Scary psychic experience. HELP Can anyone tell me what it is and what it means?
 

The evening of the fourth I had just gotten back from the gym with my sister and we were eating at the kitchen table. As I was talking to her all of a sudden I got that feeling you get when someone is coming up behind you quickly, when you can sense their presence. It felt very strong. Then at that same instant a mental picture came into my mind of a man I didn't recognize. I could sense he wasn't good. He was running towards me with his arms stretched out like he wanted to grab me. It was so vivid that I guess I couldn't tell the difference between the vision and my actual dinner conversation because I turned around quickly and cried out. As I turn around my sister gives me this look like "WTF is up with you?" lol. It kind of freaked me out. At low points during my life I could sense a similar bad presence. One time I actually heard it respond to a command of mine telling it to leave me alone. My sister who may have a little ability herself says that sometimes she does sense a bad presence in my room and the back area of our house. I'm not sure if it's related to our house or not. I think it's attracted to me whatever it is because I've experienced it in another place too. Any ideas of what that was in the kitchen and whether it could be related to the other experiences?

I'm kind of scared to go back to my house. Since then I've been at my cousin's and my mom's. It may sound kind of ghey but I'm kinda freaked.

Seeing as my past experience and knowledge of the paranormal is not perfect, I might not be the best source. The best thing would be to listen to Erin, Steve, or another experienced person on this subject. That being said, I'm sort of leaning toward an malicious sort of entity. Always keep it in mind that it very well could all be in your mind, but I understand that if you feel it is real, that is impossible. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is a demon, as of yet, but it sounds bad. It could be following you around, if you say it has happened outside of your house:


This type of activity can typically be associated with poltergeists. If it is a demon (don't fall back on the "if"'s now, OK?) then it definately has the ability to follow you around, and will do so forever and ever should you choose to do nothing about it. Depending on your religion, there are a few things that can be done. If it is bad enough, get your house cleansed. Any priest should be able to do this. I'm not quite sure any other religious options (unless you are a Taoist ;)). If it is just minor things, then as hard as it may seem... Ignore it. If you show fear or agression of any sort, it feeds it's energy. Show it you won't be afraid of it. Keep a positive outlook. I hope that this may be of some assistance, friend.

I don't think that sounds like a demon, but if it is I'd start looking into charms, or a religious symbol necklace, like a pentacle, or certain crystals.

From what you desribed it sounds like a possible shadow creature. I might be wrong, but that first feeling is associated with them. Could also be a poltergeist, or angry ghost.

Mabey an astral traveler, not sure how that would work...

No... not an astral traveller... typically they, you know, are astral :p. No, this is something negative. I feel it... and I don't feel this certain often. Then again it might be some bad chinese I ate earlier. It seems to me that it might just want to feed off of fear. But as Seo said, after he tells it to go away, it did so.

And thus that kind of makes me feel it isn't a demon. But as I said before, I R TEH N00BZORZ, and therefore my advice should be taken much more lightly than that of a more advanced person.

By the way,

The religious items arent a bad idea. Just keep in mind, faith is an essential for the actual workings of the items as a safety. Just a thought.

Thanks for the responses, I'll keep looking into it. I don't think it was a demon. Maybe last time. But I saw this as a man and last time I saw a non-human form. The last time I told it to leave me alone when I sensed its presence and it responded "No!" but then it left me alone for a few months. I sense that this time it was a different thing. It felt different. This one wasn't as bad as the other one. The first one seemed to leave me alone after I become very strong in my faith in God. However, I'm not so sure what this thing is....

Its sounds like a spirit that's attached to the house rather than to you.

I'd suggest a house clearing.

Command the spirit to leave you alone and don't allow it to intimidate you. If it is a negative spirit, the more fear you feed it, the more scary it will appear.

Also try raising your vibration as much as possible.

definitely use white sage in your house.. smudge all the rooms.. especially the rooms you've experienced this. it makes a huge difference.

This was a few years back, I had a similar experience but this enity I could hear the foots shuffling on the floor boards which sounded like a fast train, a bad sense would overcome me. Normally it would be when I went to lay down and still awake. Then It my body would freeze and couldnt move and pressure on my body and it was trying to hurt me. This happened for a few weeks with a visit of 4 times. I seeked assistance just like you are. I was told it was a enity. I was told not to show any fear as soon as I started to hear it come towards me. Tell it out loud go away - or stop go away. Strange enough it disappeared. Looking back how I could have picked this up - I was introduced to a guy at the club the night before his occupation was burrial. and I picked it up from him.
You need to have faith in god, good spirits do not give you a sense of fear. Try mediation you get a lot of people saying try it but dont tell you how to, trust me a lot of us have been there and had to learn. Get some soft flowing music and close your eyes and concentrate on your parts of your body until you feel so relaxed then vizaulise something like paradise a island, picture palm leaves, crystal sand, look for the fine details. Give your spiritual guide a inviation to come and join you - what's happening is something being said or doing something. This is normally a message.
When you have some type of fear that's unexplainable call on your spirtual guide to protect you.
You can have a cross around however you need to have the faith to back it up with god.
If the enity refuses to move away thats when you need to get someone with more experience like a priest or Meduim to find out why it's haunting you or wont leave the premises.
Always think of good and love to everyone especially your enemies

But this thread is really old. The original post I made was during the summer. Maybe that's why you remember it.

This was one of my first psychic experiences that really freaked me out in about 8 years so I guess I was pretty desperate for advice.... lol. Things are better now though.

I used to suffer from vulnerability to negative entities.

I've learned to protect myself psychically, and it never happens now. If you want some advice PM me on the subject.

Maybe a created thought-form, like a servitor or tulpa. Have you pissed off a sorcerer?:D
Possibly it could be "just your imagination" , kinda like a flashback. The brain is a wondrous thing , but if it has the slightest malfunction in just the right spot the effects on consciousness can be weird indeed. From my years working in radiology I recall several very odd manifestations of actual physical problems. People can "see" smells or hear things that they heard years ago.

I'm just saying it may not have a psychic origin and you should be alert to other clues you may have a health problem.

I do remember several years ago when I was doing chakra exercises and meditating a lot I would sometimes hear violins just before I fell asleep and on occasion hear my name whispered in the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.
