Experiences with your Spirit Guides
 

What are your experiences with your spirit guides?

I think I see mine. I'm not sure if it is a hallucination or not(I used to have them, long time ago), but from what I've read it sure acts like a spirit guide. He tells me a little info, and does the rest with pokes and nudges to what I need to be doing. Like, whenever I doing research on the 'Net, I always get nudges on which sites to go to and which ones not to go to.

Also, I get nudges and pokes all the time doing everyday stuff. I don't really know if it's my logic or spirit guides, but it doesn't really matter.

So, how does your spirit guide(s) contact you and what are you experiences like?

When you say you think you see them, are you seeing them in your mind's eye or with your physical eyes? Usually it's through the mind's eye.

Mine talk to me. Easiest way for them to communicate with me. But when I'm doing readings they love to show me movies/images/metaphors. Due to my vast experience with dream symbols and interpreting dreams, I'm able to interpret the metaphors pretty well. But I love it when they just talk to me. So much easier.

Sometimes I see pictures of them in my head and other times I see them faintly around me. I also hear their voices, instead of both pictures and sounds like you.

Sounds pretty familiar to me. I don't see my Guides with my physical eyes, but I experience them in so many other ways that not seeing them seems insignificant.

how do they appear to you as you see them faintly?

I dont really see mine. I just feel it. Feel the guidance. I sometimes start to imagine what I think they may look like but then I stop because I feel like my mind doesnt do such a wonderful thing justice.
I also dont know if I have just one or multiple.. Sometimes it feels like a "they" and sometimes it feel singular...
I dont know, so cool to think about!

It's definitely a "they" but you will periodically hear from a dominant guide or a spokesperson. Even if you don't hear from them directly you have a lot of guides.

I talk to mine and dream about them too
 

I usually talk to mine when I'm in deep meditation. However there have been times when they or deceased people visit me in dreams and give me messages and advice. The messages have always been spot on.

In fact I had been dreaming about my deceased mother recently (Sunday, July 13, 2008) and she gave me a solution to a problem that I had. I applied the solution on Monday morning and to my surprise it worked. Then two days later, someone left a message on my answering machine saying "Jen this is your mother." and then they hung up. Jennifer is my first name, so I know the message had to be for me and not someone else. And what's weird was that when I traced the call, the number was from my the phone on my desk at work! How can a call I never placed end up on my machine? And no one at work would play a trick like that because they all know my mother passed away last year.

I usually talk to them through my imagination, I don't really need a special time to do that since it comes naturally to me to just talk to them while I am listening to music or reading something on the internet. I never see them either, I mostly just feel them, just do what you are most comfortable with and just go with it.:D

I often converse with my spirit guide in my dreams. Sitting in a coffee shop, or maybe just on the couch somewhere.

Sometimes I can remember specifics, and sometimes I can't, but those are always some of the best dreams, and they always leave me feeling much more relaxed when I wake up.

Before I started reading Erin's blog, I never thought about things in terms of "spirit guides". I just followed my gut feelings, passed along messages I heard, and communicated info that came to me. Going into a white room to talk to my guides didn't seem like something that would work for me - I just didn't see it that way. Just recently, I started picturing someone in my mind's eye, and I realized it's someone who's been there my whole life - in dreams, or just... around, in my thoughts. I got a reading from someone on Lisa Williams' site, (caution - auto music thingy - yuck) and she described him to a T! I immediately said, "That's my spirit guide!" and I knew that to be true. It was funny, because I just never thought about it like that, but once I did, it seemed right and true. I'm calling him Paul, because of Paul Simon and Paul Michael Glaser, not to mention Paul McCartney (even though I'm a George girl!) - the name just seems to fit. I've kinda got a crush on him.

So since that reading, I'll ask him things in my mind, or today, I was getting info about a friend's spirit guide, and asked Paul to connect so I could more clearly pass the information on. It's a much clearer connection, more direct it seems like, than the knowledge just flowing in. I'm having fun with it, developing this more direct relationship. We'll see where it goes!

Your Paul is probably like my Bob. Bob is specifically there to connect me with other people's guides. He doesn't serve as much on my spirit guide council, so to speak, but he is in charge of my ability to connect when doing readings, he's not so much into telling me to buy bread at the store. :)

I don't know if this was of my spirit guides or what exactly it was. About a month back one day, when I was in that sleep to waking state. I heard a voice asking me if I want to feel my spirit. Then I got three electric shocks below my shoulder blades just like you'd count 1,2,3. And then time slowed down and I could feel the perceptions of my body, my senses - shift to some etheric state. And then I woke up. It happened quickly.

