Default Same Dream as a Stranger

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here

My dreams are a huge part of how I remember myself. I have very vivid dreams and often receive very explicit messages. I keep most of my dreams to myself, but recently, I was with a good friend who I only see a few times a year and I had the feeling that I needed to share a specific dream with him. This dream had been (and still is) heavily on my mind because of its intense and extremely direct message. After I shared it with him, he was speechless. He told me that about a year prior, another person (who I do not know) had came to him and shared the exact same dream with him because it scared him as well. The exact same words were used, the exact same message was given, and the same events occurred plus or minus some minor details. This person told him that he had never shared this with anyone else before.

I've never heard of such a thing before...

I don't really have a question. I am just looking for any insight on this. I wonder if I am some how supposed to connect with this person and our friend is the medium, or if we are having some sort of "collective" dream? This is not a common dream or by any means. I have never heard or read anyone dreaming anything similar to it. Any thoughts?

Collective unconscious - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yeah. That's probably what happened. I personally feel more connected to the vein of thoughts and feelings when I'm asleep, or in danger.

Do you want to share what the dream was? That could spill more light on what the situation is.

Personally, from what I see, I would hazard a guess that you and the Stranger both served a purpose of relaying this dream to your friend.

If I would you, I would meet that stranger. Who knows, you might make a new friend?

One morning at breakfast, my old roommate and I found we had had the same dream the night before -- Peter Sellers had sat at the foot of our beds and said nice things to us and then said goodbye.

Later that day we saw on the news that he had died during the night. Spooky, huh?

My mom and I used to "dream together" -- we would agree beforehand to visit in our dreams and then would later find that there were a lot of little details, like location or what was said, that we had in common on a particular night.

That is spooky, and pretty neat (not that he died, of course, but that you have had the same dreams as other people in your life). I've heard of people who are close to each other having the same dream, but I have never heard of two perfect strangers having the same dream.

Well, I'm not sure that I'm comfortable sharing the dream in its entirety (right now) on a public forum because of the nature of it... Not that I have anything to hide I suppose.

In the dream I was given a message/warning from 3 people who clearly identified themselves as not from Earth. It was very, very direct and I'm sure that it was meant for me, not for my friend. The stranger received the exact same message from 3 people who (according to my friend whom he shared it with) were of a similar description to the 3 in my dream. That was the main part of the dream, although it included some other strange things that were the same as well.

I would really like to meet this stranger too. I have a feeling that we will meet eventually, when the time is right. We live very far apart.

your dream experience is very interesting, sounds like it could be an important message for your friend. It reminds me of times when I found people unknown to each other to have the same idea or write a similar song..must be drawing information from somewhere: a collective unconcious?

I experienecd a kind of shared dream with a boyfriend once. We told each other our dreams from the night before, they were quite similar but different..both were about jobs, vehicles & laptops.

In my dream I had a brand new laptop, went to a job interview then took the train home, discovered I forgot my laptop at the interview, called my boyfriend to take me back to place of interview (he arrived in a black SUV)..was told my laptop was there but lost somewhere in the building and I should come back another day to get it.

Boyfriend dreamed an old boss phoned him to say he had alot of money to give him (back payment), he got in a cab and went to the old job location, got the money and decided to buy an expensive laptop with it.

Very interesting! I also think it's important for you to meet up with the stranger. It would, at the very least, be fascinating to find out what was going on in their life at the time they had the dream and see if there are any parallels to your life. That may explain why a certain warning is necessary at a particular time?

I remember a friend of mine told me a story that happened to him.
He had a friend that spent the night at his home. And that night they both had the same dream, where they saw my friend's grandmother crying in a specific room of his house. Later, they learnt that on the same night his grandmother died.

I had a dream one night when I had recently separated from my wife and was having some trouble seeing my kids as much as I wanted.

In the dream, I was standing inside the edge of the woods behind the house where we (I had previously) lived watching my son play soccer with some other kids. He saw me, dropped what he was doing and ran toward me and I picked him up and hugged him. Then I woke up. It was really intense.

About an hour or so later, I called my son, and he said he had a dream about me right before he woke up. It was the same dream, but from his point of view, the only difference being that he was playing field hockey; not soccer. But, he said he was playing, looked over and saw me at the edge of the woods, ran to me and I picked him up and hugged him. He told me all of this before I had even mentioned a word about my own dream. As far as we can tell, we had the dreams about the same time.

I can only explain it in that we somehow connected in the "dream world". It's never happened again so far, but I'll never forget it. Of course, most people don't believe these kinds of things, but he and I both know what happened. I guess love has ways of making things happen beyond our understanding.
