself debating internally today about that. Should I bolt? There's an awful lot of hotel windows out there!

A few months ago we had a 5.2 quake just about 100 miles from where I live... didn't feel a damn thing.

Then, about three days later, we had a 5.2 aftershock centered about three miles from where I live. Guess what... STILL didn't feel a damn thing.

I felt so ripped off... First solid earthquakes in this region in over 20 years and I don't even get the satisfaction of saying I noticed 'em.

Yeah, instinctively, I and everyone else on our floor went outside. So did all the people in all the neighboring office buildings. It was like a block party.

Also I think most people wanted to see everyone else in the complex and have something to talk about. I got to flirt with some of the girls I don't work with.

It happened so fast, yet all day that's been the main news story, that and "brace yourself the big one is just around the corner!"

As far as I know no one was seriously injured, so that's good. It shook me good though.
