Choosing your abilities

I was wondering if you have the option to choose your abilities, or is it that it all basically grows at the same time?

I'm having a little hard time with not being afraid of spirits (probably mostly the seeing, hearing/talking part). Do you choose to develop your skills as a medium or does it kind of just happen as you develop other psychic skills?

Oh also I'm mostly just interested in connecting with guides and other support systems =).

They say a psychic is made and a medium is born. The suggestion here is that you can become psychic but unless you are naturally talented at sensing deceased spirits then you will just be a psychic and not a medium.

I personally think you have an optimal or stronger modality, but you can develop other ones too.

hmm makes sence...I guess my question is what's the difference. The difference being you can see deceased spirits as a medium, and being psychic allows you things like...intuition, premonitions, things like that?

Yes being psychic is about tuning in to someone and knowing what's going on with them and getting the guidance for them that they can't hear on their own. You're sort of the go-between between the guides and your sitter.

With mediumship you are receiving communication from the deceased loved ones of your sitter. That all comes in on a different frequency/channel so to speak.