Usually my communication with my spirit guides happen via synchronicities. But I would so much prefer language or clairaudient communication that is clear and succinct instead of me trying to interpret some signs. One day I'll get there, till then psychics/intuitives are my medium for direct communication. :)

I don't know if this is a Spirit Guide or not, but I felt a presense around me a few months back. Not only did it move over my shoulder and "hover" about 2 feet away from me, it gave me a shock into my hand and "spoke" to me.

I've never been able to figure out what happened, why, or if it's a true message or not. I have always felt that something like that is a true message. Friends tell me to let it go, it doesn't mean anything, but I think it is a blessing to feel Spirit Guides and to know they are around you. How can you let that go?

I'm interested in how you make this connect through your imagination. I know that from time to time I'll imagine events or situations that make me feel really good (running track, playing in a band ect.), but I'm not sure how to use this connection to connect with spirit guides. It feels kind of superficial so do speak as I'm doing the imagining I guess. Is this how you strength your connection or is there another way....?

Looking for answer! I was sound asleep. something poked my ankle and i woke up quickly it poked my ankle again then i freaked out and jumped out of bed nothing was there. The next night i got up to go to the bathroom as i was sitting on the john i felt 2 drops of cold water on my back, when i felt my back nothing was there. I never believed in this stuff or even thought about it before 2 nights ago. Please help me find some kind of answer to this insain experience.

I was meditating two night ago when I found myself on the top of a hill. I sat in one of the stone chairs and opposite me was a handsome dark man with beautiful white wings telling me he was my Guardian Angel he had a name.

He gave answers to most of my questions but in a way I do not speak or think so I ruled out my sub consciousness mind. When I asked him about my career change he just replied with one word “fly” and “you will know”.

He told me to end an relationship I cherish dearly. I love that person and he loves me back, but we have no future together, we have a distance relationship that is very intimate and we are so close, and has gone on for a long time and hurts no one. I don’t get it. I was told a new person even better will come into my life…????

Has anybody had these kinds of encounters lately? Do I listen to his advice? In Sonia Choquette book Ask Your Guides I read that you should listen even if it does not seems to be in alignment with what you want, because if you don't the spirit will go silent and anyway their advice will turn out to be correct. Any experiences?

I focused too much on a hypnosis audio and ever since this spirit or entity keeps guiding me whenever I ask Him to. I ask questions and sometimes I get answers which are very helpful.

well I'm struggling to connect w/ mine, I've been trying for a while now to have a lucid dream and asked them several times to meet me in my dream but so far all I get is wierd dreams but no clear contact with them. Very frustrating but I'll keep trying

Is there a point there in your post?

A few months ago I had a really weird experince...I'm not sure wethier it was my Spirit Guide, Guardian Angel, a Higher Being or just my imagination gone wild.

Anyways, I had a really vivid dream (It felt as if I were wide awake) one night that I was just lying in my bed, waiting to fall asleep. I shut my eyes, and all of a sudden on the back of my eyelids I saw this person who was glowing gold in the distance! Like a golden aura or something? Also somehow I got the vibe that he was a man...Well, I think he began to walk closer to me (though I'm not sure) and as you can imagine, I was totally freaking out!!!

I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't. I felt around the room to see if I could touch my lamp light. (my lamp is a touch sensitive one) After great struggle, I managed to open my eyes and touch my lamp, but for some reason it wouldn't turn on! I kept destratly touching it and I wondered if there was a blackout. Then I noticed that my bedside clock was still on, and it read '3:20'.

Then I woke up, shocked about what I had just seen...It took me a few hours to fall back to sleep after that.

Spirit Guides - Runners
 

I have a cat in my yard that drives one of my dogs crazy when I let her out on a regular basis, all the time. So I asked my Runner Spirit to go ahead and have the cat go away just till my dog "does her thing". And my Spirit has done this. Not once have we met the cat in the yard since I have been asking for this form my Runner.
Also.. yesterday I went to the doctors. It is always packed. I have to wait for at least 30 minutes. This time there was nobody in front, nobody in the office. Nobody!!!! I asked my Runner Spirit to have it this way a few hours before I went to the doctors and just let go, forgot about it.

I read about this in Sonia Choquette-s book Ask Your Guides

Just fumbly fingers. I meant to post something deeply profound and heart-felt, but accidentally deleted it before I posted it. Then realized that there are no real accidents and figured my Guides thought I was being pompous and arrogant again, so I decided not to try and correct the mistake and just let it hang.
