Default Great new lucid dreaming website

Hi guys

I'd like to share my new lucid dreaming website with you... World of Lucid Dreaming.

I've spent a lot of time and energy building this over the last two months and have had some really positive feedback so far.

It's aimed at teaching ANYONE how to lucid dream, with step-by-step visualization techniques and meditation / self-hypnosis. There are also fascinating articles about sleep disorders and sleep research. I am also developing a primitive "forum" for readers stories.

Please stop by and check it out! In doing so, you will really help me grow the popularity of the site. It is one of my big personal development goals to earn a living from my own online business... and this is just the start!

Thanks for your time. Please do let me know your feedback so I can improve the site to the best it can be. I hope you like it.

Rebecca

I'm a fan of visualization stuff, too.

Cool site! Congratulations!

Now, I wonder...how many of us will find ourselves naturally and easily waking up in our dreams tonight...and being aware that we're having lucid dreams?

And right now, in this moment, are you awake?

Are you sure?

Default I'll check it out...

When I was younger I used to realize I was asleep and control my dreams, but it was hard to maintain it. I don't even think the term lucid dreaming had been coined yet, although I could be wrong. I haven't tried in years.

Default Site Build It!

Ah yes, I forgot to mention, World of Lucid Dreaming is a Site Build It website!

I heard about SBI in one of Steve's articles about ditching the rat race and becoming self-employed.... Very inspirational. In fact I immediately bought SBI and started building my own website!

For those of you who don't know, SBI teaches you how to build a website, and gives you all the tools and software you need to make it really successful. I have written an article about it here. You can also search on StevePavlina.com as he has written lots about it.

The aim is to make profits from your website - so there is a great underlying motivation for all of us. Plus, it's really fun!

On the topic of lucid dreaming, it is a beautiful experience and I highly recommend practicing it. The better you become at raising your awareness in dreams - the more enjoyable it is. At first I had a few lucid seconds which was exciting enough, but the lucid dreams I have now are 1000 times more amazing.

Keep at it, pick up new techniques for staying lucid, and you will be rewarded. Sometimes when you least expect it.

Thank you all for the kind words about the site. You are all very encouraging.

Rebecca

REcommendation:

Navigation is hard for a lucid dreaming beginner. I found myself asking "Where do I go?"

I looked around and have an idea about the website. I recommend renaming "Lucid Dreaming Help" to "Starting to Lucid Dream" or "Start Here" or "The First Step" or "Navigate this Website" or "How Can this Site Help You?"

Something like that.

Going to go check it out before I go to sleep.
I like the lucidipedia, Lucidipedia - Learn lucid dreaming

Quote from the website, "In fact, some children teach themselves to control their dreams without really understanding how."

Funny because when I was younger my dad always told me to find a clock in my dreams, so that I could see if it was real or not.

That reality check has NEVER worked for me...i did start seeing clocks in my dreams (which i never have before,as well as cellphones and other electronic devices) but never once did i become lucid, even after what seemed like minutes of messing around with them trying to get them to work! Then i'd wake up (later) and think "that dream was full of broken clocks, radios, and cellphones, why didnt i become lucid, not even once!?"

I envy all of you who can become lucid so easily.

Default Recommendation

Thanks for your recommendation Fullcrum. I'm going to do just that! I'll also split out the sleep disorders to their own section as its not really related. Yes, I can see Getting Started becoming a big one all of its own. Thanks so much

RockChick, I know your frustration, this happens to me too sometimes. An opportunity to reality check in a dream can easily be wasted, if you aren't prepared to TRULY question your reality. Try this... throughout the day, do a reality check and actually imagine you are in a dream right then (obviously you know you're not... but just pretend). If you can plausibly imagine pushing your hand through the wall, or floating up, just for a second, you will really put your reality to the test. And when this happens in a dream you are more likely to engage your logical, conscious brain, and become lucid. Reality checks rarely work for themselves.... they require you to engage the conscious brain and ask yourself logical questions. Stick with it, it WILL happen

I still can't...I never managed it...Well I did twice but I didn't control the dream very well.

First time, ( I was into pokémon) I was in the mall and somehow I figured out that I was dreaming, and I'm like......I want a pokéball! and like it didn't work...

Second time, I was outside of my house, on my lawn and I said "Hey wait a minute, why is the sky dark purple? I must be dreaming!" Then I waited about 10 minutes it felt like to wake up, I was thinking "I better not get stuck here.."

You mean even after you became lucid you tried to wake up for 10 minutes and it took that long to wake up? Every single time i become lucid i wake up almost immediately, you were lucky! And besides, what would be so bad about getting stuck in a dream? lol You cant, but i'd love it,at least for as long as i wanted to sleep!
