| I just ordered 2 of Marcey Hamm's cd's,one is Inward Harmony,and the other is Z. Inward Harmony is supposed to have healing effects on whoever listens to it,as well as other strange phenomena (plants growing in the direction of the speakers,etc.) And Z is to help you get rid of your fear or whatever is blocking you from living your dreams,it helps bridge the gap between reality and your dreams,and helps you manifest things better. Well here's my experience so far. I've listened to Inward Harmony the last 2 nights,and nothing has happened. I wasnt expecting much,since i have no health problems,that i know of anyway. Then last night i listened to that one and Z,alternating,all night long. First,i dont ever remember being asleep,but i felt like i was dreaming while i was awake! I KNOW i was awake laying there trying to fall asleep,and a dream started. Then it would end like 10 seconds later and i'd be fully alert again. That has never happened to me. Then,i was finally able to control one of my dreams,or rather,make a specific person appear and control them in my dream...this is something i've been trying to do for over a year now! The only bad part about last night was that i got up really tired like i felt like i havent slept hardly at all,i felt like the whole night i was mostly awake but i know i had at least 4 dreams that i remember,but it felt like my dreams were happening while i was awake. It was wierd. I also felt sleep paralysis really strong at one point but i was still unable to astrally project,which is something i've tried (and somewhat succeeded,i think) about 3 or 4 times. But last night i couldnt and it just ended up fully waking me up instead. So has anyone else had any experience with her cd's? Here's the link to her site in case anyone wants to check it out. http://www.musicbymarcey.com/ |

| Sounds interesting. I'd love to hear what becomes of it in a few weeks. I've only listened to one, The Sphinx of Imagination, and it's a trip. Or, it takes you on a trip. The ultimate synthesis between NLP, hypnosis and music. You should def make note, or keep track of your "progress", and let us know how it works.

| I have a feeling i'm going to feel stupid after i hear the answer to this,but what does NLP stand for? anyway,that description you gave there sounds exactly like what i want to experience,i dont remember seeing that one listed on there though,i'll have to look at it again. |

| NLP is neuro linguistic programming. Studied some of that at one time,no longer know much about it. Marcey's CD are cool. I have some and when I first got them I used to meditate with them on and have nice "trips" or inner journeys of spontaneous imagery. There was one that had some louder sounds in the middle of the "song" that was a little difficult sometimes. I'd be lulled into a state and then the louder sounds would jar me some. I seem to remember it as thunder sounds but may be confusing it with another CD. Maybe I could dust my Marcey CDs off and give them a listen some more. I have also enjoyed Jeffery Thompson brain wave CDs in a similar way - gets me into a inner journery state of mind. cool to hear you experiences. That sleep paralysis is a wild feeling. Have had some of that recently just out of my own volition. |

| I just started listening to one song from the Inward Harmony CD that I was able to download. I can't find anywhere to buy and download the entire CD so will have to make a trip to Borders I imagine. I'm definitely interested in hearing about your experiences with listening to her CDs. |

| I'm on my 4th night now and still nothing extraordinary has happened,in fact i'm still getting less sleep every night. I have it turned down just above mute,like she recommended,so i can barely hear it. I wonder if i'm doing something wrong,or maybe you just have to give it a few months. |
| |||
| I slept last night with the one song from Inward Harmony playing over and over. I do feel somewhat better this morning - had a muscle in my leg that was bothering me yesterday and I slept like a rock - but I usually sleep like a rock so that's not different. |
| |||
| Did you play the song on really low volume so you could barely hear it? Cuz i cant sleep as good if i have it turned up a bit,so i have it 2 levels above mute. But one of the cd's is so quiet i cant hear it and the other i can hear so i dont wanna turn it up any more than it is. I havent noticed a single bit of difference from these,i still have a bad kink in my neck that i've had for weeks,and today i even woke up with my left ear completely plugged |
| |||
| I played it with the volume low but I could still hear it (barely). I'm thinking I should take a trip to Borders to buy the CD (if they have it). Last night when I put it on, it seems like I fell asleep immediately. Too bad it didn't help your neck or your ear. Have you tried using a heating pad? Garlic oil (a drop or two) usually helps ear problems. Hope you feel better! |
| |||
| I dont have a heating pad,but that wouldnt help because my sore neck is from using my laptop,cuz i sit back on my couch and my head is tilted down and somewhat to the side (cuz when i type i have to tilt it sideways) and this started a few months after i bought my laptop so i know thats what its from. And it wont go away unless i quit using my computer. My ear problem,well thats happened many times in my life,i've had ear problems a lot. Why it would be happening now is beyond me,i dont even have a cold or anything. But it opens up once i get out of bed,like it always does,so,thats not really an issue. Just annoying cuz when i lay on the opposite side,i cant hear anything LOL See,if i turn my volume up loud enough to hear it then i keep waking up! So i dont know if i should leave it on low or what. But i'm getting worse instead of getting better...now I have wierd red bumps all over my legs now and i dont know where they came from,they look like mosquito bites only one of them is 3 inches big and it hurts and it doesnt itch. Just wierd stuff man...but i'm afraid to stop playing the cd's cuz then i'd be back at square one if i decided to start listening to them again. |

| Hi rockchick, I've came across this cd too, from long ago and have been somewhat intrigued by it, (it's origins and reputed effects on people)... To be honest, I really have very little idea at all if her cd will work, let alone for anyone who listens to it, and even Marcey notes that it's not a cure all- everyone will have a different experience with it... But now that you have it, why not get some use out of this thing? Maybe there are three more ways you can use it; - by playing it continuously and listening to it during the day in the background. According to the testimonials on her site and elsewhere, playing it as background music continuously caused healings to occur. It might also help your mind become used to the sounds so you can ease into sleep without interruption. - For healing, you can condition your mind to accept any the healing this CD has been claimed to perform. For example mentally tell your body to respond to the healing sounds from the CD and heal your neck. Or imagining that the sounds (vibrations) from the CD are going into you and healing your neck. Before bed, repeat a number of times of the effect you want it to have on you, then drop off to sleep! - Listen to it while meditating or simply close your eyes, then relax, then visualize the sounds having the effect you want on yourself. You can use your own relaxation/meditation technique, but the main focus will be visualizing the sounds healing you or doing what you want it to do. Hope this may help, if it does let us know please? Take care Rockchick....... Last edited by nightdiamond : 06-18-2008 at 10:02 AM. |

