Do we have different kinds of Spirit Guides?

I can presently neither see nor feel any of my Guides, even in my dreams. However, I need to know if most people have a variety of Guides with specific talents. Say, if there's the "Bargain Guide", who directs us to the right stores with the best sales, or the "Catastrophy Guides" who warns us of some one's impending death.( That happened in my case- during meditation- concerning the demise of my Ex three years ago . Unfortunately, there's been no more Guide activity/interaction since. Maybe I don't want to know who's going to die next!) I would like to meet my "Companion Guide", but I believe I'm too much of a loner to attract one. Any insights on this matter?

In my experience you do have guides that pop in and out to help you with certain situations and/or projects, and you have guides that stick with you for life. The guides who stick with you may help you with more than one area.

If you're wanting to connect with your guides in order to get guidance on topics, just send a general shout out to them and let them sort out which guide will take the lead in guiding you.

My "astral guide", as you called it, is my main guide. She is the one I see in visions, dreams, and projections. Her energy feels very different than my other guides. She is always around me. The others seem to come when I call them.

I have been calling out to "Them" for about fifteen years, but I seem to still have the same dellimas (spelling?) with the same major problems. Most of my difficulties lie with my discouragment with certain kinds of representatives of the human race (*holes, I call them), and thus the inabilty to makejust plain, decent, good friends. Well, enough friends. I have a few. Very few. Like I said before, I'm a loner. Wich is not exactly conducive to attracting lots of happy, honest people. Without friends, I have not been able to learn to practice driving real car so I can actually get my full drivers licence and buy my own so I can get a better job than the Dairy Queen which in walking distance where I live. (I'm 44 years old.)I don't date, 'cause I don't meet men, except creepy old geezers who come in for ice cream. I also taught myself to play the mandolin so I could perhaps meet people at the Bluegrass clubs, etc., but I have only met even more creepy old geezers, and the few females there tend to be very stand-offish - so I have no one to jam with. I could go on, and on, but its like playing a broken record. So, where are these darned guides?

I'm new on this forum, but after reading your message, Little Deb, I wanted to share with you what I feel comes out of what you're writing.
I think that you're trying very hard to get some help from the outside, whereas it is from guides or friends. Of course, no man's an island, but don't you think you put too much hope on them instead of on you?
It feels like you wish things to be different (better), and don't have an intent to actually make things better for yourself. That happened to me quite a lot, so I know how it feels, but in the end, your own wellbeing is your responsibility.
I suspect the "discouragement" you feel for other people is actually the one you feel for yourself, do you value yourself as worthy enough?
I hope I'm not getting too much out of my way writing this, but somehow, I felt compelled to give my 2 cents.

Hi Little Deb- I just felt the need to write you after reading your post about the creepy old geezers. I just came out a very similar life experience- being stuck without means to a car, not feeling like I belonged, having trouble making friends, and meeting loser after loser. If you can believe it, I continued to live in this state of unhappiness with my surroundings for 10 years! I finally felt that I couldn't stay where I was (the place or lifestyle) and be happy so I relocated 2 years ago. I was told constantly by my family and the very very few friends that I had, to stick it out, make an effort, happiness comes from inside. You know- that's not completely true. Sometimes (more often than I think people realize) you just need to be in a place that is more conducive and accepting of who you are. It sounds like to me that you might be in this situation. There are cities in the US and Canada where you don't need a car, where the public transportation is excellent (subways, metro, trains, etc). Most of Europe and Asia is that way already. Maybe you are more creative and need to be around similarly creative types. There is a book on the market by Richard Florida called "Who's Your City" that talks all about this. His website creativeclass.com can give you more info. He simply articulated what I already instinctively knew- that I needed to move and happiness isn't just "inside you" but is influenced by your surroundings quite a bit.

Anyway- it worked for me. I just wish that I had left ten years ago instead of trying to make it work for so long. Wishing you the best!!

I tend to think that every individual guide is simply some aspect of a single guide.

More to the point, if you've had interaction with your spirit guides in the past, and you've never really progressed beyond the same issues that are coming back over and over again, think back to what they (or he/she) has told you to do about your situation in the past. Have you acted upon their advice, or simply ignored it?

Maybe trying to reapply yourself to their wisdom will encourage them to come back around and give you more insight and advice. I know that if I were a guide, and I saw no progress in a person that I would be very discouraged. Perhaps they may feel the same way.
