Writing a school paper on what happens after one dies and finding Erin Pavlina's website while searching for information this site may just help me in my search. I am wondering after one dies and is still around their loved one's where do they stay? Do they sleep? Is their time different than worldly time? And if the deceased decide they no longer want to wander earth do they go and what is it like? I can understand why after one passes who they are is more laid back. Where do soul's come from. I know that people's questions about creation can not be fully answered but being very skeptical about the whole living thing makes me feel lost...

The dead are not wandering the Earth. When you die you change form. You're energy, consciousness, and you leave your body and you're thought without form. You reside on another plane of existence. when you want to interact with incarnated humans (i.e. the family you left behind) you have to lower your frequency, your vibration, to interact with the physical world. It is not easy for all spirits to do this. It takes some practice.

They don't sleep, because sleep is only something the body needs.

Time is definitely different but I can't explain exactly how it is.

When you're deceased you can tune in to what's going on with your loved ones much the way we might turn on the television to see what's happening on our favorite show. some spirits are more interested in what's going on around here and some disconnect because they want to move on and slough off their previous mortal existence.

No answer here is definite. No one really knows what happens after we die.

My 2 cents are that we just end, a deep, endless sleep, like any other animal.