Hi rockchick, guess what? I have a strange story to tell you....... After reading your post last night, I wanted to see if there is any real benefit to this, and if it could help you as well, so I used myself as an experiment. I stated strongly with intensity that I will respond to this music, before I went off sleep, and played the cd all night. I've been experimenting with this cd anyway , playing it all night for weeks, but this time I wanted a specific effect to happen. Last night (or this morning) almost all night long, I had almost the exact same experience that you described rockchick.. Of having vivid, meaningful dreams, except being or feeling awake and aware while having them..and I mean awake, not lucid, awake... ...the paralysis, ..in fact I actually had to get up for a brief second to stop the process.... Could have been a coincindence, but still, it was really weird... So one idea you can try is to state strongly to yourself that you will respond to this music, whether, listening to it during the day and especially before you go to sleep... although I can't guarantee anything will happen, it's worth trying.... For the meditation, since the purpose would be to heal your neck or something extrodinary to happen Maybe one key is to state with some instensity what it is you want it to do for you, and then go on to visualize it while meditating to the music... that might make meditating more interesting and less boring as it can sometimes be... Take care........ Last edited by nightdiamond : 06-19-2008 at 01:39 AM. |

| NightDiamond...WOW! you actually had the same experience i did? Thats interesting. But i didnt see it as a good thing,really. The dream cd is supposed to help you manifest your dreams and to break down the walls of fear you are keeping up that are preventing you from living the life you want. It isnt really supposed to directly affect your actual dreams. Interestingly,i had some crazy dreams last night,all very metaphorical and strange,even for me (i hardly ever have dreams that make sense). I had turned the volume up one level,so i could actually hear the cd's playing all night. This prevented me from sleeping well,and i kept waking up to the cd or because of my neck hurting. One of my dreams was so creepy,i killed someone but then i thought i wouldnt get caught and then i remember thinking 'no wait,i know i didnt do it' and then during the trial,someone was saying that somebody else was gonna get busted for it. It was so wierd. I kept going back and forth between wondering if i really did murder this person or not. Wondering if that correllates to me trying to "kill" my ego,cuz i've been reading up on that lately,the whole Eckhart Tolle teachings. I will have to try what you said and specify a certain outcome i want from this. I just first wanted to try seeing what happened without any directions. I wanted to see if the music would "find" whatever needed fixing and just fix it LOL Guess it doesnt work that way. But when i ordered the cd,Marcey doesnt give any specific instructions,she just says to play the cd's every day. But i'll try what you said and see if that works! |

| If I could describe it, it was like watching myself while I was dreaming. While at the same time, knowing I was having a dream and I could control it no less (and I did in a few cases) . Then there were periods of feeling paralyzed and snapping out of it, and then going into it again. But it wasn't just the feeling of being lucid while asleep, I actually felt fully awake while this happened, as if I wasn't asleep at all -- if that makes any since at all, lol..... Then small, slight feelings of someone else in the room, along with paraylisis, which eventually made me want to stop, so I simply got up. The strange thing is that I didn't feel sleepy or tired in the slightest as I got up to move- no yawning, or stretching- it was as if I were "awake" watching myself as I had dreams.... The cd I used was Inward Harmony, which I heard about a long time ago, and was pretty curious about the claims she made about it. I still won't make any claims about this one, but still having a simillar experience like that is interesting... That was an interesting dream, rockchick- have to admit I'm wondering what the meaning behind this one is too! It's that feeling that it has to be related to something... Umm you don't watch "Law and Order" a lot do you? lol.... We gotta get rid of that kink in your neck, and I came across something that might help you, They're devices that helps position a laptop so you don't have to strain in uncomfortable positions (like bending your neck!) to use it... One is called called "Airdesks" .. ![]() and the "Laptop Genie" ; ![]() ![]() Maybe you've heard of them already, it looks handy to use, and if you use a little menthahol on your neck before going to sleep, the neck problems might clear up eventually... Good luck, take carew Rockchick.. Last edited by nightdiamond : 06-19-2008 at 07:47 AM. |

Oh and thanks for those links about the laptop things for your neck...i'll definately check them out! My plan of attack was to get up and walk around more,stretch my neck up and all around (rather than just keeping it facing down for 4 hours at a time),so far today i'm doing better,but last night at work was so bad i had to take some ibruprofen,cuz it had branched out to my head then it was a full blown headache too. |

| Hello RockChick26, are you still experimenting with Marcey Hamm's CDs? After reading this thread I decided to try them my self and have had some interesting results with inward harmony. Like you I suffer from neck pain brought on by looking down into a computer screen 40 hours a week along with horrible migraines. I began listening to Inward Harmony while at work and have noticed significant improvements in my mood (don’t feel so stressed out), and my migraines melt away after only a few minutes. Sadly I haven’t noticed any change in my neck pain but am happy with the results I have achieved so far, I just hope it’s not a placebo. I see that you have been experimenting with her music for a few months now, anything new to report since june? |
